Skin download timed out fix

The best fix to this that I have found is to open console [F1] and type graphics.itemskintimeout 1 into the console. Then the skins will load a lot faster. Might become a little laggy but you can always set it back to 60 which is the default.

It is done when it stops spamming Skin download timed out in the console. I recommend keeping it at 1 even if it is done. It does occasionally get put back to 60 when you exit the game.
