The Ribeyrolles 1918 was an attempt to manufacture an automatic rifle for the French forces. It was chambered in the experimental 8×35 mm round, used straight blowback, was fed from a 25 round magazine and had an effective range of 400m. The cartridge, arguably the first purpose-built intermediate cartridge, was obtained by necking it down the .351 Winchester Self-Loading. Another source indicates that it was chambered in a cartridge designated 8×32 mmSR.

Its official name was Carabine Mitrailleuse 1918 (Machine Carbine 1918 in English); in a 2007 book it appears as "fusil automatique Ribeyrolles 1918" (automatic rifle Ribeyrolles 1918). The Ribeyrolles had the distinction of being fitted with a lightweight bipod on the front (which would be meant to be used as a support weapon for a group of soldiers) and a rifle bayonet identical to that of Berthier Model 1907/15.

No examples are known to have survived today.

并且当时法国的整体军事思想依然受到一战的堑壕战的影响，而这种武器的出现对于当时法国有限的军事思想来说实在过于超前了，法军只想将新出现的武器归类到传统武器的行列，以当时法国的军事理论来看，步枪追求的都是高精度并且至少800米及以上的有效射程，可是利贝罗勒1918使用的是8mm的中间型弹药，有效射程只有400米，可是当做冲锋枪来用的话，利贝罗勒1918的重量足足有5.1kg，作为抵肩射击的武器来说还是太重了，所以无论是以步枪还是冲锋枪的眼光来看，利贝罗勒1918实在是有点高不成低不就，而且利贝罗勒1918还安装了两脚架，可见得该武器还是受到当时的军事理论影响，而是作为一种火力支援+行进射击堑壕战的机关步枪来设计的，就类似于绍沙M1915和BAR那种的机枪+步枪的结合体，可是即使是把利贝罗勒1918当做机关步枪，它的射程还是太短了，根本比不上当时世界上的各种机关步枪的有效射程。

而且为了减轻后勤负担，法军当时是尽量追求步枪和机枪的弹药通用，如果要生产这种新型弹药就得再开一条全新的弹药生产线，但这就大大增加了后勤的负担，这也是法军无法接受的一点。利贝罗勒1918可谓是一个生不逢时的早产儿，它的战术定位实在过于超前于时代，而无法被当时传统的军事战术理论所接受，如果法军真的采用了这种武器，这对于法军来说是一个巨大的军事进步，这对法军来说实在是一个巨大的遗憾与损失。

Yeah this guy thinks he's special. He used a hex editor to modify all his files so they can't be decompiled or edited. Unless you jsut undo his nonsense, lmao.

Get a hex editor like HxD
For the mdl files, swap 00-0B on the first line with: 49 44 53 54 31 00 00 00 FC 6F ED C2
for the vtx files, swap the first two lines of the hex code with:
07 00 00 00 18 00 00 00 35 00 09 00 03 00 00 00 FC 6F ED C2 01 00 00 00 E1 0F 03 00 01 00 00 00

For the VTF, Swap the Q on the first line for an uppercase P

there. Now you reversed the the goody ah "protection" this guy used.
