And personally, I really like Hedge Mages, even though they are not the most powerful. One of the overlooked things about them (especially early in the game) is that you can equip -Combat relics at no downside. Her only damage is True, so you lose nothing. Early on, when recovery is a little less consistent (fewer items and lower Overwatch stats/relics), even those 2 little HP can make a difference. Plus she's great at supporting a Blood Mage in the party if you have a setup where you want Lyric up front.
Evelia's basic skill says short range, and rally says "gives 1 hp and +1 combat"
(Also, her damage reduction is hard to control. You can't Provoke and DR in the same turn, meaning you can blow all your energy on shields while everyone else takes the hits.)
Dragoon is good, and +STR Scoundrel is fine if you spec Lyric into Sleight. So that's a front line I guess.
Why does Dragoon get to apply -1 STR on top of everything else for the same power cost? The world may never know.
