Quake - Codes & Secrets

This guide contains Codes & Secrets for Quake.

For Single Player use only.

1. Cheat Codes

= Unable to go up steps, 1 = Able to go up steps: sv_nostep #
All ammo = give ammo
All items = give all
All solid surfaces are bright (cancelled by r_fullbright 0) = r_fullbright 1
All weapons = give weapons
All Weapons/Items = impulse 9
Amount of friction when moving = sv_friction #
Armour shard = give armor shard
Backward movement speed = cl_backspeed #
Begin again on current map with original health, weapons, ammo, etc = kill
Blue key = give blue key
Body armour = give bodyarmor
Body armour = give armor
Combat armour = give combat armor
Commander's head = give commander's head
Enemies Can't See You = notarget
Fly Mode = fly
Forward movement speed = cl_forwardspeed #
gives 1 rune (do it 4 times for all) = impulse 11
Gives charge amount of entered # (0 to 255) = give C #
Gives health amount of entered # (0 to 32767) = give H #
Gives nail amount of entered # (0 to 255) = give N #
Gives rocket amount of entered # (0 to 255) = give R #
Gives shell amount of entered # (0 to 255) = give S #
Gives weapon to entered # (1 to 8:1=Axe, 2=Shotgun, 3=Super Shotgun, 4=Nailgun, 5=Super Nailgun, 6=Grenade Launcher, 7=Rocket Launcher, 8=Thunderbolt) = give #
God Mode = god
Health = givehealth
How much the screen will angle when strafing = cl_rollangle #
Invulnerability = give invulnerability
Maximum speed when moving = sv_maxspeed #
No Clip (go through walls) = noclip
Power cube = give power cube
Power shield = give power shield
quad damage mode = impulse 255 or impulse -1
Red key = give red key
Security pass = give security pass
Set skill to # (# is 0 to 3: 0=Easy, 1=Normal, 2=Hard, 3=Nightmare) = skill #
Sets the gravity to # = sv_gravity #
Slugs = give slugs
Strafing movement speed = cl_sidespeed #
Time it takes to stop moving = sv_stopspeed #

2. Access any level

Open the console by pressing the key just left of the ''1'' button on the keyboard; then type ''map x'', where x is any of the following:

start - the introduction level, in which you select difficulty and which episode
e1m1 - The Slipgate Complex
e1m2 - Castle of the Damned
e1m3 - The Necropolis
e1m4 - The Grisly Grotto
e1m5 - Gloom Keep
e1m6 - The Door to Chthon
e1m7 - The House of Chthon
e1m8 - Ziggurat Vertigo (a hidden level)
e2m1 - The Installation
e2m2 - The Ogre Citadel
e2m3 - The Crypt of Decay
e2m4 - The Ebon Fortress
e2m5 - The Wizard's Manse
e2m6 - The Dismal Oubliette
e2m7 - The Underearth (a hidden level)
e3m1 - Termination Central
e3m2 - The Vaults of Zin
e3m3 - The Tomb of Terror
e3m4 - Satan's Dark Delight
e3m5 - The Wind Tunnels
e3m6 - Chambers of Torment
e3m7 - The Haunted Halls (a hidden level)
e4m1 - The Sewage System

For example, type ''map e1m2'' to access the ''Castle of the Damned''.

3. Nightmare Difficulty

Go to the Episode 4 entrance and jump into the water. Now backup against the wall like you were going to go back the other way. Now stay against the wall and allow yourself to fall down. You should land on a big piece of wood. Walk along the left side to find another entrance that leads a to gate that's takes you to Nightmare Difficulty.

How do I enable cheats

If the Cheats Tab was patched in then enabling them, like Doom 1-2 Classic could disable achievements.

Doesnt this effect achievements? i dont want to use any of these if it ruins achievements, :S i sound like a SIMP, lol.

but anyways, i am just looking for all secret rooms on the map, so i keep searching, yeah? lol
