You're ugly.

Trying to make a full colour flair can be confusing.

Engineer has 11 PHDs and still can't understand these new fangled template whatsits and thingamajigs.

Which is why this guide is created to help players whether they're engineer or engifar to create some EPIC full colour flairs with nothing more that MS paint.
Setting up files
For me, TF2 is stored under program files 86 so your file path might be different.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\fullcolor\scripts\items\custom_texture_blend_layers

Ensure that you have the files such as fullcolor, scripts, items and custom_texture_blend _layers.
If the files are not present, create them by clicking the new folder icon (ctrl + shift + N) and rename them.

These folders cannot have spelling mistakes in their name as it might lead to problems later so check your spelling!
Ms paint time!
Step 1) Open Paint

Step 2) Open flair_template_guide in paint

Step 3) Copy the image you want onto your clipboard and paste it inside flair_template_guide

Step 4) Select the resize option (ctrl + W) and select pixels. Uncheck the maintain aspect ratio box and set both horizontal and vertical to 64.

Step 5) use the select all function (Ctrl + A) to select your newly resized 64x64 demonium image and copy it.

Step 6) Now go back to resizing and set your both horizontal and vertical to 128 such that the full size of your image is 128x128

Step 7) Now paste (Ctrl + P) your resized demonium image from your clipboard! it should appear on the top left corner of your image.

Step 8) Now paste the demonium image and drag it over to the right corner and repeat for the other 2 demoniums.

Step 9) save your image and you're done! the final product should look like this.

Applying the decal tool
Congrats on making it this far! if everything up to this point is correct you should have no problems for this application process.

Step 1) Select the decal tool in your backpack and select the flair you want to decal

Step 2) Select your image! it should be in the location under your custom_texture_blend_layers folder saved as flair_template_guide

Posting my file path here again for reference

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\fullcolor\scripts\items\custom_texture_blend_layers

Step 3) Now press the Next button and you should have a somewhat full colour flair with a strange dark filter on it.

to resolve this, drag the colour palette all the way to the left and your flair the darkness will now be gone.

apply the decal and you're done!

I followed the instructions and it turned out very small, in tf2 only a tiny speck shows in the top right corner when applying a decal
