Why you should listen to me.
Hi! So... I'm a Global Elite smurf, playing MM sometimes just to mess around.
Being a good player means that I get reported... A lot in MM.
They think the only way to be good is to cheat... So...
Better than them? Reported.

I can honestly rarely play a single game where someone doesn't report me.
So, obviously this wreaks havoc on my Trust Factor.

So I've found a few things that do work towards improving your trust factor, and... things the do not.
So here to help you out!

I hope this list helps you improve you trust-factor so you can find cheater free games.
What improves your Trust Factor.
Hours... Hours, Hours, Hours.
The only thing that I've found to improve trust factor is putting hours into CS:GO and other games on Steam. *(If you get banned than all of those house are negated to your Trust Factor.)*

If you're like me than that game can not be CS:GO because you get reported faster than hours in it better your trust.

I recommend playing games such as Rainbow Six, Garry's Mod, PlayerUnknown's, Warframe, etc. if you're into First Person games.

- Phone Number

If you have not already, than linking your phone-number to your CSGO Account will improve your over-all Trust Factor.

- Player Rank

Your Player Rank is also another way to improve your Trust Factor.
(5000 EXP Earned = 1 Rank) / (40 Ranks = Service Medal)
Get EXP by just playing and completing matches on official CS:GO servers.
THESE DO NOT IMPROVE TRUST FACTOR!!!
- Commends.

It's widely spread that commends improve trust factor.
I went out and got over 200 commends of each stat.
It did not improve my trust factor.

This may have originally improved trust factor but now that commend bots are so easy to get and use that Valve has clearly removed the feature.

((This can appear to improve Trust Factor due to the time you spend on CS:GO getting commends!!!))

- Owning Other Games.

Valve doesn't care how many games you own.
You have to play them. This isn't helpful.

- Steam Level.

Check my steam level...
Improving the Steam level did not improve my trust-factor enough to make a different if it did at all.

- Having a high dollar value account.

Prices of things are determined by the community.
Valve doesn't care what you have in your inventory.
They don't calculate it because they literally can't.

Prices are posted and changed by the community. Valve doesn't screw with that.
This can reduce reports if you're legit, and help maintain good trust by reducing reports..

- Making a guide / rating one.

"Hey! This helps! Rate my gui-" Just kidding, I don't care. I'm not going to lie to you.
This isn't helpful. Don't waste your time writing a guide or rating mine.
It won't improve your trust factor.

Anyone who says it does is either uneducated or baiting rates and awards (for Steam Points).

- Buying Prime

Again - Useless. If you don't want prime, buying it will not boost your trust factor.
But it will lessen the chances that you're going to be in a game with a cheater simply by being in prime.
(If you're in high-trust nonprime and do not find cheaters... You will find more in prime.)

Trust Factor is a mix of Hours/Wins/Reports. Nothing else appears to affect it a multitude of times.
Things that negatively impact your Trust Factor. (Mostly Speculated)
- Player Reports.
(Confirmed)
This is the main reason that my Trust Factor keeps dropping.

- Account Bans
(Confirmed)
Obviously having cheated on other games or being banned in general doesn't show well.

- Team Damage/Killing
Obviously shooting your team-mates isn't usually intention for most players but sometimes it is.
Thus, it has a minor

- CS Hours
A small amount of hours on CS usually indicates a new account and likely a smurf.
Hence: Provided with a low-trust factor.

- Abandoning Matches
Obviously leaving your team alone isn't a great show of faith.

- Being Kicked
If your team keeps voting to kick you off than it's not likely to show well on your person.
Reset your Trust Factor (Takes 45+ Days)
August 2023 Update!

If your trust factor is REALLY BAD...
You can reset your trust factor in a few steps.
1 - Don't launch CS:GO for 46 days on the account. (After this, your data is deleted)
2 - Play 3-5 casual games with no reports. (Sets baseline for trust factor)
3 - Don't play for 6 hours while valve (Let's valve calculate your trust factor)
4 - Play 3-5 casual games with no reports. (Solidifies Calculations)
5 - Don't play for 6 hours.

Then you don't get reported and you're clearly active in other Steam games.
Only 750 hours on CS:GO and around 350 in other steam games.

Other account bans don't mean anything. There isn't a system to link the two.
I recently had one of my accounts hijacked a month ago and VAC Banned 4 days ago, my trust is still the same on all my smurfs as it was pre-ban.

Indirectly it helps keep your Trust Factor up by removing a percentage of reports because some people will go to your profile and say "Huh, I think he's legit because of this [X}."

And then will not report you.

But it does not directly improve Trust Factor.
