The Warehouse - A.K.A. the house full of wares!

Anyway...the warehouse is the second map I've developed. It's a survival map, inside what's basically a huge open building with a very cluttered floor. Also there's zombies in it. But you know, what else do you expect?

Special Features:

1. I experimented with weapon placement in this map, so instead of a few stacks of 5 weapons there's a lot of single weapons laying around. This makes for more interesting gameplay with more weapon swapping. In addition, this means not everyone will have the exact same weapon, which leads to more diverse and well rounded teams.

2. The tall ladders are included mostly as a homage to the original design of this map (see below). They're relatively easy to hold off zombies from if you're on top, but the zombies can also knock you off causing you to fall to your death. My advice? Get down to the main floor as fast as possible!


The map is based on a level designed for a Minecraft mini-game by myself and a few friends. I figured I'd give it the L4D2 treatment. It took just over 2 days to model the whole thing, then the remainder of the development time was spent placing the massive amount of boxes and crates throughout the level.
