Is the use of those powers- as a guardian- worth wearing robes instead? I'm not going to switch to them at this point either way, I'd just like to know in the event I make another character where it matters (which I probably will due to Carth's quest getting bugged).
Healing in combat is most efficient when you have lots of Defense (as then you can outpace the rate you continue to take damage while healing by a much wider margin), and if you have good damage-dealing potential. Thus an 8/12 Scoundrel/Consular who saves SP for Treat Injury after making Jedi and doesn't waste many on Stealth/Security/Awareness can be extremely powerful in combat: easily beating any Soldier/Guardian.
Scoundrel gains DEFENSE bonus instead of Attack bonus with level-up's, and the Jedi classes gain both BDB and BAB with each level-up.
Also, I was of the understanding that Scoundrel's Luck is nullified/removed when you go Jedi. although Sneak Attack is definitely not. So, because of this, that BDB levels up at Level 6 for Scoundrels (all classes gain BDB at levels 6 and 12), and that Scoundrel gets a Feat at level 8, there is much justification for an 8/12 Scoundrel/Consular split- as Consulars still get plenty of FP and Powers to work with, and this allows you to get a lot more Skill Points.
ALSO Kotor1 has a weird script error you DON'T need dual weapon feat for STAFF/"2handed" weapons ie it takes up both hands not a weapon in each hand
WHICH makes up for your minus feats OF 3! for the class if you go for a double bladed light saber (the lack of crystal bonus is made up for with pure dark side and sneak attack damage)
