There were some books yes, they don't mention Alexander at all and I can let verify them as canon or not but even if you include them it doesn't really change the things mentioned here.

I really hope Larian expands upon the Dragon Commander timeline. I know you mentioned it was a bit silly for your tastes, but I see a lot of potential there!

Kinda reminds me of what Obsidian is doing with Avowed, a fantasy world mixed with a bit of tech like gunpowder and cannons... not exactly like Arcanum or Shadowrun, but you get my point.
