Yes, I've always felt that mages got the short end of the defensive stick. I haven't worked on this mod for a long time even though I use it daily. There are a few glitches here and there, mostly with the Iron Chef outfits. I'll work on it again soon and see if I can de-glitch it.
You can run the game in windowed mode, using one of the wide screen formats. To do this, run the Skyrim Launcher and click on "Options". Put a check in the box for "Windowed Mode". In the choices at the top, click on "Aspect Ratio" and choose one of the widescreen formats. Then, click on "Resolution" and set it to what looks best on your screen.
