Resolution 1737, 2007

United Nations Security Council Resolution 1737, adopted in December, 2006, charged member nations with working to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
This scenario assumes that Iran was not in any way discouraged by this resolution. In fact, it assumes that within weeks of the resolution being passed it was clear that Iran had actually accelerated its efforts to purchase the equipment and materials necessary to develop its own nuclear weapons.
