Guide on being the best hunter

The guide

As a hunter you probably experience some harsh games where you can't catch the scavengers and they all escape or taunt you before leaving the exist. well, i'm here to help you on leaving a game with at least 3 - 5 kills per match.

I will not explain in dept of every little thing to do, the developers made videos for this here.

Role

Know your role

Role as a hunter
Your goal as a hunter is to kill at least 3 in game this would be consider a win/b] for the hunter.

Role as a scavengers
They collect blood and deliver them to the giant blood tower, if they collect 140 blood, the exit open, However, if the hunter kills 3 of the scavengers, the exit will open signalling that the hunter won and the exit has open for the remaining two scavengers to escape.

The loadout for your hunter depends on the play style you have, but in this case where the game is more one sided towards the scavengers similar to their other game Dead by Daylight, there is a meta that has to be applied for this.

Information on why these perks and selections

Inquisitor - The Inquisitor has the best perks, his is that he can put two auto turrets down that shot anyone in a short radius. It reveal the scavengers when the turrets shoot the scavengers, they also can see enemies in the bushes to, your turrets also have a white outline to see where they are or see if one of the scavengers destroyed one. It takes 5 shots from scavengers to destroy it, or two special shots to destroy it.

Power Booster - This lower the cool down of your turret deployment. you need to be constantly be placing turrets down to pressure the scavengers, it not easy for them to juggle you, the turret, and the drones all at once, if you can place a turret down immediately after one is destroyed, it them wasting ammo and time.

Autocollect - what makes the Inquisitor special is that he has the ability to auto loot creates when near, this extend the radius of how far you can loot.

Trisynkt .45c - Is more reliable then it's big brother "Snake Bite", it a three burst fire rifle, it has a faster fire speed, and has a more accurate shot to hit hunters, you can down within 3 - 4 burst depending how good you are at aiming. If your good up close with a shotgun, your welcome to add that on to.

What you need to do, and tips

Beginning of the match

Your first thing to do is to collect blue boxes, as many as you can and see and activate the drones at all 3 Blood towers, don't worry about the scavengers so much, your focus is to activate the the drones that surrounds the tower, this makes it harder for them to turn in blood because they have to shoot down your drone, and by them shooting your drone, it will be highlighted for you, so you can deny them early on. after that, run around and activate any drone you see, mostly the ones near the blood collectors.

Mid match/b] - This is around the 5 - 4 minute mark you are activately hunting for scavengers, you are placing down turret next to or near blood towers and continuely activating drones, you also should be shooting chest to [hack] them for this starve the scavengers from ammo and specials.

Late game/b] This can either be a early game if you manage to kill 3 scavengers, but let pretend you didn't, you continue doing what you been doing tell the escape open, you want to go to the closet escape opening and place your turrets on the outer edge or where there is visible spots, and wait tell the reveal happens and hunt down the remaining scavengers, this can be a 50/50 chance that this make or break your win, so my best bid it to place the turrets down near one, and go to the second exit right after.

Tips

Tips

Hacking - as soon as the game starts, I would shoot every blue create you collect, the scavengers will mainly be collecting those over the other two creates, if you are actively hunting a scavengers and got away in hiding, shoot all the red creates around you, they will most likely collect one do to low health. I suggest to hack any creates outside the drone's radius to really starve them

Auto turrets - I suggest always and only places auto turrets around the blood towers, your main goal is to Kill/b] and avoid them from turning in blood/b]. you can also place a turret when they get away by hiding in bushes, this will force them out of hiding.

Shock - What you want to do with shock is a interesting one, it damages, staggers, and ragdoll the scavengers when downed, so the best thing to do is when you are hunting them near a edge, bring them down to near death and shock them, this will knock them off the edge and recycles/kills them so you can avoid the exacute animation, or the recycle process. I also suggest using shock right away when you see them, or if they are trying to climb something, shock them before they get to high up, it'll stagger them and give you a second of time to shoot. shock does not work mid air.

Stamina Boost - I would use this often a lot, when jumping mid air, turn it off so you preserve on stamina, and you'll still preform the full jump, don't ever use the stamina for just running, you want to be always jumping, and always be collecting red creates if there convently close to you.

Weakness

Weakness
Your biggest weakness is the scavengers, the two biggest ones is the healing and cloak. The cloak will avoid your turrets and drones, there no work around from this, you just need to have a sharp eye on where they went if they cloak, remember, this game doesn't have true invisability, you can somewhat see them. I would Say healing is a biggest weakness, but it's annoying, my best bet with this is when you see another scavengers killing your target, go for them instead of your current target, you can see their shoot and get a good idea where they are, if you are unsure and don't want to take that chance, keep chasing tell they run out of healing arrow, remember that you hack a lot of the blue creates, they'll be starve from doing that.
