With 10 turns CD (personal per datasmith) and 40 influence cost grab more datasmiths and store influence, you can use some Ironstriders with their range 3 to kill enemy techpriests and tank kastelans until your priests can crawl closer and tame them. And also datasmiths can heal eachother and striders each turn.
So maybe the developers added this to the base game, after you published this guide?
BTW, great work! Read your guide, and Mecklenberg's before purchasing Gladius, and it was one of reasons why I made the purchase.
