This is another reason this game died so quickly, it's not enjoyable to watch people warp the physics of reality by spazzing their camera around.
Bladed weapons require the swing phase to complete after hitting an enemy since they pass through. Blunt weapons can start an attack nearly immediately after hitting an enemy because of stop on hit, this is because it has no swing phase left after it hits an enemy. This is the reason poleaxe (hammer side) and eveningstar were/are so popular for this style of fighting. And its also why qstaff works the way it does.
@Cave Man boi you need a longsword for that, it is the only weapon that can do it. When holding, press x to bring up emote menu, then press 2 for the pommel throw.
