How to Unlock Skills 2.0 - Survivor Challenges

I kept forgetting what the challenges were to unlock the new skills for each Survivor, so I made this handy list for myself.

Survivor Challenges

Hey I haven't updated this list in a while and there have been a few updates.

I will probably never update this!

Let me know in the comments if there is any out of date info and I will fix!

All Survivors*

• Mastery - Obliterate yourself at the Obelisk on Monsoon
  
  • Unlocks alternate skin
    
  • *Even the Engineer!!! He's got a skin now!
    

Commando

• Rolling Thunder - Land the killing blow on an Overloading Worm.
  
  • Shrine of the Mountain can help spawn one sooner.
    
• Incorruptible - Clear 20 stages in a single run without picking up any Lunar Items.
  
  • Lunar Coins do NOT interfere with this challenge. Pick them up!
    

MUL-T

• Gotcha! - Land the killing blow on an Imp Overlord with the Preon Accumulator.
  
• Pest Control - Defeat two Beetle Queens without leaving the teleporter zone.

Huntress

• One-Shot, One Kill - Collect and carry 12 Crowbars at once.
  
• Piercing Wind - Start and finish Rallypoint Delta without falling below 100% health.
  
  • Shields (from Personal Shield Generator or Transcendence) count as health, so shields will not help you. Barriers (from Topaz Brooch or Aegis) do NOT count as health so can be helpful.
    
  • The 50% total health reduction from Shaped Glass does NOT interfere with this challenge.
    
  • You can play multiplayer and hide while a friend beats the stage for you.
    

Engineer

• Better With Friends - Recruit 12 minions at one time.
  
  • Your own turrets count towards the total.
    
  • The 4 drones you call in with The Back-up count towards the total as well. Fuel cells are helpful.
• 100% Calculated - Defeat the teleporter boss in less than 5 seconds after it spawns.

Artificer

• Orbital Bombardment - Kill 15 enemies before touching the ground.
  
• Massacre - Perform a multikill of 20 enemies.
  
  • I had a tough time with this one. Finally unlocked it when I got late into a run and used Snapfreeze on a big pile of enemies.
• Chunked! - Fully defeat the teleporter boss in a one-second burst of damage.

Mercenary

• Demon of the Skies - Don't touch the ground for 30 seconds
  
  • Unlocks Rising Thunder
    
  • It is possible to climb to the top of Distant Roost, jump off and repeated use all three of your abilities to stay afloat for long enough.
    
  • This same method is even easier on A Moment, Fractured.
• Ethereal - Complete a Prismatic Trial without falling below 100% health.
  
  • Unlocks Slicing Winds
    
  • Again, shields count as health, and won't help you here. Barriers do NOT count as health so can be helpful.
    
  • The 50% total health reduction from Shaped Glass does NOT interfere with this challenge.
    
  • I still haven't unlocked this one :(

Rex

• Dunked - Kill a Clay Dunestrider on Abandoned Aqueduct by throwing it into a pit.
  
  • Unlocks Bramble Volley
    
• Bushwhacked - Complete an entire teleporter event while under 50% health.
  
  • Unlocks DIRECTIVE: Drill
    
  • Grabbing 2 Shaped Glass to bring your total health down to 25% and not worrying about your health does not appear to work. You must keep your health below 50% of whatever your TOTAL health is, which includes shields but not barriers.
    

Loader

• Swing By - Reach and proceed through the Celestial Portal in 25 minutes or less.
  
  • Unlocks Spiked Fist
    
• Earthshatter - Land a Charged Gauntlet hit at 300mph or higher.
  
  • Unlocks Thunder Gauntlet
    

Acrid

• Pandemic - Inflict Poison 1000 total times.
  
  • Unlocks Frenzied Leap
    

Bandit

"Overloading Worm is guaranteed to spawn at the beginning of the twelfth stage of a run on any difficulty."
I don't think this was ever true, and it certainly isn't true now.

What a pointless "guide." All of this information is directly available in the game. This could have been useful, had it listed what the unlocked skills did. But, alas, it is worthless. 0/10
