Step 1 - Setting up your CSGO config
First things first. You can adjust your config with the following Variables, which I also use:
I will not explain every single variable, if you want to know every single variable please google them.

// SOUND

snd_headphone_pan_exponent "2"
snd_headphone_pan_radial_weight "2"
snd_rear_headphone_position "90"
snd_front_headphone_position "90"
snd_rear_speaker_scale "1"
snd_duckerattacktime "0.5"
snd_duckerreleasetime "2.5"
snd_duckerthreshold "0.15"
snd_ducking_off "1"
snd_ducktovolume "0.55"
snd_legacy_surround "0"
snd_mixahead "0.06"
snd_musicvolume "0"
snd_mute_losefocus "1"
snd_pitchquality "0"
windows_speaker_config "1"

I also Recommend a good Stereo Headset. But i guess people know this when buying an expensive Soundcard like the PHOEBUS. Just sayin. I use the SENNHEISER PC360. It is also not cheap but on long term it pays to have a solid headset.
Step 2 - The Driver and Settings
Make sure you have the latest Phoebus Driver Installed. If not you can get the driver here[www.asus.com]:

Next open the Main Interface.
Right Click on Headphones

and Select the highest Sample Rates which are:

192 KHz
24 Bits

You also can change the input gain which depends on your headphone Impendance.

Once you adjusted these settings, open the Dolby Home Theater:

What i just did is to pitch the volume up of the higher frequences. This is that you are able to hear footsteps and gunsounds of your enemy much better.
Thats about it, it first sounds a bit strange but once you get used to it you will profit.

This Video can help you analyze the spectrum of CSGO, you will see i pitched up the relevant vaules.

Step 3 - Microphone
This section shows, how i set up my microphone.

First Open ASUS Phoebus Software.
Right Click on Microphone.

First Setting is the Microphone Volume (Volume Control). Set this to the highest.

Second Setting is the Microphone Sample Rate. I use the highest Sample Rate.

Third Setting is the Microphone Boost. I use Microphone Boost on 20.

Now make sure you have the right values. Open Your TS3 Client and go to Settings -> Options.

Go to Section "Record" and click on "Start Test". Test your settings with some test sentences in a more louder and in a lower voice. Also make sure your breathing will not be broadcasted. As you can see I set my TS3 Voice Activation Value at +10db.

Conclusion
1. Use a solid headset like the Sennheiser PC360
2. Install the latest drivers for the Phoebus
3. Set up your CSGO config
4. Tweak your PHOEBUS Software

I am sorry if some Images are missing, but Steam wont let me Upload.

Unknown command: windows_speaker_config
Unknown command: snd_pitchquality

Hey, could you tell me how to set the SteelSeries Engine settings for my headset SteelSeries Siberia V2 Frost Blue ? :csgoct:

Sound effects are sampled at 44.1, indeed. Nevertheless i recommend using a higher sampling rate for music e.g.

There's no point in using 192 KHz since CS:GO's sound effects are sampled at 44.1

Thanks, really helped. i am using astro a40s with mixamp so i have to use DDL with optical instead of 192KHz. Well i don't have to use the mixamp, but my mic sound horrible without it for some reason.
