Falkland Islands Exlcusion Enforcement

Description
May 1982;

The British have suffered a couple of major defeats in their conflict with Argentina over the Falkland Islands. ARA General Belgrano was able to slip past the HMS Conqueror and sink the HMS Hermes with it's guns. Additionally, Argentinian Aircraft were able to fire on and sink the HMS Sheffield and HMS Glasgow.
As a result of these losses, the United Kingdom was forced to appeal to their allies and the United Nations to assist them in this conflict. Thatcher's good friend, American President Ronald Reagan, was able to convince congress to allow him to deploy a part of the US Navy to establish an exclusion and no-fly zone around the Falkland Islands. All ships or aircraft operating inside the exclusion zone are to be declared hostile. Royal Navy ships have agreed to anchor in or around the Falkland Islands for the duration of the USN's stay so as to not violate the exclusion zone and be subject to attack.
For this operation, the USN has rushed the USS America through it's repair period and deployed it to the region. Additionally, the USS Iowa was rushed through it's return-to-service shakedown after being in-reserve for 24 years and has also been deployed to the islands to potentially provide gunfire support with it's massive 16" guns. This marks the first deployment of a Battleship to a conflict area since New Jersey went to vietnam in 1968 and since the 4 Iowas went to Korea in 1951.
The Argentinian government has stated that since the islands are their terratory, they can move through it as they please, and they will fire on any ships or aircraft preventing them from doing so.

A good wee scenario. Minor losses for me but major losses for Argentina. One thing I noticed was at Rio Grande airbase there are 3* G.222 that are sitting with no loadout or mission. Possibly something got lost on the port across from CMANO to CMO.

The Argentinian air strikes never launched either but that could just be down to the fact that they never spotted the America or Iowa groups. I don't think they would have been able to damage the groups either.

Have you considered uploading it to the Matrix games forum for others who don't use Steam to get missions to have a go?

Overall great job and will have another blast at it soon.

As to the lack of scoring I understand your philosophy, I'm calling it a win for myself based on my losses vs theirs and the clock running out.

Many thanks

No problem on that. Will do keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback;

Ultimately, I made these scenarios back in CMANO 1 and have directly ported over to CMO so some issues stem from the porting.

As for scoring, my philosophy is that it is up to you the player to determine how well or poorly you did based on your kills and losses; the basic numeric tally that comprises the scoring system is in my opinion insufficient to adequately and correctly determine the realistic outcome of these missions.

Hope you continue to have fun running my missions, and as always, don't hesitate to provide feedback, war stories, and all other general comments!

Overall the scenario went off with out any issues. The only comment I would have is at the end for the summary and scoring it was all blank.
