Witcher Gear Stat Summary (Up To Master Craft)

This guide summarizes the stats of the witcher school gear. Saving you time from doing the math and giving you a better understanding of the complete set stats.

This guide merely states the complete set stats to help you choose which school fits your game play style best.

Do note all armors have the same rating and all swords do the same raw damage. The difference is it's stats and bonuses. For example bear armor and cat has the same armor rating but bear has 80% resistance to monster damage so it provides much more defense than cat.
Same concept applies for swords despite having the same raw damage the stats of the sword gives each sword a unique play style and damage buffs. For example bear school swords give a massive boost to critical hit damage bonus whereas griffin school swords give a massive boost to sign intensity.

Griffin School

Magic oriented little emphasis on swordsmanship. If you find your self loving enhanced magic signs and hating alchemy this set is for you.

FULL ARMOR SET

Cat School

Quick footed and quick attacks focused on increased critical hit chance and bleed chance. The fast stamina regeneration gives you flexibility in special fast attacks as well as casting basic magic signs easily

Wolf School

Best all rounded build. Play style suits for those who like to mix both magic and swordsmanship without specializing in just one. Out of all the medium armor school sets (including viper school set from hearts of stone expansion and manticore school set from blood and wine expansion) wolf school is the best well rounded in terms of mixing all skills.

Bear School

If you love going full on swordsmanship with little use of magic signs this set is for you. The critical attack boost is unmatched and adrenaline gain gives you more options for swordplay and little more options in magic as well. Mind you despite the lowered stamina regeneration and magic intensity alchemy can be used to compensate for your weaknesses rather easily. If you find your self using magic a lot and don't really like alchemy this set is NOT for you.
