Scene it? (Tech Demo)

Description
Warning: This is a very large workshop upload (300-500 MB.) Slow or interrupted connections will make it impossible to play the game. Make sure you have enough disk space before playing the game. This game is no where near feature complete and has many issues.

Consider this a tech demo.

Scene it! for Tabletop Simulator!
The full Scene It! experience for Tabletop Simulator! All the clips and gameplay from the original game ported into Tabletop Simulator! Adjusted for minimal latency and no buffering, you can now experience Scene It the way it was meant to.

Demo / Development notes
The demo has no trivia cards or buzz cards. Only All Play, How to Play are available for this demo. There will be glitches and bugs that may make certain features unavailable.

If you wish to report any issues, please do so in the comments.

2021 FAQ
I have footage of X game can I put it in?
No, see below.

Can I put my own content in? How can I recreate this myself?
Unless you have some serious knowledge with Unity, compression and scripting, the details are too long, this is fairly complex and abuses a lot of features in TTS it shouldn't be. I'd only consider helping / writing a tutorial if you had a genuine interest and were very capable at TTS with asset bundles.

Will you be finishing this?
No. It's too tedious to get the content in. If I were to do it, I would remake it from scratch. I DID say this was a tech demo!

Will you continue supporting this?
I will continue to fix minor bugs and issues this mod may have, so if you encounter any (especially with new TTS updates) you can continue reporting them in the comments.

Why is this so huge? Why not just stream the video?
Scene it is a timer-based game. As a result, all players must be in sync to play movies. This game gets around it by having everything already downloaded. This allows players to remain perfectly in sync but causes a larger download size.

Excellent! Thank you! I figure the resolution can probably be pretty low, so I can probably get some solid compression on it. I know back when I was initially testing this out with MP4s before knowing that it didn't work cross platform that I was able to get it down to like 54MB or something

@MasterCylinder
Yes. I recommend playing with encoder settings to get the smallest file possible, there are plenty of smaller tricks you can do to make it less big.

Hey there! Long shot seeing how this is a few years old now, but I've made some old VHS board games on TTS and I wouldn't mind being able to actually make the videos an asset bundle. In my case it's way simpler because it's just one interrupted video and not a whole DVD with menus and randomization. So I was wondering if you could tell me the specs of the video file. Is it anything more special than needing to be a webm?

@Skeeveotron 3000 I wish I knew how to do this efficiently. I would like an interactive video screen with different rules and explanations for my mod here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1815852657

This would be the best way to get people to understand my game that isn't a straight replication of a board game outside of TTS and I could easily create the videos and audio.

@Thesentrygamer
The source code is in the save itself, I cannot upload the source files as they are 100s of GB in a unity project. Unfortunately in this case they are better off recreating based on the source code.

Skeev, since you have decided on not finishing this, would you kindly upload the source code for the assetbundle so that it can be finished/recreated on a massive scale with the other scene it?(TM)s?

super disappointing that the games cards and dice won't be added, this has a lot of potential and I'd love to play it with friends but I guess it just wasn't meant to be... still a super cool tech demo

I'm guessing you reached your bandwidth for the Dropbox link?Because it stopped working just a minute ago for me for some Scene it 3D unit asset.

I love your demo, but I see there hasn't been any updates in the past year. Are you still planning on expanding the game and creating the other versions?
