Parclo A4 with right-turn slip lanes

Parclo A4:
Partial Cloverleaf in which the freeway's carriageways have ramps ahead (A) of the bridge and ramps are present in all 4 quadrants of the interchange.

Advantages:
  • Great for situations where more traffic wants to leave the main road to join the freeway
  • Circular ramps allow traffic to freely enter the freeway without having to make left-turns against opposing traffic
  • Requires less land to build than a full cloverleaf interchange (aka "full clover")

Disadvantages:
  • Requires more land to build than a standard diamond interchange
  • Circular ramps are far less efficient than parabolic ramps as the paths are less direct
  • The smaller the circle, the tighter the turn, and the more vehicles must slow down
  • Circular ramps are less safe due to poor angle of visibility upon merging and slower freeway entry speeds make merging more dangerous

This Asset:
  • All endpoints are street-level elevation.
  • Freeway carriageway spacing is 32 (for this of you using the Parallel Road Tool mod and compatible with most of my other interchanges.
  • Freeway has been optimized for 'lane mathematics' but main road may need some adjustment depending on traffic levels.
