Description
Welcome to the location of a historic UK railway! The Stockton and Darlington railway is considered to be the first steam powered railway in the UK for the transportation of coal from the busy mining towns in the area. Make your own mark upon history... will you build a monument to past endeavours, or will you re-imagine the Stockton and Darlington railway in your own image?

Map Features...

* Medium size temperate map, no additional mods required. Minimal elevation changes. Easy to play.

* Heightmap has been detailed with the addition of textures, river and industry detailing.

* 20 villages, towns and cities; Including Stockton-on- Tees, Darlington, Middlesborough, Hartlepool and Durham.

* 13/20 towns will accept industry, whilst the 7 other smaller villages will only accept passengers. Town land use has been modified to represent this and will therefore have increased residential land use.

* Hand placed industry. 6 of each raw material and 3 of each finishing industry. Note that for historical considerations, this map does not have any oil based industry, which removes the fuel and plastic finished goods from the game.

Was looking for cool authentic UK maps and stumbled across this. As a local I have to comment...
The River Tees should at least make an appearance near Darlington. And Middlesbrough is spellt wrong. Apologies if there has been an update. This was just me looking at the video on Steam. Cheers

Thanks. I'm not sure which map my next gameplay series will be. I think the best way would be to let viewers select from a poll.
