Kitson 0-4-0 'Lively Polly'

Opis
The smallest of the small.
One tiny boi.
Mini steamy.

This is a Kitson 0-4-0, like the kind used on industrial and small works freight in the late 19th Century until the mid 20th. Its an obscure engine with little to no use in a game like Transport Fever, that even less people will actually know about.

It's also been my profile pic on Twitter for ages.

This specific example, known as Lively Polly, was a small well tank that worked on the Liverpool Overhead railway, pulling small works trains around.

Stats:
Roughly the same as the Borsig. It's probably weaker actually... You don't need to know them because everyone just goes off the power rating anyway. (I'd say 5 freight wagons tops)

Things that are inaccurate with my model:
Livery:
I do not know the original livery and there's not a lot of source material so I used my LNWR texture from my other mods. The LNWR could very well have owned this engine at some point, but it is entirely recolourable so its not too bad.

Frames:
The original engine was double framed around the wheels, using a crank axle on the outside. This was a pain in the butt to model so it hasn't got that.

Cab:
I lifted the cab straight from the Prussian T3 because it worked. I am not sorry.

Lovely little machine.
If you like smol engines, I'd recommend taking a look at Wantage Railway's "Jane" locomotive, otherwise known as "Shannon." She was built in 1857, but saw use as late as 1965, while still in fairly original condition.

I have it pulling some coal wagons around my industrial area just for show. It adds a lot to the feel of the area. Thank you for making this :)

A quirky little loco, but will fit well as a yard engine, just to build trains etc. I have always wanted a little shunting loco a bit like this, a Ruston Hornsby 48 is certainly on my wishlist.

thanks for a great mod!

@SteveM4 I'm not a big train geek but I do love trains (and planes) in a general sense. You may feel that it has little to no use in game but I believe it was still well worth creating the mod - it made me curious enough to find articles on the net about the Kitson 0-4-0.
So what you've done is informed me about an engine I never knew about
:steamhappy:

this is the cutest locomotive ive ever seen and after playing with it (editing the file so its available at 1850) i can safely say that this tiny boi has a heart within it that makes its chuff sound like an engine 3 times its size and for an engine its size can easily pull a rake of 8 coaches or 6 wagons along the lines when used on Colonel Failures peninsula map! this truly is a magnificent mod worthy of anyones game. also i set it to 1850 because not only is it such a cute and beautiful loco i planned on using it to earn an achievement for keeping a loco running from 1850 to 2000 lol

Very nice. Looks also a little bit like a bavarian D VI, but they were painted green ;)

Cute little loco. I think she'll do perfectly as a dock tank engine.
