How to play as Sniper - Basics
By icbn kasg and 1 collaborators
Sometimes you just feel like killing some medics from long range, but do you not know what to do or what the sniper is capable of?
Well, looks like you typed in the right thing!

Let's get started, mate.

(Note that this will be a very short tutorial since sniper is pretty easy to learn the basics of.)

Basically; sniper
You might seem it's obvious what the sniper can do, but remember, the TF2 sniper isn't just your ordinary cheeky sniper; this one can kill elephants with a single shot.

- If you aim down sight, you notice a small bar fill up, if this fills up completely you do the maximum amount of damage, which can do TONS of damage.
- The sniper is able to kill heavies completely overhealed by the stock medigun, quick fix, or kritzkrieg with a fully charged headshot.
- A sniper doesn't need to headshot when the bar is completely filled up, since a fully charged sniper rifle does around 150 damage on a fully charged bodyshot.
- A sniper in a team where I am in (Steel Highlander) is able to kill half a team almost instantly if they're not paying attention.
- Snipers can still be devastating if you're not that good, kill a medic which has full übercharge might give your team the edge and win.
- Snipers are also devastating against engineers (trust me, I know >.< ), since they can just headshot the engineer and then easily destroy all of his buildings, since engineers are really bad against snipers from far range.

Sniper Rifle.
The sniper's devastating force of destruction.
This is the weapon which has crushed dreams, übers, buildings, but mostly dreams.

- This destructive tool will kill alot of enemies in your career.
- Always aim for the head, since bullets in TF2 arrive instantly at their target and bullets dont fall down because of gravity, don't give a single ♥♥♥ about real life logic, this is Team Fortress 2.
- You dont have to get a headshot though, all classes who have under 150 HP can get bodyshotted too, just be sure that its fully charged before you try.
- When enemies come to close, switch to the SMG, or try to noscope them for 50 damage. If your aim is good enough, this is more effective than the SMG.
- Always try to jump after shooting at an enemy, since this will make it harder for the enemy to counter your shot and makes the reloading initiate earlier than it would normally.
- Don't stay in-scope for longer than a minute, since you can't see everything through the scope and will probably be killed by someone you can't see through scope.

Note: DON'T EVER STAND BACK AT SPAWN ALL THE TIME EXCEPT WHEN THE CAP IS THERE AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY GET 3 OR MORE KILLS WITHIN A MINUTE, IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE; MOVE UP WITH YOUR TEAM, BUT DONT GET TOO CLOSE.

''Ace reflexes, you bomb-chuckin' waste of good scotch!'' - Sniper after killing 2 demomen with the sniper rifle.
SMG
Should there really be a tutorial about this?
No.

One note though: DON'T USE THIS AS A PRIMARY, IT ONLY DOES AROUND 10 DAMAGE PER SHOT, WHICH IS NOTHING COMPARED TO YOUR SNIPER.
Kukri.
No tutorial needed for this.
Not even notes.

If you literally learnt nothing about this tutorial, this is for you.

You forgot to say that sniper has a 2 meters long arm, which makes the kukri range longer, efficient especially against spies.
