Corpse Party PC Graphics and Voice Mod

For a long time, people have been complaining about the art style of the Vanilla game, with hopes that a mod would be made to fix issues that fans of Corpse Party had with the original 2008 art style. Today, I would like to present that mod.

What does this mean?

As you may have seen by the title, this is a chance for fans of Corpse Party to experience the PC version with graphics and voice acting present in the PSP/3DS/iOS versions of the game. In the link that's mentioned in this guide is a forum post, made by me, explaining how to download the mod.

This is just for anyone who is having trouble with installation of the mod. You may find that you have done everything correctly, but it doesn't work. when the mod gets extracted into the games folder, there should be a folder called "Corpse Party - Graphics and Voice Mod". This is because the installer just created a folder with the mod in it and added it into the directory instead of actually applying it.

To fix this, simply drag out the "Corpse Party - Graphics and Voice Mod" folder onto your desktop (or somewhere else), open the folder and drag all it's contents into the main game directory folder and click "Replace all". (Maybe re-drag in the Chapter 5 patch too just in case)


Art and Voice Acting presented in this mod is not owned by me, it is therefore owned by 5pb. or MAGES.
If there are any problems with me posting the mod to Steam, please tell me straight away, and I will remove the guide from Steam and, if necessary, remove the mod from the Heavenly Host Forums.

This explains a lot I was confused when I started playing the game today cause I didn't recognize the art style(Watched LPs in the past that had the updated art)

I don't have the 2021 version & don't really plan to get it(need to save money) so I'm glad to find this cause I wasn't aware the art wasn't the same as in the LPs I saw in the past(If I did notice anything it was a few years back when I got this & I didn't think anything on it)

As of October of 2021, this guide and mod is now obsolete, for those of you that had issues installing the mod, I apologize greatly. In light of this though, I highly encourage people who want to use the mod to purchase Corpse Party (2021). It does everything that this mod hoped to do and more. Thank you guys so much for the support.

Do keep in mind about this though, any comments asking for help with the mod will be ignored from this point onward. If you need help with the mod, contacting me is no longer an option. Please either consult someone else who got the mod to work, or just play Corpse Party (2021).

I can confirm to you that this patch has no viruses or anything of the sort. Just files to replace the game sprites and voices.

Is downloading this safe? Has there been any malware with this? Sorry for asking, I'm just really paranoid about downloading it bc windows is like "oh are you sure you want to make changes to your computer from an unknown publisher?". I really want to use this mod but i'm just paranoid

Gonna answer this question right now before it gets asked a million times, no. Using this patch/mod does not disable achievements, I have tested the mod years ago to get achievements, and it works like how it would in Vanilla.

you guy's think they will ever do a remake or an update and fix all this stuff(adding the cg vid and pics etc.... ?
.... judging by corpse party 2 only having chapter 1 it's safe to say that won't happen in a very long time ;(

Hmm. I installed all the files correctly. The voice is added and the character icons changed. But there is one problem with character sprites that don't come up during text. I'm in 2nd chapter and so far character sprites appeared like 3 times.
