By Rostovne
If you know that you've clicked on the bad man but aren't sure why those bullets of yours aren't hitting, then you've come to the right place.

Introduction
Well I'm getting a slight bit of deja vu, but ey 2 years too late is right on time in my book so lets get this started. I'm sure this could still possibly be relevant...unlikely but possible. So it's been years but you still can't seem to shoot the guy standing 10 feet away from you? Well welcome to the picture heavy, text for flavor, sarcastic guide for shooting businessmen (someone owes me a burger for doing this).
The Absolute Basics
Similar to the previous build of the game the crosshair is LYING to you. I know, horrifying right? Most shots at longer ranges won't be within the crosshair, its main use is as a point of reference for where the center of your screen is. Moving on to the meat and potatoes, a quick little mention of our testing conditions.

All pictures were taken from the construction site with short range being directly right of where you start practice. Medium range was front left of where you start practice. Long range was from one ramp wall to the other.

There are 2 modes of firing in this guide, tap firing and mag dumping which is mentioned below the pictures. Tap firing is pulling the trigger once and waiting for the gun to settle before firing again, mag dumping is holding the trigger until the mag is empty. I also didn't "fight" the recoil and attempt to hold it accurate in order to show the natural recoil tendencies of weapons.
The Pistol
Enough of you mentioned it last time that finally, the god of all guns, the headshot machine, the "oh ♥♥♥♥ i've run out of everything else" gun is here. Now time to bury this gun in the dirt where it belongs.

Close range hip fire, slightly above bottom portion of the crosshair

Close range aimed, a little below the close left section of the crosshair

Close range aimed mag dump, sorta randomly goes around the top left portion of the crosshair

Close range hip fire mag dump, peppers the entire inside of the crosshair

I'm passing on medium and long ranges for the pistol because hopefully you aren't using this weapon at those ranges and also damage drop off is going to hit you hard. The pistol already does pitiful damage and at farther distances it's hardly effective
The MP5
An absolute classic bullet hose, here to help with all your but I didn't want to buy a real gun needs. This things scary accurate meaning it's an easy weapon for noobs and lazy people alike to use.

A tiny bit left of the crosshair while hip firing at close range

While aimed at close range it fires just above the middle of the crosshair

Aimed mag dump at close range is hitting the top part of the crosshair

Hip fire mag dump at close range is top right of the crosshair

At medium range hip firing shots land a little below the left part of the crosshair

Aimed medium range firing lands on the top left of the crosshair

Long range aimed mag dumping seems to hit above and left of the top of the crosshair. It's not entirely reliable so expect a bit of variance

Hip fire mag dumping at long range shoots way above the top of the crosshair but is kind of accurate
The UZI
It's here, the bullet hose with suprising accuracy (definitely a lot more accurate than it used to be) and good looks, the UZI.

Close range hip firing, slightly left of the bottom part of the crosshair

Close range aimed, slightly below the top part of the crosshair, sometimes will deviate slightly left

Close range aimed mag dump, mostly around the top part of the crosshair

Close range hip firing mag dump, peppers the entire middle of the crosshair with bullets though there's occassional shots that land outside of it

Medium range hip fire, close left part of the crosshair with occasional shots landing a bit high

Medium range aimed, left of the close top part of the crosshair

Long range aimed mag dump, goes very high at first but then settles into a bit left of the top portion of the crosshair.

Long range hip fire, essentially a slightly less (or more) accurate version of the aimed fire depending on the will of the rng gods
The AK47
Lets go, budget M4 or "alternative M4 that hits like a drunk brick that's fallen out of an airplane". It's about as accurate as a drunkard as well so be aware of that.

Close range hip fire, left of the bottom portion of the crosshair or below the left part of the crosshair. Either perspective, aim there and you'll hit

Close range aimed, below the top part of the crosshair. Some shots veer left a little so be aware of that

Close range aimed mag dump, starts below the top part of the crosshair before climbing up and settling above and to the left of the top of the crosshair.

Close range hip fire mag dump is a little wild, it settles far above and right of the crosshair. Best bet is to stick to aimed fire with this gun

Medium range hip fire, hits all along the left section of the crosshair

Medium range aimed, above the close left crosshair section

Long range aimed mag dump, first 5 to 10-ish shots are uncontrollable before it settles to left of the top portion of the crosshair.

Long range hip fire mag dump is a joke and you have to be aiming so far down it's comedic. Just use aimed shots if you actually want to hit something without burying your face into concrete.
The M4
The moneygun, it's a gun...it shoots people...shoots em pretty good. Real accurate, almost a laserbeam once it gets going.

Close range hip fire, left of the bottom portion of the crosshair. Almost perfectly accurate

Close range aimed, between the close left and top portions of the crosshair

Close range aimed mag dump, this ones a little more complicated than the picture shows. The first 2 shots land where the tap fired shots landed before jumping up to the next 3-5 landing around the top portion of the crosshair, after that it settles into a laser beam at the tippy top part of the crosshair.

Close range hip fired mag dump, first 3-5 shots seem to land semi-randomly right of the top part of the crosshair before it settles into a laser beam around where those previous bullets landed

Medium range hip fire, lands close left on the crosshair with very little deviation

Medium range aimed fire, lands above the close left or left of the close top bit of the crosshair

Long range aimed mag dump, takes around 5-10 shots to settle but once it does it's a laser beam above and left of the top of the crosshair

Long range hip fire mag dump, literally a laser beam a little above the top of the crosshair
Conclusion
Alright you've managed to get this far, congragulations. I hoped you liked reading the same description over and over again because weapons seem to have "relatively" similar patterns. So what have you learned? Well bar moving or being in a vehicle you should hopefully be able to shoot that guy sprinting at you with dual pistols screaming like a madman.

Also here's a quick Q&A because why not? YOU CAN'T STOP ME

Q: WHERE'S THE MAGNUM, MAGNUM BEST GUN
A: I uh...don't think the magnum is in the new version of sub rosa yet? Even if it is I couldn't find it so...eh not my problem

Q: Why you take so long to make a guide, it's been 2 bloody years
A: For some reason sub rosa ran terribly on my previous computer but it looks like the recent updates and getting a new pc means it works great now. Also I somewhat forgot I even made the original guide until I saw a youtube video of sub rosa and remembered. Clearly this makes me the most qualified to make a sequel guide (even if I haven't played in those 2 years at all)

Q: Why no pictures for long range hip fire?
A: Because steams new guide photo system is really annoying and makes me upload photos one at a time or have around a 30 minute delay if I upload all at once and thats super annoying. Also aimed firing is almost always better than hip firing (exception is the M4 which has scary accurate hip fire) if you have the time and don't need to move

Q: Why no pictures for mag dumping at medium range?
A: A mixture of laziness and because you can guesstimate it using the long range and close range mag dumps. It's around inbetween the both of them. If people really want it and request it a bunch I might put it in.

Also quick thanks to Jules guide on damage, go look at it. It's where I found out that the /arm commands existed and it's also just a well made piece of work.

You can use /arm 1-5 to get some weapons into your inventory and /car for a car in any matches you start including practice.

@Yegor You spawn stuff in practice by typing in chat /arm [number] I don't remember which number is which but you can figure it out
