Saudia Airlines Flight 763 & Kazakhstan Airlines Flight 1907 Crash Animation

On November 12, 1996, Saudi Airlines Flight 763. a Boeing 747-100 was a flight that had just taken off from Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi and was heading to Dhahran in Saudi Arabia carrying a total of 312 people on board. Also, coming in to land is Kazakhstan Airlines Flight 1907, an Ilyushin Il-76TD after a flight from Shymkent in Kazakhstan carrying 37 people.

The Crash:
The Kazakhstan Airlines flight was directed to descend to 15,000 feet and the Saudi flight was told to climb to 14,000. The Saudi
aircraft leveled off at this altitude. However, the Kazakhstan flight kept descending past 15,000 feet. This was mostly likely because the Kazakh pilots didn't understand English well so they didn't comprehend the instructions told by ATC Then, both planes collided in mid-air. The Kazakhstan aircraft's tail ripped through the Saudi aircraft's right wing. The crippled 747 quickly lost control and went into a rapidly descending spiral with fire trailing from the wing. The Saudi flight broke up before impacting into the ground. The Ilyushin stayed together but went into an uncontrolled descent and eventually crashing into a field. Shortly after the crash, there were six survivors from both aircraft, but they all died. All 349 people on both planes perished, making it the worst mid-air collision and the worst crash with no survivors.
