Armor sets.

Hello, and welcome to another guide. This guide is one that is basic and understandable, this guide will help you know what sets are out there, and which one you should go with, or combine with.

Usually with my guides, i was able to find info easily because i can just look in the supply depot or Auction house, but this took longer then I thought. Mostly because of the set pictures taking up so much space, I literally had to work on 2 computers because of the space taken up. That wasn't the case the entire time, as I was able to delete the pictures and save space, found this out by accident. (I was about 1/4 done of the guide).

There are some rules, just to make sure not many questions are asked.

Rules:
1. I am not doing costume sets, because of the hallow, divne, toasty costumes, there would be too much to cover and the fact there are no stats.
2. In each section, there will be each set, but also the upgraded version of it as well (from 1 star to 5 star).
3. I am not including the proto set, we all know what it is.
4. I am not including the shields, I will probably add that in later.

For example, we have on the cover, the Ground Breaker set. It is just a basic suit, only given to players who registered during the preview event. It is 1 star, and has no special abilities.

Leave comments below if I missed something or should add something or if you just want to go hater mode, either way your comments will help the guide.

Spiral knights and these pictures belong to SEGA, and Three Ring Designs.

The Ignition set.
The ignition set is a 1 star set that can be bought, and was given free to players who entered the game through Aeria games. It has a small fire resistance, perfect for beginners.

The spiral scale set.
This set is again, one star and is given to you for completing mission 2-2, but it can be bought. It has no special abilites.

The cobalt sets.
This is given to you, it is one of the most requested sets to have in the game. It goes from 2 to 5 stars. In order, it's Cobalt, Solid Cobalt, Mighty Cobalt, and Azure Guardian. This gives you piercing protection.

The almirin guardian set is 5 stars, and is resistant to curse, but weak to fire.

Frostbreaker sets.
The frostbreaker set is from 1 star to 3 stars. In order, Frostbreaker, Icebreaker, and Blizzbreaker. It makes you resistant to frezze, but makes you vunreable to fire and shock. It can be bought from the vendors. This set gives you elemental protection.

Circuit breaker sets.
This set is from 1 star to 3 star. In order, Ciruit Breaker, Volt Breaker, and Surge Breaker. It makes you resistant to shock, but vunreable to fire and freeze. It is bought from the bazaar. This set gives you normal and and elemental protection.

The Emberbreak sets.
These armor sets give you a fire resistance and elemental protection. The down side is that they make you vunreable to shock and freeze. It is arranged from 1-3 star. In order, Emberbreak, Firebreak, and Blazebreak.

The Chroma sets.
The chroma suit makes you have a small resistance to poison and fire. There are 2 paths to the sets. The entire suit gives you a medium damage bonus against slime, the arcane suit makes you have a medium damage bonus against both slime and beast enemies. The Volcanic salamander suit makes you have a very high damage bonus against slimes, same with the deadly virulisk suit. This gives you a piercing protection.

Fire resistance sets:
As you expect, these 3 sets (4 star and two 5 star), make you resistant to fire.
The Volcanic Salamander set gives you a Damage Bonus vs Beast and Slime: High. The Arcane Salamander set gives you Damage Bonus vs Beast and Slime: Medium. They all have elemental protection, but the Arcane Salamander set gives you more elemental protection.

Poison resistance sets:
These 2 sets (4 star and 5 star) make you resistant to poison along with having a medium damage bonus vs Slimes for the Virulisk set. The Deadly Virulisk set has a very high damage bonus vs Slimes. They have piercing protection.

Jelly sets.
My personal favourite. The jelly sets make you resistant to stun and sleep. The list goes from 2 star to 5 star. In order, Jelly, Brute Jelly, Rock Jelly, and Royal Jelly. This gives you normal and piercing protection.

The Ice Queen set makes you resistant to stun(like before) and freeze, but it removes the sleep resistance, however sleep was removed from the game. Either way it is your choice with each one you choose. This also gives you piercing and normal protection.
Angelic sets.
These sets give you a curse and poison resistance, but you are vunreable to fire. You also have a medium damage bonus against fiends. The stars range from 3 to 5 stars. In order, Angelic, Seraphic, and Valkyrie. This also gives you shadow protection.

The Fallen set is 5 stars and gives you a poison and fire resistance, but a weakness to curse. This also gives you a very high damage penalty against fiends, but lets you attack faster with a medium stat. This gives you shadow protection.

The Heavenly Iron set is 5 star and gives you a curse resistance, but gives you a shock weakness. The full set effect gives your sword a medium damage bonus and a medium damage bonus against fiends. There is a lot of variety when choosing your 5 star angelic set. This gives you shadow protection.

Quicksliver sets.
You can only get the set with bark modules which you get from defeating the Roarmulus twins, in total you need 40 bark modules (3 to 5 star). The Quicksliver set gives you shock resistance. So does the Charged Quicksliver set version too. The mercurial set gives you the higher shock resistance, but also gives you a small movement speed boost. However, it's quite unnoticeable unless you run with someone without it. This also gives you piercing protection.

Anicent plate set.
The Anicent Plate set is unlocked by getting 60 (or 90 for the shield) Almirian tokens. This set makes you attack slower and move slower. But this gives you full protection(the defense bar is full) and gives you stun resistance, but makes you vunreable to sleep(last time i checked, sleep is no longer is in the game insept for vials). With this 5 star set, you can be protected to the max, with the cost of movement loss. This just has normal protection, but at MAX!
The drake scale sets.
The drake scale sets give you a poison and fire resistance, the resistances increase as you go along the alchemy path. The Drake Scale and Wyvern Scale give you a medium damage bonus against beasts. The Dragon Scale set gives you a very high damage bonus against beasts. The set overall gives you piercing and elemental protection.

The gunslinger sets.
The gunslinger set gives you a medium handgun attack speed increase, same with the Sunset set. (3 to 4 star)

The Shadowsun set(5 star) gives you a poison resistance and gives you a very high handgun damage bonus.

The Deadshot set is 5 stars and gives you a curse resistance and gives you a very high damage bonus against undead enemies. It also gives you a medium handgun attack speed.

The Nameless Set(5 stars) gives you a freeze resistance and gives you a very high attack speed with your handgun.
Skelly sets.
These 2-5 sets give you a freeze and poison resistance and is increased the higher the stars are. These sets give you shadow protection. In order, Skelly, Scary Skelly, Sinister Skelly, and Dread Skelly.

The spiral plate sets.
The Spiral Plate, Boosted Plate, Heavy Plate and Ironmight Plate give you a stun resistance, but makes you vunreable to sleep(which enemies do not have). Though each set decreases your attack speed by medium. The sets also give you piercing protection.

The Volcanic Plate set(5 stars) gives you a stun and fire resistance. But still makes you vulnerable to sleep. But still with the attack speed decreased by medium. The set also gives you elemental protection.
The spiral demo sets.
The Spiral Demo, Fused Demo and Heavy Demo sets gives you a medium bomb charge reduction. All of the sets give you elemental protection.

The Bombastic Demo set(5 stars) gives you a high damage bonus for your bombs and also gives you freeze resistance.

The Mad Bomber set(5 stars) gives you a very high bomb damage bonus and charge reduction, but makes you vunreable to fire, posion, shock and freeze.

The Mercurial Demo set(5 stars) gives you a medium movement speed increasement, and a medium bomb damage bonus. This set will also give you a shock resistance(notice the name, remember it being on the quicksliver sets section).

The Volcanic Demo set(5 stars) gives you a very high bomb charge reduction and a fire resistance.
The magic sets.
These sets will give you a fire and shock resistance. These sets are 2-5 stars they go in order to Magic, Elemental, Miracle, and Grey Feather. The ones at the bottom are 5 star. These sets give you elemtental protection.

The Divine set gives you fire and shock resistance like before, insept you get curse resistance too. It also has a medium damage bonus against fiends. This gives you elemental protection.

The Chaos set gives you a very high damae bonus and charge time reduction. The cost is that you are vunreable to poison, freeze, fire, shock, and curse. This set gives you elemental and normal protection.
The wolver sets.
The Wolver, Dusket, and Ash tail Coat sets give you a freeze resistance and a medium damage bonus. Along with piercing protection.

The Skolver Coat set(5 stars) gives you very high sword damage bonus and a better freeze resistance. This set gives you piercing protection.

The Snarbolax Coat set(5 stars) gives you a very high sword damage bonus, along with posion and freeze resistance. This set gives you shadow protection.

The Vog Cub Coat set(5 stars) gives you a fire resistance and gives you a very high attack speed. This set gives you elemental protection.
The sets only made by the Sancutary Alchemey Machine.
Now this should be said, but some of these sets cannot be made without beating a SL, which is short for shadow lair. The shadow lair is only accessed by those who are in Tier 3. There is a alchemey machine in the sancutary which can craft these sets, these sets can only be made there. Good luck =3

Sets
- The Almirian set (The Colbat sets)
- The Arcane Salamander set (The Chroma sets)
- The Ice Queen Set (The Jelly sets)
- The Snarbolax set (The Wolver sets)
- The Mercurial Demo set (The Demo sets)
- The Heavenly Iron set (The Angelic sets)
Before you comment.
You're probably going to go into hater mode because you can just find this stuff out in game. I made this so I can show the people of SK which sets are the most effective.
I also made this guide because I needed to know which armor set is the best. Not saying what it is, but this guide can help you decide which armor you will buy/get. Especially for beginners.

This took quite some time, so give me some credit for effort.

Until my next guide... Have a good day and I hope my guide help's you.

@exepire

I'd prefer to not opiniate which armors are the best, since all of them have their advantages.

Also, if memory serves me right, the Black Kat armor wasn't released by the time I made this guide. So I wouldn't know much about that set (I don't update my guides anymore, I haven't played SK in forever to do so).

Oh yeah, now I see the ones from the SL, my bad

But thanks for taking the suggestions.

I'm trying to focus on just armor sets, not seperate pieces of armor. I did consult adding the seerus mask and vitasuits, but they are either just helmets or body armors. Not to say they aren't useful, but they aren't armor sets.

I've actually included all of the armor sets from the shadow lair, it's in the second last section before the "Before you comment" section. The brackets show where they are on the guide, so those are covered. As for the Kat suits, I'll add them to the guide soon. Just give me some time.

I really do appreciate your feedback and suggestions, I want this guide to be as informative as possible.
Nan Mar 17, 2015 @ 3:28pm
It'd be nice if you also added the gear that isn't part of a set, like the vitasuits, silvermail, seerus mask, to name some...

I also see that you haven't included the Kat sets, or haven't included any information on the ones from the Shadow Lairs.

I understand how much time and effort it takes to make a guide, so I'm not complaining, it's pretty well done, but if you want to expand on it these were some suggestions.
Protocol27  [author] Mar 17, 2015 @ 1:52pm
You mean the Vitasuit, right? The Vitasuit isn't a armor set, it's just a piece of armor.

Also, I clearly stated in the rules on the introduction that I wouldn't include the Proto set because we all know what that is.
