im sorry, you used the term loading screen hangs so i assumed..

"hangs" = slower than average loading time while loading this mod.

that said, it's incredibly light. it literally does nothing but add a map marker and travel point. just be careful when you use it during the quests involving Jorrvaskr, (there are times you aren't supposed to be able to go there), doing so may cause issues or crashes.

my advice is to make a backup save (which you should be doing anyway when trying new mods), and then just try it and see what happens.

Probably. I've never returned to the project. I'd have to fix it so that it disables the marker if certain quests are active. i think that is the cause of the hangs. honestly not sure. i haven't played skyrim for a long time, so i never bothered to fix this. i left it up in case people dont really care and still wanted to try to use it. didnt realize people were actually using this.

what is the name of the mod you use for the roads?

It seems that this mod may be causing loading screen hangs when fast traveling anywhere in Whiterun. I THINK it might be a load order issue. Testing this.
