Craft the Ultimate Banger! (RCAD) Ver. 5 (MAJOR OVERHAUL)

The one and only step-by-step illustrated guide to creating your very own official Room Clearing Assistance Device or RCAD. By now the device itself has been developed beyond the purpose that the name describes, but "RCAD" has a nice ring to it so i'll keep the name unless someone suggests a better one.

Introduction

The Mark V Room Clearing Assistance Device has been redesigned for comfort and utility. In other words, it is easier to make and is better at blowing up sosigs. The ingredients for this latest version have been carefully selected to provide high explosive yield and fragmentation density, so it can reliably clear an area of the even most resistant targets (tested on Bone-ers). Unnecessary ingredients have been removed and the crafting process has been simplified. Additionally, the RCAD is now effective when detonated in larger and more open areas, even outdoors, and can be airbursted to gain additional range.

Crafting

Step 1:

Gather ingredients. You will need:

• 1x Bucket
  
• 1x Radio (recommended but other detonation methods can be used)
  
• 1x Foregrip or rail adapter (tiny rail axis shift used)
  
• 6x .45 ACP Oversize MIRV rounds
  
• 4x CyberPistol magazines with 10x 10mm DSM Prox-Mine rounds each
  
• 10x NTW-20 magazines with 3x 20mm HE rounds each

Step 2:

Stack six of the ten NTW-20 magazines on one side of the crafting box like in the image above.

Step 3:

Fill the bucket with the remaining four NTW-20 magazines, the four CyberPistol magazines, and top it off with your foregrip or rail adapter.

Step 4:

Carefully place the filled bucket inside the crafting box next to the stack of magazines. Make sure it is placed as far back as possible to make room for the final step.

Step 5:

Place the six MIRV rounds in front and slip the radio in on top of the bucket. Close the door and press the green button.

Usage

The RCAD is still most effective when used in closed spaces, detonated when stuck to a wall or ceiling. Below are screenshots from a couple tests to showcase the improved explosive payload and fragmentation density of this latest version.

As stated previously, the RCAD is now effective outdoors, especially when airbursted.

ADDENDUM:
Since bangers can now be spawnlocked, the RCAD and the WP banger (link at the top of this guide) can now be effectively utilized in combat. This has also allowed for field testing, which has revealed some useful insights. First of all, both the RCAD and WP banger incapacitate sosigs more effectively in closed spaces, but can be used outdoors especially when launched with the graviton beamer and airbursted. In this situation, the WP banger seems slightly more effective than the current recipe for the RCAD. When airbursted the RCAD acts much like a cluster bomb which can be detonated at higher altitudes for a larger but less dense spread of bomblets. If you wish to modify the RCAD for this role, I would add more Cyberpistol magazines with prox-mines. The default recipe has 40 prox-mine bomblets and each magazine would add 10 more. Keep in mind that these bomblets are very performance intensive, so you will probably want to remove some of the other ingredients to compensate, though this may come at the cost of range and armor piercing capabilities. Finally, a warning to always take cover before detonating the banger. Its a pretty big boom.

i'd like to note that the RCAD commits at least 2 war crimes: cluster munitions, more specifically, allowing parts of the munition to fail to detonate, and looking like a normal, household object, a bucket in this case
