100% walkthrough with achievements - Infliction

Text guide to obtain all achievements in order and walkthrough for the game.

Info / Controls

Search the guide with [Ctrl] + [F].

I know most are aware of this but just in case someone isn't.

Turn lights off when leaving a room.

If the ghost walks in a room with the light on she will break it & you won't be able to use that switch again. i.e. If you want to banish her with it later.

Lights banish the ghost

Ghost can be banished if they are under a light when you turn it on.
This includes your camera flash, but will temporarily disable the camera.

"Death"

If you're attacked, you wake up in the last location you woke up.

Hide from the ghost.

[E] to go under some beds.
[Ctrl] crouch behind objects.
Use one of the rooms & close the door.

Items

Items flashing or show an eye icon when moused over need to be interacted with in some way.
[E] and [L.click] allow you to pick up items, use doors, take items with you & hide under beds.
[R.click] & Hold to zoom in for closer inspection. Required to trigger some scenes.
Sometimes you need to do both, pick up & zoom in.

Flashlight

[F] turns the flashlight off/on. Has no bearing on if the spirit see's you.

Camera

[C] enables camera mode.
Photos will reveal hidden clues and contains unlimited film.
If you see camera film it's to remind you you should try using your camera.

Start in the Garage.

Pick up the Flashlight [E]
Turn on [F]
Walk around the car & out the door.
Walk around the outside of the house to the sliding door.

Kitchen wall, inspect puppy photo on the wall. (1 of 28 memories)

Kitchen refrigerator, inspect Maggie's drawing. (2 of 28 memories)

Living Room, Turn the TV on and let the show run for a moment.
[Master chef]


Inspect the VHS labeled, Behind the Black Veil on shelf. (3 of 28 memories)

Hall in drawer to right of phone, inspect Maggie's birth certificate. (4 of 28 memories)

Drawer below phone, inspect Watch. (5 of 28 memories)

Open the double doors at the end of the hall.
Den is to the right.
Inspect the wedding photo above the fireplace. (6 of 28 memories)

Upstairs, Baby room in top drawer, inspect The Only Unicorn storybook. (7 of 28 memories)
[Getting to know you]

*Note from Muckelchen.
instead I got it after collecting the last memory, so I got it together with "I remember".

Upstairs, Master bedroom (right of the stairs).
Open jewelry box on dresser & inspect engagement ring. (8 of 28 memories).
Code for the door is on back of the business card on the nightstand.

Go to the end of the hall.
Unlock the door with the code 0516.
Near the printer pick up the plane ticket.
Walk to the door and it will shut.
When it opens exit to the garage and get in the car.

Wake up in the office.

New Objective: Find a way to vanquish the spirit.

Go to the kitchen and walk towards the radio until it turns on.
Turn around and go into the left bedroom which will be open.
Inspect composition book on the night stand. - Diary for 1999. (9 of 28 memories)

Door will shut, when it opens go towards garage.
Remove the sheet on the mirror against the wall.
Inspect (zoom into) the top of the mirror.

Go down into the basement.
Move the boxes on the right to walk to the back.
On the right wall look closely at the hole in the wall.
[Inner demon or outer demon?]


Inspect the occult book on the back table, make sure to turn to last page.

New Objective: Leave the basement

You will get attacked.

Wake up in the office.

Head to the master bedroom.
Top right drawer of the dresser, inspect composition book. - Diary for 1990 (10 of 28 memories)

Head downstairs.
Inspect the medication in the hall. (11 of 28 memories)

Keep walking up the hall.

An event will trigger as you're walking past the wall scribble. Curiosity Killed or Unlucky for some will appear briefly on the left double door. Remember which as that's the door you will need ahead and for the achievement and you can only fail once and still get it.

Pick up the camera that will be on your right.

At the dead end use the camera to take a photo of the center of the wall.
Pick up the key & unlock the left door.

In the orange hall inspect the beer cans. (12 of 28 memories)
[Inner demons]


Between the 2 beer littered counters is a door that is cracked open.
You will hear a thud as you pass.
Turn around and take a photo of the crack. (1 of 4 Supernatural Investigator)

Depending which message you saw in the hallway earlier.
Curiosity Killed = Door 9.
Unlucky for some = Door 13.

[Down the rabbit hole]


You will be attacked.

Wake up in the Hall.

New objective: Find some of her remains.

Inspect the Alcoholism pamphlet on the floor by the cabinet. (13 of 28 memories)

Head to the kitchen.
Take the tooth on the table.
You will be attacked.

Wake up in the basement. (It's 1986)

New objective: Find a photo of the deceased.

Go upstairs to the master bedroom.
Pickup & inspect the baby monitor on the dresser.
Now you're in the baby room.
Take the photo on the dresser.

Objective updated. Find the rest of the photo.

Open the door, click the recorder on the table. (14 of 28 memories)

Walk to the vending machine click the buttons.
[These pretzels are making me thirsty]


Go into the 'Robbery Homicide' door to your left.
Take the key card in back right of the room by the radio.

On your way out press the elevator button. You can watch or walk away.
[Third floor: Butchery]


Walk back to where you started.
Click the card swipe on the right of 'Line Up'.
Go in and take a photo facing the glass. (2 of 4 Supernatural Investigator)
[Turn to your left]


Head to the vending machine and click the card swipe to your right.
Take the photo piece by the monitor.

Back in the baby's room.

Go downstairs in the hallway.
Last drawer inspect death certificate. (15 of 28 memories)
First drawer below phone, inspect the Grief & Loss pamphlet. (16 of 28 memories)

Go into the downstairs bedroom (beside the kitchen).
Inspect the composition book on the floor by the bed. - Diary for June 1986 (17 of 28 memories)

Go to the Den.
Take the photo piece above the fireplace.
Open the right door.

You'll be attacked.

Wake up in the bathroom.

New objective: Find clothing worn in the eyes of God.

Head to the master bedroom.
Inspect the composition book on the night stand. - Diary for January 1986 (18 of 28 memories)

Go to the downstairs hall.
Inspect Michael's birth certificate on the counter by the phone. (19 of 28 memories)

I agree with Nikki that the downstairs hallway is nice as it gives you ample time to react.

So.
Head to the kitchen.

Nikki explains that she will spawn at 4 minutes. I opened all the doors in the hall and turned off all lights. Stood in the kitchen doorway angled my view closer to the light switch & waited.

As Nikki explained in her video, I heard the radio crackle and saw the static on the screen. She appeared in the living room and seemed to be stuck on the door frame. I stepped left just a hair to get her attention and clicked the switch and watched her dissipate.

Into the painting.

Inspect the painting in the hall opposite the phone.

Walk to the tree in the center.
[Satanic gesture]


Walk into the house.

On the floor in front of the table inspect Sarah's letter. (20 of 28 memories)
In the typewriter, inspect Sarah's letter. (21 of 28 memories)

Walk to the back right corner and take a photo of the door in the floor.
Now drop into it.

Inspect Sarah's tape on the shelf in front of you. (22 of 28 memories)

Walk to the back and exit through the above cellar doors & head to the well.

*Note for Supernatural Investigator achievement. Untested by me, but another player commented.
When you walk out, turn back to the cabin and snap a photo for Supernatural Investigator

Supernatural investigator: In fact I got it already at the well; just after leaving the cabin from basement I turned around and took a picture of the ghost in the cabins windows. Then my 4. picture of ghosts becamethe well-one and here the achievement popped up.

^ So this could be your 3 of 4 Supernatural Investigator and below before going into the well snap your 4th and final photo.

Stop in front of the well and look down. Take a photo. (3 of 4 Supernatural Investigator)

Jump in!

Fall out in the upstairs hall.

If you missed it,
Diary for January 1986 (18 of 28 memories) is still available in the master bedroom.

If not,
Walk ahead & go into the attic. In back take the wedding veil.
You'll be attacked.

Wake up in Maggie's room.

New objective: Find an object of ancestral sentimentality.

Inspect the composition book on the nightstand. - Maggie's Diary (24 of 28 memories)

Walk into the hall and towards the crying man.

Welcome to the asylum.

Walk to the end of the hall.
Take a photo of the cracked opened door that says Stairs. (4 of 4) [Supernatural Investigator]

I tried getting "Supernatural Investigator" at the well, just like the comment suggested. And it didn't work even though I got the other pics before that one. The achievement popped in the asylum. So I guess you can remove that part before the well.

Back to the first double door on your right.
Click to slide the boxes out of your way.
Slide down the chute. Press [E]

This baddie ahead seems to be in a different location each time I went down. Regardless of his location he always walks to the front room where you drop in. And to your right is the room with the button next to the window to close the metal gate and trap him in there.

[Confronting your demons]


Three places I saw him.

• If you stand next to the door and wait for Clive to walk in you can run in & right into the door & press the button.
  
  
• When he's in the back of the room, run straight across to the opposite side of the room. Wait for him to walk by then continue to the room & press the button.
  
  
• I ran by him while he was at the first table. When I did I dropped down the chute and he was there, I immediately walked into the room with the button while he was walked out into the front room.

After he is trapped.

Head across through the next door and take a left.
Flip the switch to power the elevator.
Go back to the opposite end of the hall.
Open the elevator and press the lever.

Back in your hallway. It's red outside.

Turn left toward the kitchen.

DON'T walk past the counter or you'll be transported too quick.

Inspect Maggie's letter on the counter. (25 of 28 memories)

Now walk past the counter.

Back at the asylum. [Roll on Two]

As soon as you appear in the asylum, turn around and head down the hall.
4th door (double door) on your left.
Immediate right through next door. (You will have to click to open it.)
Flip the first switch as soon as you're in reach.
Watch the red lights. When the 5th one lights up hit the 2nd switch.
[Roll on Two]


Leave to the left & you'll see Dr. Tanas office on your right.
Click the recording on the desk. - Sarah's tape 1996 (26 of 28 memories)

Take a photo of the statue on the wall.
Turn the cylinders to match the photo.

Head down the hall.
Left into the next doorway.
Click to move the boxes.
Walk into into the satanic circle.

Back in your basement.

Head to the Foyer.
On the cabinet, inspect the composition book. - Diary for 1996 (27 of 28 memories)

Start walking upstairs.

Reception.

Walk through the gate and into the Staff Office.
Click the painting on the wall to reveal the safe.
Code is in the top desk drawer. 10 Left - 50 Right - 5 Left
Take the pendant.

Transported back back in your office.

You'll be attacked.

Wake up in the office.

New objective: Burn the items.

You need a candle or a lighter.
Not sure what triggers the room changes, but here are where I found them.

• Kitchen: Looks normal. Candle in the kitchen on the corner of the china cabinet.
  
• Kitchen: Looks normal. Lighter in the 2nd kitchen drawer (closer to radio).
  
• Living Room: Arm on stretcher with the face in monitors. Lighter both on the top and bottom areas inside the cabinet to the right
  
• Living Room: Arm on stretcher with the face in monitors. Candle in the left corner on a table.
  
• Living Room: Teddy bear on stretcher. Candle inside a stroller on the back wall.
  Downstairs bedroom: Crosses hanging from ceiling. Candle on the dresser.
  
• Laundry Room: Bloody bathtub. Candle on the edge of the tub.
  
• Den: Tree in center with a crib and baby music playing. Candle by the window.

After you burn the items.



New objective: Return to the scene of the crime.

Visit the Den & inspect the composition book on the floor by the wall. - Diary for 1999 (28 of 28 memories)



Head to the upstairs office. Or anywhere you have a working light switch really.
Be sure the lights off so you can use it.
Stand in the doorway & wait.
Once possessed flip the light switch on.
[Evil, dead]


Now walk to the blood splatter to sprinkle the ashes. [E]

... should be done in the office upstairs. Since you mentioned when you are possessed you can move into any room and flick the light switch which I did but I was waiting for the blood where I could scatter the ashes (maybe it's only me being stupid just thought I'd point it out)

New objective: Leave this place.

Head to the living room.
Turn the TV on and watch Massimo one last time.

Head to the kitchen to go out to the basement.
Walk to the end of the hall.
Through the double door, go to the back left set of double doors.
Walk in.

For the "Riddle me this" part, scribbled on the wall was Deadly Sins, being the answer door number 7.

Thank you very much for the wonderful guide! I got everything with no problems. I got "Supernatural Investigator" with the Well snapshot and also didn't get the "Getting to know you" achievement until I got it with "I remember"

I would also like to point out with the "Down the rabbit hole" achievement that there is actually a third message: Deadly Sins, which is Door 7 to refer to the 7 Deadly Sins. And as azzy mentioned, you can take a photo of the door you suspect to see a visual clue to see if you're correct.

Hii! Thank you so much for the guide! I had trouble with the "down the rabbit hole" achievement and idk is some people are struggeling with it as well, but before opening the door (door 9 or door 13) take a picture of it (the awnser to the riddle will be on it) and then enter the hall.

Hi Hamakei.
I haven't played this game since 2019 so I couldn't tell you where you went wrong. I can only offer that I followed my guide on a 2nd playthrough before publishing and did not run into any problems.

There is a chance others who recently replied here, having played recently, may be able to provide some suggestion. May also be worthy to post in the steam discussion where more recent players would see it who may be going there with their own questions.

Hello. Can't progress beyond "Back in the baby's room."

It says to go to the den, but the doorway is blocked by a table. I've done everything else and just keep getting attacked when I walk around. What am I missing?
