How To Hitman - Unlocking Jack Of All Trades.

This guide has been verified and checked by Pedobear...this message is Pedobear approved. A guide to meeting the hidden criteria's needed to unlock the playstyles required for the Jack Of All Trade achievement.

Welcome to Playstyles. "jack-off" all trade achievement hunt.

Introduction
A rewarding little niche feature of the hitman:absolution game is the ability to unlock "playstyle" kills. attacking targets and levels with a theme or the same weapon repeatedly within the same level with or without been noticed.

Most of these Playstyles need to be in stealth or undetected mode to unlock them. aside from tank and the bank robber ones which are a little more relaxed about that requirement. As long as you meet the kill requirement and dont raise any alarms you should accomplish the playstyle criteria. kills on both enemy guards and civilians count towards your playstyle. so beating up that helpless lady with your bare hands is much easier than fighting the elite trained and armed mercenary...but they both count towards the "champion" playstyle unlock...regardless...so use civilians to your advantage when you can!

to view those you have unlocked simply select the absolution menu, then go to unlocks and check at playstyles. there's 20 in total and the all hidden until you unlock them. to help you unlock them they have given you a cryptic little clue as to how you should play. this guide saves you working it out...as I already have!!!!

(note:dont do any of these playstyles in the tutorial (a personal contract) as it may mean your achivement wont unlock when you unlock all 20 playstyles...few reports of it causing glitches on steam and console versions so to be safe...dont do any playstyles in the tutorial!)

Playstyles and their cryptic clues, part 1.

Needle Pumper
This object is usually employed to relieve pain. In the hands of Agent 47 however, it tends to achieve quite the opposite effect.

Use a syringe to kill 5 NPCs. = this can be done by using the syringe for a lethal throw or for melee strikes and silent kills from behind. cuation: leaves pools of blood.

Recommended level = Rosewood - Orphanage Halls


Undertaker
It is one thing to deal with your target, and another to cover your tracks. Thoroughness is the hallmark of a professional.

Hide 5 bodies. = Hide five pacified bodies in containers. subdued or dead bodies count but they must be hidden. and you must remain undetected.

Recommended Levels = Hunter and Hunted - Chinese New Year, Attack of the Saints - Cornfield


Piano Man
In a world of fighter drones and long distance weaponry, this deadly tool is simple, silent, and extremely hands-on. Good to see someone uphold the good old ways.

Use a garrote to kill 5 NPCs. = You need kills with the fibre wire. Load up any level where you have your fibre wire The King of Chinatown or Terminus are good, and kill as many people as you can silently.

Recommended Levels = Any with fibre wire.


Reaper Man
Positioning, timing, and execution are key elements to survival when greatly outnumbered.

Use point shooting to kill 8 NPCs. = this doesnt have to be done all at once, just collectively within a levels boundaries. Shaving Lenny the Barbershop level has a good location where Mason is hiding with his goons by a BBQ. there should be 7-8 of them there lined up for point shooting.

Recommended Level = Shaving Lenny - The Barbershop


Pitcher
Any pointy object can be considered a lethal weapon. It is just a matter of velocity and thrust.

Use lethal throws to kill 5 NPCs without being spotted. = You need to achieve 5 thrown kills without causing any alerts. A good mission to do this is Attack of the Saints - Cornfield.
There is a knife right at the beginning to take, and if you get the scarecrow outfit, you can stand in the corn fields and they will walk right by you as long as you're not moving. This made Pitcher super easy as you can throw the knife at the ones who get spread out far enough so nobody is alerted.

Recommended Levels = Attack of the Saints - Cornfield.


Sandman
A challenging but conscientious approach to infiltration and dealing with obstacles. At least you will not have blood on your hands.

Subdue 3 NPCs. = You can accomplish this on any level, though Terminus - Upper Floors is a good one. at the start of the level when you exit the lift, head left and around the corridors until you find a radio, and a laundry chute next to it. Grab the radio, and place it near the corner (the corner is the one with the guy stood in front of a window). Turn on the radio and move away from it, so the guy will come to investigate. Let him turn it off and then subdue him and drop him down the chute. Keep switching the radio back on and repeat this process 4 more times (you may need to move the radio to the opposite corner).

Recommended Levels = Terminus - Upper Floors.


Bank Robber
When you are all out of cover and need to buy some time, you can always rely on other people to have your back. Or, more likely, your front.

Use 3 NPCs as human shields and knock them out. = Take Human Shields. Load up The King of Chinatown and walk to an area where there isn't a guard presence, and draw your weapons. Get behind people and press A to take them as a human shield. Press X to then knock them out and repeat on other people.

Recommended Levels = King of Chinatown


Spook
Even a ruthless assassin cares about etiquette. It is one thing to execute people, and another to bother the neighbors.

Use silenced weapons to eliminate 3 NPCs without being spotted. = the Attack of the Saints - Cornfield level. Just make sure that you get the scarecrow outfit at the start . I picked off the first 3 people in the level (1 by the car the other 2 in the field to the left of the car) and it unlocked, job done. Load up a level where you have your Silverballers and isolate some people. Then go up behind them and press X to Eliminate them with a shot to the back for this to work.

Recommended Levels = Attack of the Saints - Cornfield


Dynasty Warrior
Bring this weapon into close quarter combat and the fight is won before it has even begun.

Use the katana to kill 9 NPCs. = Your first experience with a katana is in Hunter and Hunted - Chinese New Year. It is located next to the tattoo shop. Grab it and start hacking away at the fleshy things that are trying to run away. The tattoo shop is located up the back right of the level from where you start. If you take a left and continue down till you go down the first set stairs (Not including the stairs you have to go down at the start of the level) then take a right, you will find the shop just past one of the food stalls. If you know the alley with the milk float type thing parked (The one you can rig to the electricity) the stall is just at the entrance to there.
An alternative method is the level Blackwater Hotel - Penthouse as part of the challenges there you need to take out so many people without been detected using a katana and a samurai outfit, both of which can be found in dexter's personal musuem whilst layla stockton roams the level.

Recommended Levels = Hunter and the Hunted - Chinese New Year, Blackwater Hotel - Penthouse.


Dynamite Harry
A pull-no-punches approach to target disposal. Messy and precarious, but truly awesome to behold.

Use explosions to kill 5 NPCs. = You need to blow people up with explosives. Load up The King Of Chinatown and grab the explosives next to the King's car. Drop the explosives near a group of guards, and detonate. Alternatively, load Hunter and Hunted - Chinese New Year and grab the explosives from the room that the target goes to buy information.

Recommended Levels = King of Chinatown, Hunter and Hunted - Chinese New Year.

Playstyles and their cryptic clues, part 2.

Gunslinger
Although romanticized by countless westerns, the life of the gunslinger tends to be nasty, brutish, and short.

Use revolvers to kill 15 NPCs. = The best place for this is Birdie's Gift. When you start, turn around and walk to the door. On your left is a Mustang Snub. Take this and find somewhere to cover (I went through the vent in the Duck Shooting Range, so that I take out everyone in the shooting range. Now shoot up the place. I had to do this 4 times, with a mixture of head shots and body shots for this to finally unlock mid-battle.

Recommended Levels = Birdie's Gift.


Maestro
As grandma used to say: waste is sinful. Bullets are no exception.

Use a sniper rifle to achieve 5 headshots in a row without missing. = Great spot for Maestro. Worked first time for me. Use level select and choose Dexter Industries - Factory Compound. Soon as you start, head in the only direction you can. There's a guard ahead who will walk away. Pick up the sniper rifle next to him and shoot him. The rest can be got from the guards on the bridge who stand still for long enough periods so it's pretty hard to miss. Use the wooden stairs on the right from the rifle for a better vantage point.

Recommended Levels = Dexter Industries - Factory Compound


Glass Cannon
If the weapon packs enough heat, aiming becomes a minor concern.

Use a shotgun to kill 5 NPCs without receiving damage. = Shotgun kills. Load up Welcome to Hope, start the fight, walk into the restroom, enter the vent and grab the shotgun from the shelf. Walk out and open fire on some unlucky people. If you are having trouble with it, try getting the kills in a very short space of time or as an alternate strategy, if you double back through the vent once you have the shotgun, take cover on the right cubicles standing up, aim out over the swing doors and blast as many folk in the head with the first shot, this unlocked it in one shot for me.

Recommended Levels = Welcome to Hope.


Bartender
There is no such thing as a clean fight. Many students of martial arts have learned this the hard way when they accidentally stepped on the wrong toes at the local pub.

Use a bottle to melee attack 5 NPCs. = You need to hit people in the face with a bottle...hit them with it, not throw it. Load up Welcome to Hope (you will be using this level for a few styles), and grab a bottle. Start a barfight, and then walk through hitting people with a bottle (don't throw it, just press X next to people). if it breaks, theres plenty more bottles about its a freaking bar.

Recommended Levels = Welcome to Hope.


Champion
Why bother with weapons when you have a perfectly able pair of hands?

Use unarmed melee attacks to defeat 5 NPCs. = Same as bartender, but just press X while you have nothing equipped. Can be done in a few places, but groups of civilians are best as they dont put up so much of a fight when you hit them.

Recommended Levels = Welcome to Hope, King of Chinatown.


Viking
Professional athletes do it. Trolls do it. But nobody wields a massive wooden club quite like Agent 47.

Use clubs, such as the golf club, baseball bat, or sledge hammer to kill 5 NPCs. = Kill people with clubs or bats. Load Welcome to Hope, walk into the restroom and grab the baseball bat from the stall on the left. Start the bar fight and smack the crap out of some people with the bat.

Recommended Levels = Welcome to Hope.


Brutus
Probably the most popular weapon of all time amongst assassins. The act of using the weapon from a certain position has often been used to describe unexpectedly cruel behavior toward a friend.

Use a knife or any of its variations to kill 5 NPCs. = Kill people with knives. Load Hunter and Hunted - Chinese New Year (or The King of Chinatown) and grab a knife from one of the market stalls (I grabbed the one in front of the tattoo shop (where the target asks the owner to come with him). Now, make like Jason and stab everyone up. There is also the mercenary knife useable on Attack of the Saints - Cornfield. just be sure to get close and stab them for it to count!

Recommended Levels = Hunter and Hunted - Chinese New Year, The King of Chinatown, Attack of the Saints - Cornfield.


Berserker
A tried-and-tested classic, used by Nordic heathens and hooded maniacs alike. Excellent for cutting people down to size.

Use an axe or any of its variations to kill 5 NPCs. = You need to kill people with an axe or tomahawk. Load Welcome to Hope, start the fight and make your way up to the bartender. Don't talk to him, just go to the left of the bar and grab the tomahawk from the dartboard. Now go to town on the people in the bar. They will return fire, so you will need to be quick or you can lure them into the toilets and beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of them. If you would like a few less bullet-holes in your suit, load up The King of Chinatown and find the axe towards the back of the level (if your not sure where it is, its near the food poison), and start killing civilians.

Recommended Levels = King of Chinatown, Welcome to Hope.


Tank
As the old saying goes: no pain, no gain.

Receive damage 20 times. = Load up any level on Professional and get yourself in hot water. Birdie's Gift has many gun-toting fools that will gladly rip you apart.

Recommended Levels = Any, just get hurt. do it near a first aid station if you dont want to die.


Jinx
Forget about black cats and broken mirrors; the real harbinger of bad luck is known as Agent 47. Unlike the fabled cat, no lucky charms, spitting, or throwing of salt seem to have any noticeable effect.

Perform 2 accident kills. = Dexter Industries - Factory Compound checkpoint. Walk up the stairs and out the cave and follow the guard you can garrote him when he stops to pee. then sneak over to the bridge and push two guards without being spotted. I was in a guard uniform so I can confirm that you do not need to be in the suit. There is also the Blackwater Hotel - Penthouse level. if your able to get a disguise there are patrols on the balconies...every minute or so they stop and look over the edge of the balcony (I'm not sure why...the only thing their looking for is in the house so ♥♥♥♥ them) when they do this throw them over for an accident kill. getting 20 kills like this on this level unlocks a challenge so getting jynx should be easy.

Recommended Levels = Dexter Industries - Factory Compound, Blackwater Hotel - Penthouse.

For the SANDMAN play style, remember, all the subdues have to be done in single playthrough, if you restart checkpoint then the count will start from 0 again

For the bank robber play style I found it much better to do it in the patriot's hanger level where you have to either disguise yourself as the luchador or find the card key. This can be done on easy too. The approach is simple.

Sneak to the back where you get the disguise and the explosives. The idea is to get the first two for this challenge are the soldiers patrolling as they can be taken out with very little discretion on easy. The third one is the guy who goes to the back of the tour bus when you take the power out and tries to fix the generator. From there go nuts or do whatever you don't even need to finish the level.

I don't recommend king of china town. It's an amazing level but for this challenge snapped necks do not count. Unless you lure a third person to the dope dealers apartment with unsupressed shots you're not going to get it.
