All Cameo Locations (Video & Text/Images)

A quick guide in video and text to help you find all the cameos and subsequently get both the "Bossman" and "Who ISN'T in this game?" achievements.

Brentalfloss

When you reach the part with the floating stairs (who designed this place?!), switch to Mike and jump onto the hidden platforms on the right of the lonely Skull Block.

Andre the Black Nerd

Go on top of the floating stair case and jump to the left where the extra life insurance is. Switch to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Man to reach the hidden place on the left.

Happy Fun Candy Time

Wiz and Boomstick

When you're at the bottom of the waterfall right where the first falling log is, use it to jump to the platform on the right instead of heading straight up.

Keith Apicary

On top of the waterfall, jump down to the left while you're on the ladder that's leading you to the Air Man stage-looking thing.

Blizzard of Balls

Egoraptor

When first entering the ice labyrinth, either take the first ladder up and then take the left one, or take right one and then break the blocks on the left with Mike. Jump onto the secret blocks on the left side and follow the way.

Angry Joe

In the ice labyrinth, go to the bottom right and defeat the big snow man. Switch to BS Man and jump to the platform to the right. Just watch out, as of now (2013.09.27) they're slippery which is inconsistent with the rest of the clouds on this board.

Thy Farts Consumed

Stuttering Craig and Chad

After the first checkpoint (the first ladder if you're playing on higher difficulty settings), jump over the wall with the two Skull Blocks on the right. You can do this with the Nerd, but it is a lot easier to do with Mike.



This also unlocks the Bossman Achievement and is a great spot to farm Life Insurance.

Dungeons & ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Jim Sterling & Mr. Destructoid

After climbing up the final ladder before the flying part of the stage begins, break the blocks on the left using Mike.

Boo! Haunted House

The Completionist

Exit the first tight platforming segment (the one after the witch startles the Nerd) to the left when you get the chance. Just take a big leap with any character and you should be fine.

Pat the NES Punk

When you're on the last falling block of the descending block "stairs", use Mike to jump onto the ledge with the Skull Block and immediately jump to the area above.

Optimal Stage Order

If you want to see all the cameos in one playthrough with as little backtracking as possible (none), consider this overly confusing and cluttered chart:




Basically this means play Future ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2010 first to unlock the Guitar Guy. Then use him to unlock Mike in Dungeons & ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (and see the cameos in that level), and then use Mike to unlock BS Man in Beat it & Eat it. Afterwards play whatever levels you want, you have all the tools and don't ever have to go back. If you want to get all the ♥♥♥♥ Pickle sightings down in one go as well you'll have to go back to Future ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2010 once you unlocked Mike though.


Please note that Mike isn't 100% necessary to reach the secret cameo stash in Thy Farts Consumed, but he makes it a lot easier.

I found him. He's in the Future Fuckballs 2010 Stage. Shortly after you reach the checkpoint near the Super Mecha Death Christ, you'll find a ton of purple jellyfish above some disappearing-reappearing blocks. Right past that is a small ladder leading down to a power-up. Go right and some ghost blocks will appear (you do not need Mike for this to happen). Matthew is waiting at the end.

OK. Where is the Matthew Lentz? I can't find him.

I think you need to find all of them in one file. I've found most of them except The Completionist and Brentalfloss on my first save. Then I accidentally created a new game and went to find both two, but that didn't count. I had to find everyone else again.

And, for some reason, Matthew Lentz doesn't seem to count this achievement. I first found him on the first gameplay, but not the second.

As people have already commented, maybe you should update your guide to point out that FF level has a cameo.

It's been a while, but I was under the impression that finishing the level isn't needed. I'm not sure about it though, sorry.

It was my fault, they contacted me on facebook, and it went right into my spam message folder. so it took a long time to get in touch. I'm glad I made it though, considering I now have an achievement named after me, I don't think I'll be able to top that any time soon.
