Description
During the Russo-Finnish War (from December 1939 to March 1940), the Soviets used flamethrower vehicles based on modified T-26 tanks, which were easily collapsible even by anti-tank rifles or small cannons.
In 1941 it was planned to install a flamethrower in a KV at the same time that the same was done in a T-34.
These tanks with flamethrowers were called KV-8 and OT-34 respectively.
In the case of the T-34 (OT-34) they installed the flamethrower in the place of the helmet machine gun, while in the KV (KV-8) they did it in the tower. Another advantage of the KV-8 over the OT-34 was that it could store 5 times more fuel.
In 1942 the production of KV-8 began with the consent of Stalin, who viewed both projects with good eyes. Thus, in January was accepted for production and in April 1942 a series of 102 vehicles was launched, and both the OT-34 and the KV-8 participated in battalions of independent flamethrowers, composed of 10 KV-8 in two companies and 11 OT-34 flamethrower tanks in a company.
Between September and November 1942, 25 more KV-8 were manufactured and another 10 in 1943.

Is this mod compatible with #Valour mod?

This is just the tank, it is not in any mission of the game. But I have introduced it in one of my missions, Operation Mars, there you can use it. Link:

can we use it on official single player campaign?

Thx Normand. I know, but that would make him a very vulnerable tank and it would be a non-competitive unit in the game. Already in itself, the KV-1 is a unit almost useless (in the game at least). Nobody would want it ...
I do not think what the change, but let me think about it, and see what the community says (if they say anything ... ). Anyway, feel free to make your changes (giving recognition in the case of using this mod as model).

To make KV-8 tank with real parameters you should:
- put bullet45 ammo instead of bullet76 ammo into inventory ("kv8.def" file)
- replace weapon from "76mm_zis5" onto "45mm_20k" ("kv8.def" file)
- replace fire animation ("kv8.mdl" file)
instead of {sequence "fire" {speed 0.6}}
put {sequence "fire" {file "start.anm"} {speed 0.7}}

KV-8 had 76mm tube (fake gun) with 45mm 20-K AT gun inside (real gun).
Please check animation of the fire (45mm gun movement inside 76mm static tube):
