Silent Skyrim - No Music

Description
Pretty simple, stops Skyrim's default music from playing. Increases immersion.

Why did I create this? Because, I prefer to play without music. I find it very peaceful, especially with Audio Overhaul for Skyrim. Yes, you can set the music slider to 0 in the Skyrim settings, however, that mutes ALL music, including that from mods like Moonlight Tales - Werewolf and Werebear Overhaul. I wanted the music that came with that mod to play while I'm a werewolf, and no music to play while I'm not a werewolf. I also wanted to hear the music that came with Falskaar, but not Skyrim's vanilla music. This mod allows you to do all of that.

Works well with SkyRadio[skyrim.nexusmods.com] as well. You will hear the Radio's music, and the Radio's music only with this mod.

Disabling music in-game will disable all music, including certain sound effects, such as finding new locations, some quest sound effects, all "discovery" sound effects, reward sound effects, and any form of music from mods, so I recommend this mod instead.

Incompatible with most mods that add music to Skyrim's vanilla locations.

Compatible and recommended with Audio Overhaul for Skyrim or Sounds of Skyrim.

Thanks for this mod. It helps me replace the music using other mods like celtic music editions. :wsma_sakura:

this is what I was looking for, normally I don't play with music so I can hear the ambience, but turning the music off would turn other sounds off as well, like when you discover a new place, or when you learn a new thu'um... thanks for this mod!

For those of you to lazy to go into your game menu and turn off the music volume.

You do know there is a music sound bar that you can turn all the way down?

Does this allow you to toggle in game, like tied to and reworking the slider, not unchecking being the only way to revert back? If not that would be ideal.

If I get this mod. Is there any way I can deactivate it to get the normal music back?

Thank you for this neat mod. It must be annoying to see so many people not understand what you mean, but I understand. :) Let's say a bard was playing his lute and you can't hear him because of the annoying background symphony- so what do you do? You try the slider, but oh no! The lute music was also silenced, that's not what you wanted! Only workaround for this is making a mod that is smart enough to only take away the symphony, like you have done, and I appreciate that. ^^

@foxyguy13

No one here said their music slider was missing.

You go and make a mod for "no music" when you can just slide the music slider down...Now if your music slider is missing like you claim, re-install/download the game and it should fix it, that or you have to go through your mods to figure it out. If that doesn't work, then you're SOL

@Sir Daafod

The music slider is misleading. Telling someone to turn their music slider down will also disable sound effects the game labels as "music" when in fact they're sound effect. The fact remains that 100% of your percentages are made up. I'm sure most people would want to disable JUST music, not sound effects.
