First Things First
For those of you that are using the vanilla version of the game, you must download the Unity Asset Bundle Extractor. Once that is done, you will need to use the extractor to open a file called resources.assets located in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Motorsport Manager\MM_Data on the PC.

Also note that this just covers the text info. You will need to add team logos or the game won't load.
Adding logos needs it's own guide as it is it's own involved process.
The Needed Files
Once you open resources.assets, you need to find certain text asset files. Once you select them, you need to click the plugin button and export to .txt

Now for the files:
Teams
Drivers
Chairman
Assistants
Engineers
Mechanics
Scouts
Championships
HQ
Team Colours
Team Principals
Chassis

For reference:
Part Suppliers

Now to make things easy, you should then import these files as comma separated files (csv) into a spreadsheet (i.e. Excel or Sheets)
Teams
This is where it starts, you need to add 2 teams to the bottom of the list

Every column needs a value, and you would be fine with a copy paste job from one of the teams above

Note that the first team in the WMC is on row 2 with the rest of the WMC filling in rows 3-11 with their team number referencing their row (teams 2-11)

Keep track of the row numbers you use to add your teams in at the bottom of the list, do NOT insert them in as teams 12 & 13 or you will make a lot more work for yourself.

It has been pointed out to me that the number in the color ID column should line up with the row in the team colour file
Drivers
Every team needs some drivers, so now you need to come up with 3 drivers to add to each team.
There is a lot to add here and I have highlighted a few different drivers to show not every column needs to be filled in, particularly with regards to the driver history.
Note that while team number is required, the car column is reserved only for the endurance teams
The Staff
So now that you have a team name and team number, and some drivers, you need to fill in the staff
That means you need to add Chairmen, Assistants, Principals, Engineers, Mechanics and Scouts.
Championships
This is where you need to add your team numbers you have created to the championship

The HQ
Now that you have a team with drivers, staff, and a series to run in, you need some buildings

Feel free to be as creative as you like here
Add a Little Colour
You should add team colors for each team. Since these are in hex, feel free to just copy from 2 teams and just tweak as needed. Keep in mind that the row you use in this file should match the color ID in the teams file
Finally the Car
So this is where you need the part suppliers file for reference.

This will allow you to fill in the required columns for your teams in chassis

Wrap it up
So now you have probably spent the better part of 2 hours tweaking the 12 files needed to add the extra teams to the game.

You need to take the 12 spreadsheets and export them as csv files to an easy to access location on your hard drive (a folder on the desktop perhaps?)

You then need to open those csv files with notepad, or preferably, notepad++ and save the files as .txt files. The file names need to be an exact match to what you saw in the asset bundle extractor ( Drivers.txt, Championships.txt, Mechanics.txt, etc)

You then need to import the new .txt files back into resources.assets using the plugin button. The extractor will then ask you to save, save the file to the same folder as your new .txt files. Now go back to the SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Motorsport Manager\MM_Data folder and RENAME resources.assets to something like resources_ORIG.assets. Next, drop your new version of resources.assets in the same MM_Data folder and start up Motorsport Manager. You will have to start a new career for these changes to work. If all goes well, you should see 12 teams to pick from in the WMC. If the game crashes, something has gone wrong in the editing and recompiling of the resources.assets file. If you used the spreadsheet method for editing, it should eliminate errors of adding too many or too few commas or having data in the wrong area.

Last step...importing. My plugin button doesn't do anything. I'm simply trying to edit a drivers.txt file and get it back into the assets file. Any help?
