The mod only replaces textures. So your saves should be fine.
Trust me, I'm a truck driver in the US. I've traveled all over this country, and through just about every state minus California, Alaska, and Hawaii. Line colors are pretty much the same whereever you go. Yellow in the middle, to dictate the separation of traffic flow, and white on the outside edges. The ONLY time you'll ever see a different set up is on major interstates and multilane highways, where the yellow line will be on the far left, with dashed or solid white lines denoting the different lanes.
Essentially, this mod is mostly accurate, with the exception of the interstates. But I wont fault the mod author for that due to it being a base game issue. :)
