Current Maps covered: Dust II,Mirage & Inferno.

Smokes and Flashes and Molotovs/Incendiaries for commonly played maps (what I play at least).

idk like this guide or something I guess.

Like or favourite this guide and make guides like this with actual, useful information more popular, or maybe share it with your teammates or others, i dunno. Do whatever you want.

Current Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Resolution: 1900 X 1080 (should not affect nade lineups)
Viewmodel Position: Desktop (will affect nade lineups)

This guide is a WIP. I'll be updating this guide occasionally as I find more nades to add, or if I have the interest to do so. I'm not going to be adding much specific details for each nade spots because I have other things to do. Be sure to experiment with the nade lineups and such in-game by yourself.

Dust II - A Site & X Box Smokes (T)

A Long Smokes

A Long Corner Smoke: Stand at the corner structure. Then aim around where the crosshair is. Jump Throw

Fastest A Long Corner Smoke: If you spawn at this specific spot in T Spawn, you can do this smoke. Or, line yourself with the left door of Mid with fence gap at T Spawn. Aim above this right angle. Jump Throw

--A Long Wall Smokes (2)--

A Wall Smoke 1: Stand in front of the metal door. Aim slightly left to the height of the roof corner. Left Click Throw. Lands on the right side of Long.
Walk Left Click Throw if you want it to land further (pops slightly longer)

A Wall Smoke 2: Stand at the corner of the metal garage door, near to the boxes. Aim a little left of the roof corner. Left Click Throw. Lands on the left side of Long. This can substitute for an A Long Corner Smoke

--A Long (Cross) & Short--

A Cross Smoke: Stand in the tip of the shadow at Long. Aim just right of the tip of the roofing. Run Throw. Lands left / close of the A Site gap
* Have a teammate throw another smoke, either by lobbing or throwing the smoke (no need for lineup) to block the right / far gap.

A Short Smoke (From Long): For A Long Executes. Stand in the right corner of the barrel. Line up with the black line on the wall, and aim just below or on the first wire. Left Click Throw

A Short Smokes

Short Smoke: Stand at the middle of the barred door, and aim at the black smudge. Left Click Throw. Most useful smoke for Short executes, and gives a one-way to Car & CT

CT Smoke (Lurk): Technically a CT Spawn Smoke, but is mostly used in strats to jump into CT from A Short or to contest A Long in an A Short Execute. Stand at the corner of the garage-type door. Aim at the edge of the building.Left Click Throw. Complement with the Short Smoke.

--Short Boost Smoke--

Short Boost Smoke (A Short Take): Aim around the centre of this decorative wall. Left Click Throw. Obscures you a lot to people at A Long and gives a one-way to default boxes. Combine with the Short Smoke for an effective smoke wall

Short Boost Smoke Alt (A Short Take): Slightly safer variant. Stand at the side of the A Short Box facing X-Box. Aim up from the metal bar, and between the crack and the small roofing. Left Click Throw

--A Cross Smoke (Sightline)--

A Cross Smoke (Sightline): Stand at the middle of the white square (stair ledge) at the top of the stairs. Aim above the middle of the rightmost brick. Left Click Throw

A Cross Smoke Alt (Sightline): Run forwards from the A Short corner. Run Jump throw as you reach the stairs.

--Site Execute Concept (3)--

A Site Smoke Goose: Stand at the corner of Short. Line the black space with the second point the wire connects with the lamp. Left Click Throw
(Desktop Viewmodel): Line up the smoke grenade's pin with the brown smudge on the opposite wall

A Site Smoke Left: Stand at the smudge on the wall. Aim at the height where the wire connects with the lamp, lined up with left edge of the rightmost brick. Left Click Throw

A Site Smoke Right: Stand at the edge of the second step. Line up with the balcony and aim just above the top wire. Left Click Throw. Lands further inside site

--Others--

A Site Smoke Right Alt: (REQUIRES DESKTOP VIEW). Crouch at the edge of the first step. Line up the rounded end of the smoke grenade's pin with the bottom part of the corbel (a structural piece that juts from the wall, and provides support to an overhang etc). Stand up & Left Click Throw. Lands precisely on the ledge on A Site. Pair with the Cross Smoke.

A Site Smoke Right Alt (Useful): Crouch at the edge of the first step, and aim the left tip of the smoke a little bit to down and to the right of the above smoke. Stand up & Left Click Throw. Lands inside of the site

X-Box Smokes - (6 ways)

1) No Bind
Line up topmost right window frame with the close yellow wall. Place crosshair on smudge left of window. Quick Run Throw

2) Quick
Stand just at the corner of the wall. Aim at the height of the far corner of the roof, lined with the smudge. Jump Throw

3) Quick 2
Stand at the corner facing Mid Doors. Aim above X Box up to the corner of A Short. Jump Throw

4) Easiest
Stand at the very back of Tunnels, stuck at the box. Aim at the dark ceiling edge. Left Click Throw

5) Running
Run Left Click Throw. Run along the left side of Suicide, and aim a little above the far building. Release as you pass the blue door to the right

6) Door
Unorthodox way to smoke for X-Box. Stand at the very corner of the mid door and aim around the bottom of the metal hinge. Right Click Throw. Care that CT's can see your legs (you can see them too)

Dust II - B & CT Spawn Smokes (T)

B Site Smokes

B Lurk Smoke: Stand at the front side of the pillar. Aim at the right of the tunnel entrance and at the faint line. Left Click Throw. Allows you to exit B Tunnels & slowly clear site. To followup with a flash, Run Throw at the same spot
*Care that CT's can hide in the smoke. If they keep abusing this, use the second smoke

B Site Smoke: Stand at the left side of the pillar. Aim slightly left of the corner and around this height Run Left Click Throw. Lands in front of Big Box, blocking most angles at B Site

B Site Smoke (Tunnel): Stand at the left frame of the exit into Tunnel. Line up with the second gap on the right. Left Click Throw

B Window Smoke: Stand at the edge of the B Tunnel exit, and aim at the bottom edge of the long windows. Left Click Throw

--B Doors--

B Door Smoke (Tunnel): Stand in the corner behind the pillar inside Tunnel. Aim slightly left of this small gap. Immediate Step Walk Left Click Throw. Requires practice

CT Spawn Smoke (A Site): For A Long Takes. Stand right between the cinder blocks, then aim just above the corner of the building above. Left Click Throw.

CT Spawn Smoke (Mid): For Mid to B executes. Aim at the dot on the wall, standing at the edge of X-Box. Left Click Throw.

CT Spawn Smoke (Top Box of CT): On catwalk, stand at the middle of the barred door and aim at the top of the wall & right of the brown smudge. Walk Left Click Throw

--Others--

CT Smoke Alt (Top Box of CT): Aim below this vertical wood column. Blocks vision from CT's on top of the box in CT Spawn. Left Click Throw

CT Mid Smoke (Left): Stand at the inside corner of the tunnel entrance in Lower Tunnel. Aim above the pillar structure. Left Click Throw

Dust II - Smokes (CT)

CT

Retakes:
B Tunnel Smoke: Stand at the back wheel of the truck. Aim at this side of the box. W + Jump Throw. Follow with a walk flash (see B Left Retake Flash)

Situational Smokes:
Mid Lurk Smoke: Stand at the box corner in just outside CT Spawn. Aim at the small opening at the roof. Left Click Throw. Will take some time to pop, but allows lurking into Lower Tunnel. Alternatively after crossing the Mid Doors with a mandatory smoke, just throw the smoke at X Box from the Mid Door gap.

A Long Doors Smoke (From A Short): Stand in the left shadow in A Short. Aim above the door frame. Jump Throw. Possible smoke to throw after getting boosted to Short.

Run Jump Throw. Stand in the corner. Line the top of the smoke with the line, and the right edge with specific part shown (Desktop View). Lands around A Cross. Really inconsistent. (6:15)

Jump Throw. Stand in the Mid Door Corner. Aim at the top of the faint smudge. Lands in A Long Corner (6:50)

Jump Throw. Stand at the barrel corner. Aim a little above the wall edge (or at the bottom of the lamp part). (7:15)

Dust II - Flashes (T)

Mid

Mid Pop Flash: Same position as CT Spawn smoke. Aim slightly above the edge of X-Box. Left Click Throw. Full blind those that hold close to mid doors (though the flash bounce is audible from this position, so it can be avoidable)

Mid Flash (Towards B): Same position as above. Aim at the small black dot shown on the image. Left Click Throw. Pops above mid doors. Flashes those that try to peek at mid doors towards B, while your teammates will not be flashed

Mid Flash Alt (Towards B): Same position as above. Aim at this corner. Step Left Click Throw. Pops further into CT Mid, blinding a larger area (can blind your own teammates too so care).

A Long

A Long Pop Flash (Support): Stand in the middle of the garage door. Line crosshair with tip of pal tree. Walk Left Click Throw. Flashes almost all angles CT's can hold at A Long.

A Long Flash (Long Doors): Stand in the middle of Outside Long, along the wall. Aim between the top and bottom of the white ceiling border. The lower you aim, the further the flash goes at A Long. Jump Left Click Throw

Situational A Long / Car Pop Flash: [REQUIRES DESKTOP VIEW]
Stand at the right end of the barrel. Line this tip of the flash with the line on the right shutter of the window. Left Click Throw. Pops at the other side of the small square signs high on the wall. Enemies facing towards Long or at Car (though not at some very specific places for reasons) will be full blind, whilst your teammates would be barely flashed

A Short

Short Pop Flash (Outside Long): Back up to the wall at high mid and line with the smudge on the other wall. Aim a little lower than the smudge. Jump Left Click Throw. Flashes close Short. Will flash teammates along Catwalk (so tell them beforehand)

Short Pop Flash 1: With control of Mid, you can do this better alternative. Stand in the middle of the green door at High Mid. Line with edge of the close building, and aim at the level of the beam holding the wires. Walk Left Click Throw / Step Left Click Throw. Does not blind your teammates along Catwalk. It will also full blind people around the boost box at Short

Short Pop Flash 2: Same spot as 2. Quick Walk Left Click Throw / Step Left Click Throw. If done correctly, it will flash people holding the difficult corner on top of Short & those hiding at stairs corner

Short Pop Flash (Deep): Start at the telephone pole. Aim at the level of the bottom of the black square. Run for about 1 sec. Jump Throw

Short Pop Flash (Tunnel): Stand at the side of the lower tunnel entrance. Aim at the roof corner. Jump Throw. Very effective

Stand around the back wheels of the car. Both Left Click Throw
* Smoke: Aim at the bottom tip of the metal bar
* Flash: Aim around where the two top wires meet. The flash will not blind your teammates holding A Long from the corner or away from it

A Long Smoke & Flash Jump: Run straight from the back of the Car to the wall. Both are Jump Throws
* Smoke: Aim at the bottom left corner of the wall square
* Flash: Aim at the level of the small box

Close A Long Flash: Stand in the metal garage door. Step Left Click Throw

Fancy A Site Pop Flash: Get stuck at the box under site, Aim up from the left edge of the 'T', to the top of the box line. Left Click Throw. Should full blind anyone pushing up to Site from Short

1.Stand the the right headlight of the front of the truck at CT Mid, and aim at the height here. Flashes people holding the tight corner near the stairs of Tunnel
2.Stand at the middle of the front of the truck and aim at the same place. Flashes people on the other side of Lower Tunnel

--Retakes--

B Left Retake Flash: After throwing the B Tunnel Smoke, aim a little above the roof and Walk Left Click Throw. Thrown correctly, teammates should not be blind

B Right Retake Flash: Stand in the inside corner. Aim above the far roof till flash end is on the level of the scaffolding wood (Desktop View). Left Click Throw. Pops behind the pillar. Should blind those under window as well

B Right Retake Flash (Close): Close version of the above flash. Stand at the left edge of the scaffolding. Aim up from the roof, up to where the tip of the flash touches the brown window (Desktop Viewmodel). Left + Right Click Throw. If thrown correctly, the flash should pop on the others side of the pillar (from your view), allowing a quick push through window

B Site Support Retake Flash: Go to the corner of CT Mid. Aim around the tip of the box. Jump Throw. Leaves no time to react. Blinds the majority of site

Short Stairs Molo: Go inside of the cubby at A Short. Aim at the level of the red graffiti, and slightly left into the wall. Jump Throw

A Headshot Molo: In conjunction with the A Short Smoke. Aim above the smoke plume, or at the specific black line on the corner. Left Click Throw

Incendiaries

B Back Plat Incen: Crouch at the left end of the scaffolding. Aim at the middle of the brick below the gap. Crouch Left Click Throw

B Site Incen (Jump): Stand at the wall near Window. Aim at the line of the shadow. Jump Throw. Easiest to do

B Site Incen Alt: Stand at the left end of the scaffolding (same as the Back Plat incendiary). Aim at or slightly above the dark spot on the brick and left of it so that the grenade ricochets down into the site. Left Click Throw

Nades

Mid Cross Nade: Stand in this corner in CT Spawn. Aim where the white line touches this beam. Left Click Throw. Allows crossing to B (with some damage) and for your AWPer to peak

Mid Window Smokes:

Most convenient. Jump Bind needed:
Mid Window (Walk Jump): Stand at the door corner. Aim at the white balcony here and walk until the crosshair reaches the line below. Walk Jump Throw.

Alt 1:
Mid Window 1 (Back Alley): Stand at the corner tip of the roof shadow at Back Alley. Aim at where the antenna connects with the wire. Left Click Throw

Alt 2:
Mid Window 2 (Back Alley): Position at the inner right angle on top of the stairs outside B Apts. Line up slightly right of the shadow line, up to the wire. Left Click Throw. Safer smoke to throw as you are not visible from B Apts

--Catwalk Smoke--

Easiest:
Catwalk Smoke: Stand on top of the dustbin and go all the way into the corner. Aim at the tip of the topmost right antenna. Left Click Throw

--B Short Smoke--

B Short Smoke (Mid): Stand at the edge of the boxes and wagon. Aim at the bottom tip of the antenna. Left Click Throw. For A Site Take from Mid.

B Short Smoke 2: Stand below the electrical box. Aim around the roof pipe. Left Click Throw

A Site

---Site Execute (3 Smokes)---

Stairs Smoke: Stand on the step, and aim at the crosshair. Left Click Throw

Connector / Jungle Smoke: Stand at the middle pillar, then line up midway with the wall structure. Left Click Throw

CT Spawn Smoke: Stand at the corner. Aim at the tip of the wooden beam (Care for one way on top of CT Box). Jump Throw

CT Spawn Smoke 2: Stand at the middle of the door. Aim at this corner. (No one-way smoke. Care for CT Stairs). Jump Throw. Pair with the Pop Flash

--Situational--

Jungle Smoke: Stand on the black line slightly further along the walkway. Line up with the white line and aim just above the wall. Left Click Throw. Mostly for A Site Executes with a Connector push from the team.

A Site (Close): Stand at the corner, line up with the tip of the pillar structure and aim up to the top of the tower. Left Click Throw. The higher throw makes the smoke pop slightly faster on site (4 secs vs 5 secs)

--Jump Throws--

Jungle Jump Smoke: Stand at this side of the open window outside T Spawn. Aim up in between the building and wood, to the straw roof. Run & Jump Throw as your vision bumps up (1:10)

Stairs Jump Smoke: Stand at the side of the Bin. Aim in between the window. Walk Jump Throw when your crosshair is on the carpet (1:30)

--Palace--

Palace Lurk Smoke: Line yourself with the edge of the pillar. Crouch and aim up from the second x on the bottom wall border to the faint marks on the wall. Crouch Left Click Throw

Palace Trick Smoke: Could be used as a way to extinguish molotovs thrown into Palace. Aim where the wood meets the wall for consistency. Step Left Click Throw. Should bounce from the stone pillar outside to the other side of the palace wall

Jungle Smoke (Underpass): Get stuck right into this specific corner in Underpass. Aim in the middle of the space in the wire, up to the top of the pipe. Left Click Throw

-Here are 2 smokes that I've found which could be used if executing from B Short. Be sure to have Connector / Window smoked off first

Smoke 1: Stand at the corner of the blue building at Catwalk. Line up with right edge of the open rectangle, and up to the bottom of the lamp OR when the smoke grenade left tip reaches the top edge of the roof (Desktop Viewmodel). Left Click Throw. Lands at the entrance to Site, close to window.

Smoke 2: Get stuck at the right inside corner of the green door towards B Short. Line up with the specific edge in the carpet design, and aim up till the middle of the roof awning OR the tip of the smoke grenade lines with the dark line (Desktop Viewmodel). Left Click Throw. Lands outside Window.

Mirage - Smokes (CT)

Mid:

Mid Smoke (Connector): Stand in between the CT Box and Ticket. Aim at the middle of the palm leaf. Left Click Throw. Allows your teammate to safely peek into Underpass

A Site Pop Flash 2: Stand behind the wooden plank on the walkway. Aim above the small white line, at the height of the pillar structure. Left Click Throw. Full blinds the majority of CT's in site watching A Ramp. Warn the team before throwing however or else...

B Site

B Site Flash 1: From behind the Underpass structure, aim under the window. Run Jump Throw. Flashes those holding Bench, under Window, and even Van (if thrown far enough)

B Site Flash 2: Stand behind the wall at the right. Quick Run Left Click Throw. Flashes those holding from B Short

B Trick Flash: Crouch at the barrel behind Van. Aim at the right side of the high window. Crouch Left Click Throw. Should bounce and pop within the window.

Connector Molotov: Line yourself up until you can see most of the connector entrance. Aim at the height of the top line of the window. Step Left Click Throw. Gets the peek angle to Mid, and most of the stairs in Connector.

Shadow Molotov: For when the palace exit is smoked, you can molotov shadow through this lineup. Stand at the small corner towards the end of Palace. Face the barred door and aim at where the top corner of the brown wall lining meets the pale borders. Then run all the way to the far edge of the slanted corner outside the door. Left Click Throw. Burns all of shadow, even the brick box which CT's can crouch on top on

--A After Plant--

A Default Plant Molotov: Crouch along the wall in A Main. Aim at the right angle. Crouch Left Click Throw. Stay crouch so that CT's cannot see your head

B Site

B Bench Molotov: Stand around the bottom right of the stairs in B Apps. Aim around the 3rd space from the left, slightly above the red tarp. Step Left Click Throw. Blazes the side the bench towards Market, forcing opponents to retreat towards Van and be exposed to Apps

Bench He / Molotov: Crouch at the top of the stairs. Aim here. Crouch Walk Left Click Throw. Either throw a He Grenade or Molotov.

B Site Molotov: Get stuck at the comfy chair in B Apps. Aim at the crosshair. Left Click Throw. Blazes the back of site.

A Ramp Corner Nade: From the walkway outside of A Ramp, aim at the smooth ramp on the side of the stairs. Left Click Throw.

Tetris Incen: Line up the box at CT with Triple / Danger Box. Aim between the two roof structures on the far tower. Walk a little and release when the crosshair reaches the level of the antenna. Walk Left Click Throw
(Note: Most often, CT will be smoked by the T's. Jump above the smoke to see the tower to roughly know where to throw the incendiary. The incendiary doesn't have to be exact. Can spread to Sandwich)

Tetris Incen 2: Stand at the very corner in Shadow, from the right of the ladder. Aim below the small opening, around the level of the faint dot on the wood plank on the left. Left Click Throw. Personally, I don't recommend using this nade throw as it's easy to mess up, and often Shadow is molotov'ed by the T's anyways.

T Spawn Walkway Incen: Stand on top of the bricks, lining up with end corner between the first and second brick. Then aim at the height of this brick on the wall. Run Jump Throw. Burns the walkway that T's can stand on top on outside A, specifically at the position where the A Connector smoke is usually thrown. A fun nade to use in very fringe scenarios
