Bungie.net LFG Usage For New Light Players (UPDATED!)

This will show you how to not waste anyone's time on the LFG and to get group members faster (due to less frustration when joining).

NOTE: I am not Bungie staff, I am just trying to educate people on how to correctly use the LFG due to my own personal experiences.
NOTE 2: This is for the Bungie LFG, though i do list others, it is ONLY for the Bungie LFG.

Key Terms And Raid Encounter List

• KWTD: Know What To Do, self explanatory
  
• Cheese: Shortcut or cheat to make the encounter go by faster
  
• CP: Checkpoint

Making Your Post

When making an LFG post:

• Make sure to put all requirements in the title, there is no description, a proper title in the raid section would look like: GoS Teaching Fresh Mic Needed (950+).
  
• If you are using a cross save account, make sure it is using the correct platform.
  
• Be sure to put it in the right section, such as: Raid, Crucible, Nightfall, etc.
  
• You should have the correct number of slots to join.
  
• If scheduling a fireteam, click the box and enter the correct time for the activity.
  
• If you have a microphone, click the box.
  
• Select the correct language.
  

Before Posting (IMPORTANT)

Before posting LFG request, set your fireteam privacy to public, this can be done by:

• Opening directory by pressing tab and clicking on ROSTER.
  
  
• Clicking on the Fireteam button, it may say Public, Clan and Friends, Friends, Invite, or Closed.
  
• Click on Public.
  

You can now post your request on the LFG!

It is very nice though because i can use the steam overlay for bungie.net , it doesnt bother me too much

yeah i can understand if they can't implement matchmaking for raids,
but atleast there's should be a recruit channel, using third party web or app for lfg is such a hassle

That would be nice, but matchmaking in raids would probably ruin raiding for many new players. When matchmaking, there isnt any control and you will usually get worse players. When using an lfg you usually get better/more dedicated teams because they go out of their way to find players. I believe that a recruit channel would be cool, but I dont really know.

like seriously this lack of matchmaking is what kills me for playing this game,
at least this game has to have some sort of recruit channel just like in Warframe
