Introduction
Why Should I Buy and Play this Clan?

The Clan of the Kraken knows first hand how dangerous the sea can be.

They worship the gigantic Creature, fearing it's brutal might, honoring it's instinctual knowledge, and using its powers when he deigns bestow them.

So you probably wonder how to become a fearsome Kraken Player like me. You want to take advantage of all the money you payed (or are yet to pay) for this amazing DLC.

Question Artwaltz, should I buy this DLC?

Absolutely, in fact you should buy all the DLC clans to get the best out of this game.
Besides their Warchief is AMAZING, she looks just like Lagertha Lothbrok from the TV Show "Vikings"

Is this Clan any different from other clans?

From all the DLCs I purchased in this game (all of them), Dragon and Kraken clan are the most unique and funny clans to play. This is my personal experience, some people might differ here. But some clans kinda do the same stuff. This clan came with new resources, mechanics and more, so yes, give it a try, because it's quite different and well thought.

Am I good enough to play this clan?

In my opinion this clan is not the easiest, but is not the hardest,
It wont be as easy as playing Goat or Stag, but I still think it wont be as hard as playing Dragon Clan (you rarely see good dragon players around). In fact i think if you play it for like 10 or 15 games, you will probably understand enough on how to play this clan properly.

How Strong is this Clan?

The clan is well rounded, overall very balanced, not overpowered, neither weak. It was honestly an overall well thought clan. Never heard anyone crying out that they lost to a Pay2Win Clan (Fun Fact someone did this when I played Snake)

SO IF YOU ARE NOT YET CONVINCED. Think about it my way. The cheap food way. Kraken Clan's price is like 4 Euros or 5 Dollars, something like that. Thats the price for like 4 bottles of Coke, or 4 Hamburgers. So yeah... Is not really an expensive DLC for all the fun and content you get.

So grab your momma's wallet and buy this DLC. Release the Kraken. SINK your enemies by unleashing the power of this faction, and the knowledge this guide will provide you!

Kraken Features
First off, you gotta learn what makes this Clan Unique. What his skills, bonuses, lores do and what makes the Clan so special.

Starting Bonuses
  • No commercial Victory
  • No port/Shipbuildings/Harbors and therefore no Lighthouse (Sorry about that meme players)

  • The Fisherman's Hut is replaced by the Fishery. It can be used to fish on lake tiles and beaches.

  • Colonization and Building cost on non coastal zones costs +50%

  • All units' Atack is reduced by -30% on non coastal zone.

  • The Brewery is replaced by the Hörgr to assign Norns. Only female vikings can become Norns. The Norn Produce Happiness and Wyrd

  • Wyrd May activate special abilities (We will talk about them soon).

  • The Clan of the Kraken starts with 400 Wyrd .

Fame Bonuses

Thane - 200 Fame - Future Sight
  • When you see this icon you are Warned of events ( and the Frozen Sailors Event) long before they happen and before other clans know it.
  • You Gain 400 Wyrd
Jarl - 500 Fame - Howl of the Sea Master
  • Whenever you kill units on enemy or neutral zones, there is a 10% chance that they turn into a Spectral Warrior under your control (The maximum amount you can get is 5). Spectral Warriors bring unhappiness to the zone controller.

Lores

Near the Sea Spirit - Replaces Trading
  • Generates +1 Krowns every 3 buildings on coastal zones.
  • Enables Trade Routes with Trading Posts.
  • This Lore might sound a little confusing, but let me explain it to you. It's for every 3 building on Coastal Tiles. This doesn't mean you have to build 3 buildings on each Coastal Tile to get the +1 Krown Production. This Lore counts all of the buildings in your base, so if you have 2 buildings in one Coastal area, and 1 more in another Coastal Area, you get the +1 Krown Production. Try to get as much of buildings as you can on Coastal Areas.

Endless Tide - Replaces Weapon Smith
  • Reduces the cost of military units by 20%
  • Each military camp gives +1 Warband
  • Gives +20% to military units.

Knowledge from Beyond - Replaces Shiplbuilding
  • Reveals all neutral factions.
  • Trade routes with neutral factions earn you 20% more Krowns
  • All Trade Routes give you +3

Fresh Fish - Clan's Specific Lore
  • Fishermen produce 20% more food
  • Their tool improvements are free and their forging time is reduced by 2

ForeSight - Clan's Specific Lore
  • Norns generate 20% Happiness more and 50% more Wyrd

Clan Mentality - Does Kraken fit your playstyle?
You will probably like this Clan if:
  • You do not like Rushing people too early . Wyrd is very problematic with this, and the Non Coastal debuff ruins your early rushes.
  • You like a Mid Game Clan, with very good Late game possibilities
  • You are more of a team oriented player.
  • You like high skill gap clans
  • You will definetly like this clan if you like to think before acting, prepare before atacking, calculate before executing.
  • You like to have 2 permanent strong units, like the Warchief and the Valkyrie. (Same as Horse Clan or Bear Clan)
  • You like to play the leader and make the calls in the game.
  • You like to outplay or outsmart your enemy

You will not like this Clan if:

    • You like to kill all the neutrals and enemies around you. LITERALLY, it must be the worst clan at clearing.
    • You like to Rush people
    • Your Team does not trade resources with you
    • Your Team does not help you clearing your neutrals
    • You like the so called "Meme" Victories (Read Victory Conditions section)
    • Your Team lacks communication
    • You like versatile clans, because there are not really many strategies with this Clan.
    • You do not like Ravens, for they can scout your entire base with their harbors and wipe your coasts.
    • You like to be the guy who does the Feasts
    • You do not like getting rushed by the enemy
    • You are not a patient person

Wyrd Skills and How to use them

Shallow Water - Costs 100 Wyrd
  • Used to get another building slot on your Coastal Tiles.
  • Synergizes with to Produce more Krowns

  • Stacks with Area Development, Meaning you can get + 2 Building slots on Coastal Tiles and even more Krown production.
  • You generally need a coast to place one of your Fisheries, and your base is a great place for it. In some games you might not get any other Coasts for your fisheries, Therefore always get one of them in your main base. Shallow Water can help with this early in the game if you lack the space for it.

  • You cant Shallow Water Non Coastal Tiles.

High Tide - Costs 300 Wyrd
    • Removes the Non Coastal Debuff of the targeted Area, Basically turning it into a coastal tile.

    • Used to remove the Non Coastal Atack Reduction Debuff. Meaning that your units can fight properly on High Tided Areas.

    • If for some reason you are going to Atack on Non Coastal Areas, Remember to High Tide it before going in. Prepare the ground for the war.

    • If for some reason you are going to defend a Non Coastal Area, Remember to High Tide it before defending it. PREPARE THE GROUND FOR THE WAR.

    • Used to colonize and build without penalty on Non Coastal Areas.

    • It's important to mind that sometimes some Non Coastal Areas can be of great value in the early game.
Picture a Non Coastal Area that contains a Forest , a Lore Stone and an Iron Deposit or any other tile that seems important for your progress. You shouldnt skip it because it's Non Coastal, on the contrary abuse this Skill and take it.

    • Take into account that this is probably the most important Wyrd Skill of them all, for it helps you fight, colonize and build just like any other clan does. 300 Wyrd is quite a lot, so use it wisely.

    • You cant High Tide Non Coastal areas that are not limiting/connected to Coastal or High Tided Areas. Sometimes you will have to chain the High Tides in enemy bases or even in your own tiles to get the bonuses from them. Yes... It's a lot of Wyrd , so better try to move on Coastal Ground

    • With 06/08/2019 Patch, High Tided areas have a water design, like puddles on the ground, to make it easier to recognize them.

Road to Valhalla - Costs 600 Wyrd
    • One of the Kraken Strengths is that they get a Special Unit called the Valkyrie.

    • In order to get a Valkyrie you will need to train Norn in the Hörgr. Only then, one of them may become a Valkyrie.

    • For some reason when you turn a Norn into a Valkyrie you lose 1 Population...

    • You can only have 1 Valkyrie at the same time.

    • When your Valkyrie dies, there is a 1 minute Cooldown to turn another Norn into a Valkyrie

    • The Valkyrie is a super strong and tanky unit, She can clear a bear by herself (In Coastal Areas) or up to 2 Draugars too.

    • Same as the Bear Clan Playstyle, with Kaija and the Shield Maiden, you can avoid converting units into warriors to clear tiles around you. You can use your Warchief and your Valkyrie to do that too, trust me, they will be enough.

    • The Valkyrie, if upgraded, gets a 10% Atack buff, but she also gets the Purify Ability, which allows your Valkyrie to sacrifice herself and colonize an area for free.

    • Purify has a Cooldown of 1 Year. It can colonize neutral and also enemy areas. In order to colonize these areas, they must be clear from enemies and towers. The colonization is Instant. Your tiles must be limiting/connected to the tile you want to colonize with Purify or you wont be able to colonize it.

    • Purify works just like Berserker's Dominion Skill, You cant colonize Map Specials, You cant automatically win by colonizing Yggdrasil with Purify

Ancient Spirit - Costs 1000 Wyrd
      • Similar to Raven's Mercenaries, When you have 1000 Wyrd you can select a coast to send 5 Spectral Warriors/Fallen Sailors/Ancient Spirits (they all share the same stats, they are pretty much the same unit)

      • Ancient Spirits/Fallen Sailors and Spectral Warriors will debuff the enemy or ally Clan with -10 Unhappiness

      • The Ancient Spirits (those who spawn from the Wyrd Skill) are Non Controllabe Units.

      • The Ancient Spirits are not part of your Clan. This means they will atack you, in case you enter a tile being raided by them.

      • Ancient Spirits dont get a bonus from Fur Coats , or Military Paths, such as Reinforced Armor or Bloodbath (Note that Raven's Mercenaries are a part of your Clan and they do get these buffs)

      • Do not confuse them with your own Spectral Warriors (Those who Spawn when a military unit dies in enemy or neutral territory, with your 500 Fame Bonus or those who spawn from the Ancient Graveyard. For those will get bonuses from Fur Coats , Bloodbath and Reinforced Armor
Best Allies
Now that we can get serious about the Clan. This section will be my personal opinion. Some people might know even more than me about this. But from my experience, here is the deal.

Bear Clan
  • Avoids Rushes against you. Believe me, you hate them.
  • They wont atack you during winter.
  • You can strat during winters. This is very important because with your 200 Fame Bonus you can see upcoming events . You can literally prepare a winter atack way before a Blizzard happens or even do it during the event because your team will be better prepared for it. IT WILL RUIN YOUR ENEMY.
  • Bear is very good at clearing neutrals. You are very bad (if not the worst) at clearing neutrals.
  • They generally go for Shields Bearers, you can use your Warband Cost Advantage to go for Axe Throwers and make a great combo.

Wolf Clan
  • Same logic as with the Bear Clan. They are amazing at clearing, so they help you a lot.
  • They really like Domination. You like Domination as well.
  • Their army is really strong (meaning they hit hard). Your army is not the strongest, but the biggest. It is a good combo.
  • They are very good Early and Mid game, You are very good at Mid Game and Late Game. Good Balance.
  • They dont like to lose units at war. You honestly dont care about this, so you can sacrifice your army first to save his army
  • He loves to get resources from trades, it helps a lot his terrible economy.
  • Most Wolf Players go for Axe Throwers, with your cheap Warband Advantage you can easily go for Shields to make a good combo. In case your Wolf is bad with Krown Production. You can go for the Axe Throwers and he can go for Warriors. Remember you always need to communicate, because you waste a lot less gold to get units than they do.

Stag Clan
  • I mean.... do I really need to explain it? They are the "I CAN DO EVERYTHING IN THIS GAME" Clan, so why not. Jack of all trades.
  • The Hall of Skalds and the Hörgr do pretty much the same. They both have big population playstyles.

Goat Clan
  • Feasts
  • Is always good to see a friendly Goat in your team
  • He trades Food , send him some Food back
  • You are both amazing at befriending the Jötnar and Bláinn is a good unit.

Raven Clan
  • They like to atack in Coasts, because of the Mercenaries they can send there. You always want to atack on Coastal Areas
  • They can do the scouting for you
  • Good to raid with Mercenaries and Ancient Spirits in some other tiles (Don't send them together). Not effective as some people might think, but it is indeed, very, VERY annoying.
  • Ravens gets a lot of Coasts. Good for you, in case you have to help him defend himself when he goes for a Trade Victory or something like that. If you are playing on a Balanced Map, I believe you will be getting many Coasts too.
  • They are bad at Rushing. You are bad at Rushing.

Boar Clan

I am not an amazing Boar Player, but I kinda know the stuff.
  • Reveals the Neutral Factions. Boar can trade with them very early thanks to this. But they sadly can't trade with you.
  • They really like Late games. If you play with a Boar, build an Altar of Kings as well, and try to survive until the Late game. Then the game should surely be yours.
  • Their Relic is awful . Yours too
  • Bad at Rushing. Guess what... you too.

Dragon Clan

I'm a Dragon Master and I believe he is a very good Ally. Sadly not many people know how to play Dragon.
  • They can't Rush. You dont like Rushing.
  • Dragonkin are so expensive! And your army is so cheap! That it really works out.
  • Dragonkin and Axe Throwers combo is amazing.
  • Mid and Late game is incredible for both of you.
  • He can clear your stuff with his Warchief when he gets Draconic Frenzy , and get all the Military Experience that he needs.
  • Very weird for a Dragon Player to go for "Meme" Victories. They just kill everyone.
  • They have strong units, but they can only make a few. You have weak units, but you can make a lot of them.
  • If he plays with Capture, He can get some cool units thanks to
  • Their Relic Summons a Draugar Jötunn. Would be cool if you could befriend the Jötnar and get an army with 2 Giants.

Horse Clan

Well I can't say much about them...
  • Together it feels like 4 Warchiefs
  • He is like a Stag to me, he can do a little of everything.
  • Not amazing early game as well.
  • You generally don't colonize much. You can give them that 4 Iron or Stone deposit tile that they always cry for.

Snake Clan
I'm a Snake Master too and I can TOTALLY say that
  • I only won 1 game with a Snake ally when playing Kraken, and he was one of the TOP tier Snake Players
  • He will Black Market with the enemy... So trading resources with him can help, but he will never send you back.
  • They Rush a lot. You don't like that.
  • Their units are weak, but he can make a lot. Same with you.
  • Signy can clear some stuff for you from year 801 and on.
  • I mean he is decent Late Game, but honestly other Clans do much better. You will get crushed.
  • You can see him as a weaker Wolf.
  • They only go for Skirmishers... Which is really bad, because how do you even combo with that?
  • They only play Domination Victories. That's good.
  • Well they are very good at Map Specials (due to Scorched Earth), and you are quite bad at them. Maybe you could try it.

Worst Enemies
Bear Clan
  • Winter atacks are terrible.
  • They can Rush you

Wolf Clan
  • THEY WILL RUSH YOU
  • Since you don't like to colonize Non Coastal Areas, if you are not smart enough he can get your Base tile SUPER fast with Conqueror

    Raven Clan

    • Bro, he can literally SCOUT your entire base when he explores with the Harbors. This is awful.
    • You generally have more than 1 coast, and you also aim to colonize coasts. Guess what... He loves that. You will receive mercenaries.
    • You can't go for him early. Mid game he is good. Late game he is the best.
    • He can Trade Victory and you just can't

    Snake Clan

    • He will Rush you too.
    • If he gets Scorched Earth. WELL, he pretty much won that tile. Because this is like a 10 dead units Bloodbath bonus for his army. You don't have many tiles to give away, because your colonization is awful.
    • He will ignore a lot of neutrals with the Stealth ability to atack you, you are very bad at clearing. He will atack you, and you probably wont be able to do the same for a while.

    Dragon Clan

  • You can't rush them. The more you let them live, the stronger they will get.
  • Dragonkin are so strong, and you army is generally weak. Your Lore and Fame Bonuses don't really help you to get a stronger army like Wolf, Bear, Snake, Stag, Raven or Goat. If you don't kill those fast, you are in big problems.
  • Dragonkin's AOE spin atack will wipe out your huge army. They really dont care about big numbers.
  • You will have to micro a lot your Shield Bearers and Axe Throwers to win in combat. Don't go for Warriors or he already won.
  • If you are in a very Late game Scenario and he went for the Conqueror Path he will get the Veteran Fighters buff which makes him Decolonize 5% faster for each Dragonkin. He will get your base super fast, and again, Kraken Bases are not so big.
  • If he went for the Guardian Path which they sometimes get for bigger Warbands , you will have to kill him before he gets Suppressing Fire

    Goat Clan
    • They are quite problematic in Team Games. I honestly never had a problem with them in Duels.
    • They can Steal your Jötunn
    • They Feast a lot. You generally don't.
    • If he has the Feast Relic he will not only get a better Late game than yours. He will get tankier with the Feasts and also heal. Hard to beat that. But not impossible.
    • Goat Clan Bases are really big. Good luck trying to High Tide everything you actually want to.

    Stag Clan
    • Annexation from their relic means GG for you. You can't fight with that.
    • They can go for a Fame Victory faster than you.
    • Stag Clan Bases are also big. Good luck with that Wyrd management.

About the other Clans, I believe they are good enemies. Not too strong, not too weak. Horse got some pretty big nerfs. Playing versus another Kraken would be balanced. Boar could try to Rush Lore and you would have to kill thousands of neutrals to get to him because of Lay of Land
But their late games are balanced.

Having another Kraken as an Ally sucks. Try to avoid it.

Victory Conditions
In this section I will be naming the possibilites of achieving a victory that you have, and how to get those as well. I will also explain the 2 different game modes that exist.

Domination Victory

This is most of the times one of the best Victories. It doesn't mean is the easiest. This is the fastest victory. Most games can end in year 802 or 803 when people actually get armies and fight another clan.
You are a very good Domination Clan, I suggest you always go for this one.

Fame Victory

Not so bad as you might think. Colonization with this Clan is terrible due to the Non Coastal Penalties. So you'll have to get a lot of food and a lot of Wyrd to High Tide those areas. This could work in a Free For All game or maybe a Super Long Duel. But in team games is going to be very difficult.
Your clan has very big problems with Fame. You really dont have a lot of means to get Fame rather than colonizing, getting Lore Skills, and Upgrading Buildings. So reaching 1200 Fame can be very frustrating. Your Relic Edda of Vör can help with the required Wyrd and Fame production, since your Norn will also produce Fame with this. But then again, this relic is not as good as a Svalinn Relic could be. Also Jörmunr Relic could be amazing for this. You generally get a lot of Lore in Late games and colonizing with Lore sounds pretty good.
You would have to play in a defensive way. It would require of you to get the Guardian Path which is not amazing for this Clan, in my opinion, because you generally don't get a lot of military experience. It will take you forever to get Skills like Suppressing Fire and Call to Arms so maybe just going for the Tactician Path will be way better.

Very Situational Victory I guess... Other clans can get this one a lot faster than you.

Lore Victory

If you get a lot of Lore masters, and with many Trading Posts with the Bonus. You can aim to get this Victory. I almost did in a lot of games when we reached the year 804 . The Jörmunr Relic can always help for this.
Same Strategy as with the Fame Victory. Look around your environment and how many Lore Stones you can get, and play it in a Defensive Way. You should decide if you are going for this win from year 801... Because it takes longer to get it than Boar Clan does.
Easier than getting the Fame Victory

Trade Victory

Your Clan can't achieve this victory. And even if it was available, they would rush you, and game over my friend.
Again sorry "Meme" Players, I know a lot of you like to get this Victory.

Map Specials

I have a big problem with them. I can count with my fingers how many Map Special Victories I saw.
This Clan will not give you any of them.
They are always in the middle part of the map. You need to High Tide and Colonize so many areas, that it will be super difficult for you. You are very bad at clearing.
You really don't have very good Food Lores neither to sustain armies for so much time or to even try to colonize the Tree.

Game Modes

Northgard Mode

He is very good at Northgard. The events are cool and I feel this mode is very balanced for this Clan

Ragnarok Mode

He fits better in Ragnarok honestly. Although I don't like this Mode. I can say for certain that every time I play Ragnarok I get tiles with Deer. DEER MAN! Like are there even farms in Ragnarok? Well I guess not because all the earth is Scorched.
And since you always get Fish Food, this could look like an Advantage.
The bad thing about this map is that there are so many neutrals , and they are so strong, that it will be hard sometimes to reach your enemies.
The Ancient Graveyard can give you more Spectral Warriors which is very cool.
The Molten Rocks event is very cool. You love Stones and you can Develop Areas with your Wyrd Skill Shallow Water
You can reveal all the 3 Neutral Factions with which is also very cool. Helps a lot with the scouting.
The Blood Moon event can help you a lot if you want to clear something, and it is INSANE if you atack with it.

I feel like people Rush a lot less in Ragnarok Maps. They also try to achieve "Meme" Victories.

Ragnarok is, in most of my games, home to Clans like Boar, Raven and Stag.

Understanding a Kraken Player
Some important things I will mention about how you should play when a Kraken is in your team or when you are playing with this Clan.

YOUR 200 FAME BONUS LET'S YOU SEE THE FUTURE PREPARE YOURSELF FOR IT, AND PREPARE YOUR TEAM FOR IT.
IF ONE OF YOUR TEAM MATES GETS HIT BY A BLIZZARD, THATS YOUR FAULT MY FRIEND. YOU FAILED AS KRAKEN.
IF YOUR TEAM MATES SLOW DOWN THEIR GAMES BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT READY FOR AN EVENT. GUESS WHAT... YOUR FAULT.
AND IF YOU GET HIT HARD BY AN UPCOMING EVENT... MY FRIEND.. YOU SHOULD BE BANISHED FROM THE KRAKEN'S COMMUNITY

Kraken is a terrible Clan for clearing Neutrals. Ask your team mates for help.
If you have a Kraken in your team, prioritize helping him clear his neutrals before yours.

Please if you are playing with a Kraken. ATACK ON COASTAL TILES. Don't make the game harder for him.

Most of his Gold income comes from Trade Routes and Merchants. Trade resources with them.

Whenever you play Kraken or there is one in your team. Avoid scouting Neutral Factions, don't waste your time, he will eventually reveal them.

Warband Costs
Thanks to Lore Bonus. This Clan gets a HUGE advantage at war. Honestly, at first i thought it was unbalanced.

Base Formats
Colonization can be very important in this game. Some areas can get you closer to your enemy to remove the Supply Penalty Debuff from your units.
You will most of the times colonize in this way. Because you avoid taking Non Coastal tiles. Why? Because it will make your life easier, you will save resources and a lot of Wyrd

The main problem with your Clan is that, by playing this way. You will never get rid of the Supply Penality Debuff. Being the first one to atack can be very hard sometimes.

Some other Clans can play a lot more aggresive and they colonize in a special way that makes them get super close to you. Not only to get rid of the debuff but also to heal their wounds from combat.

I believe most Wolf, Snake, Stag and Goat players play in this way.
Be very careful when you play against those kind of base formats, because in close combat they will pretty much always win. Decolonizing them will take you forever, and they can take your base a lot faster than you can take theirs.

With this being said. If you are a team oriented player. Always try to atack from one of your allies bases. Because if you all atack from your base, they will be very far to heal their units and they will get a huge debuff from Supply Lines.

Lore Order
I mean Lore Order is very situational, it really depends on the map you are playing and your environment as well.

The one I believe to be the best

  1. Near the Sea Spirit
  2. Knowledge From Beyond
  3. Carpentry Mastery
  4. ForeSight
  5. SharpAxes/Coinage/EndlessTide (Depends on your game)
  6. FurCoats/Defensive (Depends on your enemies and your strat)
  7. Jord's Blessing
  8. Colonization
  9. Recruitment
  10. Fresh Fish/Hearthstone
  11. Freya's Blessing (Honestly Baldr's Blessing is so bad. Better get more Hörgrs
  12. Military Lores

If you are wondering why the Military Lores are last, in my personal experience, besides they are all terrible and won't make a huge difference in combat.
This might be different when playing Duels

War Strategy & Military Paths
The purpouse of this section is to turn you from

This ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->This
And teach you how to set up a good mess when you atack.

Always try to have around 600 or 900 Wyrd to High Tide enemy areas.
If you can have more Wyrd to get a 2nd Valkyrie (in case she dies in combat), that can help too.

Strategy Number 1 - I carry you noobs
This would be the main strategy, also for Duels when you don't have team mates.
The idea is to have around 12 or 15 Warrior units by 802, a Valkyrie and a Warchief. The Military Path will be Conqueror and this means you are the main force of atack. So you should also look forward to upgrading your Military Camps.
Why Conqueror? Because your army will never be the strongest. It will be the BIGGEST. and when you get the BloodBath Bonus your army will be unstopabble, because your Warchief, your Valkyrie, Warriors and your Spectral Warriors can trigger it. Why Warriors? Because I believe is the best unit and pretty much counters everything. Unless you are fighting Clans like Dragon. Besides for Late Game Scenarios Veteran Fighters is a lot better for Warriors than for the other units. Since you are going for Warriors, which is one of the cheapest units, you should be able to make bigger armies than your team mates.
Try to get a Mjolnir and destroy your enemies.
Remember to ALWAYS ATACK ON COASTAL AREAS, and HIGH TIDE those which are not.
Always tank towers and units with your Valkyrie. She's got 18 Armor man, how do you even kill that thing?
If you already have your 500 Fame Bonus. Tank with your Spectral Warriors they have Evasion.

Strategy Number 2 - What we truly need
If you have a good team, you will probably decide who is going for Axe Throwers, Shield Bearers and Warriors. In which case you should look forward to get Axe Throwers or Shield Bearers because they are a lot cheaper for you. You will have the same military path as in Strategy Number 1
This strategy doesn't apply if you play with Ravens or Stags, because they don't have the Military Strategy Lore

Strategy Number 3 - Bad Wyrd Management.
If for some reason you got no Wyrd to High Tide many areas or you are getting pressured by the enemy constantly in many different places. Forget about the damage and just get an entire army of Shield Bearers. In this case you will get the Tactician Path and you will be tanking all for your team. This could be the only effective RUSH thing you could do with this Clan. (Don't do this in a Duel)
If your team wants to Skirm Rush, yours Skirmishers will be hitting less than a villager without High Tide and the Supply Penalty Debuff, just dont do it.

Game Stages
Early Game - Year 800 and Year 801

When you start your game is pretty much the same for all the Clans. Scout around you, try to get the middle if possible. You have BIG Fame problems, so getting that 50 bonus can be useful.
Prioritize colonizing a Lore Stone. Why? Because this Clan doesn't have access to Shipbuildings/Harbors/Ports. If you don't have a Lore Stone, your game will be VERY slow, until you can get

You should scout coastal areas first, never tiles in front of you, for those are not easy to colonize. Try to have all the Coastal around you scouted before 801 arrives.
Aim to build 2 Woodcutter Lodges, yes, even in Farm or Deer tiles, because you wont be using those.
Aim to build 2 Fisheries, ALWAYS. Fish should be your only food source. In this meta Fish is probably the best you can get. Abuse this bonus. Forget about those farms and deers. If you dont have Fish Ponds or Beaches aside from your main tile. Keep scouting until you can get another tile to place your Fish. (This will rarely happen so dont worry about it)
After that you will get your First Trading Post and your First Hörgr.
Houses whenever you need them (Duh)
Now you want to Start Mining Stone. I generally mine Stone first because you shouldnt be clearing stuff so soon. Unless you are surrounded by a lot of Wolf Dens placed in Non Coastal Areas.
When you are already in Year 801 and you got your Carpentry Mastery Lore starts the time to upgrade your buildings. You will always Upgrade your TownHall first, Woodcutter Lodge (just one of them), one of your Fisheries and your Scout Camp if needed. This will probably give you 200 Fame and also 400 Wyrd . Use that Wyrd to get your Valkyrie
Then when you finish mining that Stone, aim to mine your Iron or your 2nd Stone
With Jord's Blessing you can get your Warchief if you didn't have it yet. Upgrade your second Fishery, and your Hörgr.
With your second Stone you will upgrade your Trading Post and your Military Camps.

Year 802

Start clearing with your Valkyrie and your Warchief whats bothering you in the map, and also try to get as much miltiary experience as you can. It will be hard and you will also need a Healer's hut.
In this year you will start building all of your Military Camps and also do the scouting if required.
You should aim to get a Forge as well, Upgrade your chosen military unit, your Fisherman and WoodCutter tools. Mine your 2nd Iron, Upgrade Norns and Merchants, unless you want to get a Specific Relic.
When you dont have more Stone, nor Iron to mine. Get a second Trading Post and try to Upgrade it as well. Start with your Krown Production. You really dont need much as you learned in this guide. So you should be ready to atack your enemy by this point of the game.
If everything worked correctly you should be able to atack 4 or 3 months before 802 Winter and make an army of 12 - 15 Units leaded by your Warchief and Valkyrie.

Year 803

If for some reason you and your team mates had a tough game and couldn't perfom an atack on Year 802 (not even a Winter Atack), keep producing Gold and Upgrade your Military Camps. Keep building Hörgrs if you are running out of Happiness.
Try to get a Relic if you didn't.
And please, try to atack your enemy (you should already have your 2nd Military Path Bonus)
If you didn't get it yet, do some feasts until you can get your 500 Fame Bonus
From Year 803 and on, you should try to get bigger armies. Probably around 20 or 23 units. (No kidding man)
The biggest army I made was of 28 Warriors. It was in a Free For All and I Wiped 3 clans alone.

There’s no way you’re serious about getting 600 wyrd. That’s not even close to possible is it?
