Over view
The scout is one of the fastest classes and has the ability that no other class has, the double jump. On the downside though, the scout has one of the lowest amount of Health Points (125) and can be killed in seconds with other classes. I always here people talking about how a lone scout can't possibly take down a power class such as soldier, but it's quite the opposite. In this guide, ill cover everything from weapons to tactics.
Weapons
Primarys
Alot of people under estimate the power of the default weapons. It's ok to have preferences, but mind you no weapon is a direct upgrade to the default.

The stock, my personal favorite is the scattergun you originally start with. It can shoot a total of six shots without reloading and has a moderate firing rate. Be sure to have a full clip when going into combat, as reloading can be a risk and opens you up as an easy target. Up close, this weapon is devistating. The scattergun shoots in a cone shaped spread, with 10 pellets. At close range without crits, this weapon does 90-105 damage. With crits, it does a max of 180. At medium range the weapon is substantially weaker, doing only 10-40 damage. But you wont be trying to snipe with this weapon of course.

The Force of nature, often called the "Force of Gayture" is a commonly used weapon. People conisder it "A noobs gun", but it's an overall decent weapon. This gun has 12 pellets per shot, doing 92-113 damage up close, which is slighty more than the default. One of the major disadvantages is the reduced clip size having 2 shots per clip versus the defaults 6. You will be unable to fire for 2 seconds when reloading. I recomend always having a pistol as your secondary with this weapon just in case you dont have time to reload. The one thing i don't like, is the weapon makes your target fly away. Making you have to re-engage them.

The shortstop, a weapon that is very useful for mid range combat. One of the newer perks of this weapon, that was supposed to be a bad attribute can be helpful at times. The weapon has a increased damage knockback (On you) when shot or air blasted. If this Pyro tries to do thiss cheap-ass move and airblast you, you'll fly out of his range most likely, giving you a chance to run off. At point blank it deals 69-72 damge. At mid range it does about 24-48 damage.

The soda popper, so a lot of people have been complaining about my comments on the soda popper. it's all personal preference. That being said, i personally don't like it therefore, i will leave the video there.

The baby face blaster, This weapon has improved accuracy, and gains boost when you damage enemy players. The max speed you can go at full boost is 1.33%. While using this though, you will go a lot slower when you dont have boost, and jumping resets boost. At close range this weapon does 63-73, and at mid it does 7-28. This weapon is very fun to screw around with, especially when paired with the sand man and cleaver.

Secondarys
I wont go into a super amount of detail, with the secondarys, but i will give enough to help you guys out.

The stock pistol, like the stock scattergun this is my favorite to use. The pistol is an upclose spam weapon, and does 20 damage per shot at close range. It has 12 shots per clip, and only has 36 reserve ammo. If you run out of ammo in a fire fight and don't have time to reload, this is the weapon you wanna switch to.

The bonk atomic punch is a situational secondary. I generally dont use it unless the enemy team has a ♥♥♥♥ load of sentries. I see people new to the weapon who try to use is in the middle of a fight to escape, but isnt wise because it takes a couple seconds to actually make you invincible, making you a sitting duck until it activates.
Instead of making another section for the crit a cola ill just put it here. The crit a cola gives you a speed boost and minicrits for a limited amount of time, but you also take 20% more damage while active.

The cleaver is a thrown butcher knife that causes enemies to temporarilly bleed. This is very good when paired with the sand man, due to the fact that the cleaver does crits on stunned enemies. Mastering the arch of this weapon takes practice, and you also must predict where yiur target is going to move.

Melees

Im not really going to explain every single one, but i will tell you about the general idea surrounding them.

Stock: Does 35 damage a hit, relativley fast swing time
The atomizer - Grants triple jumps, does less damage, slower swing speed, jumpes use 10 hp

Sandman - Alt fie launches ball that stuns enemies on hit time depends on distance. Max distance is full stun disabling movement. 10% less Health.

Holy mackerel - Reskin of stock

Boston basher/three runed blade - On hit makes enemies bleed, on miss hit yourself dumby

Fan of war - 90% less damage, on hit marks enemy for death and causes mini crits.

Wrap asassain - Alt fire launches ornament that causes bleed on hit, 70% less damage

Sun on a stick - 25% less damage, crits on buring players

Tactics
General Tips
When you feel like your going to lose a fight, stay in it. With the right moves you can turn the tide of a fight in seconds. Although, if you feel the need to run, NEVER I MEAN EVER turn your back to the enemy. I mean, you cant dodge or avoid what you can't see, right?
Always keep moving, you've got a speed advantage, use it. Move around your target, strafe left to right in un-predictable patterns. Jump over the enemy from time to time, and learn to prioritize. If you see a group ofenemies, go for the medic first.

Aiming
When your aiming, don't shoot as fast as your gun will aloow you to. Take your time, line up your shots. When your strafing, try not to move your mouse too much, just let your crosshair line up with the enemy. Aim for the torso and always go for meatshots. A lot of people think that a 100 dollar gaming mouse and some magical sensetivity makes a good scout, but thats a load of bull. You can use any sensetivity you want, as long as it's good for you, if you change it often you'll have to re-ajust to it each time.

Scout VS. Scout
This is probably one of the hardest classes to kill as a scout. You no longer have your speed advantage, as you are matched up. When fighting anohter scout, stay calm, stay focussed and avoid rapid panic jumping, as more experienced scouts can predict where you land. Strafe around your target and jump over them, try to land meatshots because those can kill a scout almost instantly.

Scout VS. Heavy
This, is your 2nd biggest threat. The heavy can kill you up close in a matter of seconds, in a fight with a heavy movement is key. Jump around move around like crazy and land some good meatshots. Never come from the front unless you know hes almost down.

Scout VS. Demo
This is a pretty easy fight, they have a big torso, slow movement, low ammount of ammo, and slow firing rate. Just get up in there face and land meatshots, two good hits and your done. Just be sure to strafe and move around a lot, as a direct hit can do 90+ damage.

Scout VS. Pyro
When most scouts see a pyro, their first reaction is "OH ♥♥♥♥ RUN!!!!!" which in some cases is the thing to do, but if you come up from behind you can take them out without even getting burned, but be aware that if you get caught on fire you will lose a lot of your health.

Scout VS. Sniper
This is easy most of the time, but don't get cocky. I sometimes underestimate these guys, and get quick scoped in the head. Watch out for that Jarate Bushwacka combo, and watch out for the huntsman. 2 well aimed meatshots and you good to go, but like always, don't get cocky, always move, and stay calm.

Scout VS. Medic
Alone, this should be an easy kill. But as you know, medics generally stick with a power class and hides behind them. If you happen to see a medic pair, kill the medic first, run off, then come back and wpe out the pocket. Try to make the medic pop his uber early on and just run off, he'll have wasted his uber and when he needs it, they wont have it. Another thing, if you see a group, always go for the medic first if you take him out the enemies won't have the advantage.

Scout VS. Engie
Engineers are easy to kill alone, but when they have they're stuff set up, don't try to get em. If you see one carrying his goodies on his shoulder, go for him before he places it, he wont be able to fight back. If he places it right before he dies, shoot the sentry and just take it out before it fully builds.

Scout VS. Soldier
This one is tough at times, his rockets can kill you in 2 shots, sometimes one. Dodge his rockets untill all are fired then move in for the kill. if you have the sandman out, stun him, and take him out while hes open. If he shoots at your feet jump away from it and strafe away. Soldiers will try to predict where you go, run in one direction then quickly change so he will miss his shots.

Scout Vs. Spy
pretty easy, spies have a health pool of 125, and arent generally a threat to scouts. But if he's a good shot with the Ambassador, try to move around and jump around to avoid being shot in the head, and don't get in backstab range with your back turned.
Uses/Conclusion
Scout is a very versatile class. He can play offensively or supportively. you can assist in take out sentry guns with your Bonk, make medics pop uber early, take out snipers and other key enemies that threaten you and your team. You can rush a point after an enemy defense is wiped out before they set up again, and you can also just pick off players. Scouts clean up the scraps, say an enemy barely wins a fight or runs away and has low health. It's your job to take him out before he gets a chance to resupply health and ammo. Some people say scout is overpowered compared to classes like heavy or demo, but anything could really be overpowered, it's all based on the player.

I hoped this helped, if you have any comments on the guide just comment, this is my first guide so don't make me cry myself to sleep tonight. Feel free to add me if you want and again, thanks.
