Background on Operation Hydra
Operation Hydra was an operation that got released on May 23, 2017. It came with an operation Pass, Coin, Keys, and case.

I will not be touching on Passes because those show no abnormality on the pass side... the older the pass gets the rarer they are meaning the more expensive they get.
The Hydra Case
During this time like any other release of a new operation the Cases were very "expensive" (for a case at least) selling for a maximum of $4.64. This was just because they are new and the Community is smart. But since the case was out for a while the price of the case began to drop and it reached a low of $0.08. Which is pretty normal for a case. Once the operation ended the case got removed from active drops and is extremely rare to get. Making the demand increase and the supply lower.

If we look at the graph we can see some red circles.
1. The First circle shows the release of the Hydra Case and the price of the first round of cases that circled the Market.
2. The Second circle shows the hydra case at the all time low which was when the Operation was still going on and the steam community still had a reliable influx of cases as drops .
3-6. These last circles show that the lowest price they are selling at then all of the cases in the market get bought up then resold.

Since we are looking at a Case with a rising price a following has started to build around the Case. The price has reached a point that is higher then the original release point and has no intention of slowing down. The market graph shows the rise in price after drops. As of the 7th of July 2019 the price is lowering and in accord with the graph this could show a spike after this drop.

The rise in price of these cases is going to do the same as we see in the Bravo cases. As the price rises for the case and the Demand increases while supply lowers we are going to see the High-Tier skins in this case increase in price as well.

Lets take a look at the most popular Covert Weapon in the Hydra case and we can see the rise in price. Of course it is normal to see it be worth an absurd amount of money when the case is first released but then it starts to level out at around $70. Now we can see in the past 2 months the price of the AWP Oni Taji has increased $30 due to the lack of supply of the case. If the Trend continues with the Increasing price of the Case the guns in this collection will increase in price as well.
The Hydra Key

The Hydra key... the most important thing involved in opening cases. You must be wondering with why I am including information regarding a Key. You must be thinking that "oh its just $2.5 you do not need a section to cover this key!" and you kind reader are vastly mistaken. The Hydra key's price was dropped down to $1.00 on the CSGO home page.

If we take a look at the lifetime graph we can see that the keys started out at the normal $2.50 like a normal key would... you can go to the CSGO home page in the game and go buy any key from valve for the price that they have them listed. Although the main reason why they lowered so much was because of Supply and Demand. Currently there is 2x the amount of keys on the market vs. the amount of cases which rarely happens with Cases vs Keys.

Although the cases are still very lowly priced the price in game has been reverted back to $2.50. This allows for the price of the keys to slowly gain in price again. Many people have said that the keys will never get priced back at $2.50 on the community market. That could be a reality but on the other hand if the keys keep getting purchased off the market. They are going to have to get replaced at some point and the only way to achieve that is to buy them from valve. A thing that could happen is that all of the cases run out (which would make all of the Guns and cases collectors items).
