Intro & Disclaimer
With help from the community, I finally have enough information to construct a guide detailing exactly how to obtain each of Evelia Lyric's 26 costumes.

I'd like to give a big thank you to the Devespresso Team for their work bringing the Icenaire setting to life. As it relates to this guide, special appreciation is certainly due to Minho for the outstanding artwork and costume design.

This early guide is mostly complete except for the neutral ending section, but please comment or private message if anything turns out to be inaccurate or confusing. Things may change as the developers release new updates.
Warnings
Several costumes are dependent on quest choices and are therefore mutually exclusive.
Acquiring all 26 costumes is not possible in a single playthrough.

Once a costume is obtained, it is unlocked account wide for all new and existing save files.

WARNING! Most quests are chapter locked and will fail if you continue too far in the story.

New chapters typically start when you enter a new district.
**I highly recommend that you return back to town each time a new chapter begins in order to pick up quests.**

Completing the Chapter 4 boss area (after 5 Industrial District paths) is a point of no return.
Completing the Chapter 6 boss area still allows exploration after.

SPOILERS : Wardrobe Gallery[imgur.com]

These images don't quite do all the costumes justice.

Many costumes have uniquely designed weapons. For example...
- Dwarven and Valkyrie armors have an axe or hatchet attachment on the crossbow.
- Sylvani costumes have elvish bows.
- Carbon Suit has a pistol
- Catsuit has no crossbow, but Lyric shoots projectiles from her wrist.
- and much more.

Also, many costumes have unique facial expressions during dialogue.
Laughing Gas is the most dramatic, but the Catsuit has one that shows vampiric teeth[imgur.com].
Here's one example[imgur.com] from the Queen's Regalia.

Switch around your outfits both in the field and in town. There are a lot of details to discover!
Ch.1 - Edeni Garb (#1)
Starter Gear
Ch.1 - Civvies (#2)
Starter Gear
Ch.2 - Carbon Suit (#24)
Inside the Chapter 2 boss area, there is a chest marked with a "?". Opening this chest unlocks the Carbon Suit.
Ch.2 - Wrathveil (#3)
Mutually Exclusive with Asadali Garb

After completing the Chapter 2 boss, immediately give the Oksae to Gerrard at the Ghost Bazaar.

A parcel with the Wrathveil outfit is then sent to your room at the Lost Lady Inn.
Ch.2 - Asadali Garb (#4)
Mutually Exclusive with Wrathveil

After completing the Chapter 2 boss, give the Oksae to Maru Han at the Foxier Market.

A parcel with the Asadali Garb is then sent to your room at the Lost Lady Inn.
Ch.2 - The Tantini (#5)
Affects the outcome of the Chapter 6 quest "To the Rescue".

After completing the Chapter 2 boss, pick up the "Snare of the Naziri" quest from Charlotte Lorelai at the Lost Lady Inn.

Always be direct and tell the truth to both Narae Song & Sitara or this quest will likely fail.

Once you receive Sitara's gift, you have the option to...
  1. Open it privately in your room. (This will unlock the Tantini costume.)
  2. Bring it to Charlotte.
If you bring the Tantini to Charlotte, you can...
  1. Keep it for yourself.
  2. Give it to Charlotte. (In Chapter 6, this will affect Charlotte's fate positively.)
SPOILER: Charlotte will only survive the Ch.6 quest "To the Rescue" if she has the legendary protection of the Tantini.
Ch.2 - Columbo (#6)
After completing the Chapter 2 boss, witness the altercation in the Dalearch Ascending Room and talk to Volsung there.

Go to sleep at the Inn. Helga should then point you towards Hilda, who is found in the Shanty Town.

Choose Hilda's top dialogue option, "Mention her altercation with Hakon in the Ascending Room".
This should start the private detective quest "Foul Play."
  1. Question the drifter near the recruiting boards.
  2. Question the prostitute at the Lost Lady Inn.
  3. Question the dwarf at the entrance to Argrim Manor.
  4. Return to Hilda. To unlock the Columbo costume, you must accuse the correct suspect.
    Solution: The Dwarf
Ch.3 - Valkyrie Armor (#9)
In Chapter 3, go to the Lost Lady Inn and talk to Helga. This will start the quest "Family Heirloom".

**This quest will fail if not completed before defeating the Chapter 3 shade boss.**
Completion of this quest will positively affect the outcome of the Chapter 6 quest "To The Rescue".

Visit Helga's old house in the Southern Residential District. The door to her house is located inside the "Washer Street" roguelike instance. Look for a secret "?" door in the final exit room, and talk to the man inside. Images[imgur.com]

Next, head to Shanty Town in Dalearch and find the man with information about Helga's armor. You will have to feed him to get him to talk. Pick up some stew from the woman cooking on the path to Hilda's room.

To unlock the Valkyrie Armor, return to Helga at the Lost Lady Inn.
Ch.3 - Phantom Thief Suit (#10)
In Chapter 3, go to the Foxier Market and talk to Mahoram. This will start the quest "Below the Belt".

**This quest will fail if not completed before defeating the Chapter 3 shade boss.**
Completion of this quest will positively affect the outcome of the Chapter 6 quest "To The Rescue".

In the Residential District, find Columbo. He will be behind a secret "?" door in the final exit room of the "Facility Street" roguelike instance. Images[imgur.com]

Next, find Robin at the upper floor of the Hydra Lounge[imgur.com] in the northwestern Entertainment District.

Not necessary for the costume, but there is also a 5 fight gladiator encounter in the Hydra Lounge. The fights must be completed in one continuous try, so you only have one chance to win once you start. The reward for winning is the Champion's Belt Relic (+1 Combat, +1 Awareness, +8 Health, Lyric only)

Return to Mahoram in the Foxier Market to unlock the Phantom Thief Suit.
Ch.3 - Dwarven Armor (#7)
Mutually Exclusive with Revolutionary Raiment

After completing the Chapter 3 boss, bring the prisoner back to Dalearch.

To unlock the Dwarven Armor, report back to Hakon and Prince Gunnar in Argrim Manor.
Ch.3 - Revolutionary Raiment (#8)
Mutually Exclusive with Dwarven Armor

After completing the Chapter 3 boss, leave the prisoner in the tower.

To unlock the Revolutionary Raiment, report back to Hilda in Dalearch Shanty Town.
Ch.3 - Green Riding Hood (#13)
After completing the Chapter 3 boss, follow the story until it takes you to Sylvani Healing Hall.
While there, find Nerevere. He will initiate the quest "Ill at Ease".
**It is best to do this quest before traveling to the Industrial District. Chapter 4 starts when you enter the Industrial District.**

First, visit Balthasar in the Archives, and find his book on the downstairs table.
Next, acquire Shadow Humours. Find Maru Han in the Foxier Market. He is now standing by Mahoram.
  • If you gave Maru Han the Oksae, he gives you the Shadow Humours for free.
  • If you gave Gerrard the Oksae, Maru Han will demand an unreasonable price for the Shadow Humours. You will have to make a trip to the Ghost Bazaar ("Revisit Manduk" boss area) to obtain a bottle from Gerrard.
Finally, head back to Nerevere to unlock the Green Riding Hood costume.
Ch.3 - Catsuit (#14)
After completing the Chapter 3 boss, Narae Song will give the quest "What the Cat Dragged In" at the Foxier Market.

For clues, first talk to the foxiers in the same room as Mahoram.
Next, find a male dwarf in the Lost Lady Inn.
Then, head to Shanty Town.
Ch.4 - Polar Bear Suit (#26)
Can be obtained in either Chapter 4 or Chapter 6

The Polar Bear Suit is located at the top of the Industrial District statue. Map[imgur.com]
Keep moving on the path to the east of the orphanage.
Ch.4 - Voltek Maker Suit (#11)
Mutually Exclusive with Celestine Armor

Quest Decision in Chapter 4 / Reward in Chapter 5

In Chapter 4, follow Scrappy the Golem in the Industrial District until he brings you to another golem with a white face and red eyes.

**Be careful with dialogue button presses here.**
Choose "Use the Adamant Heart" to follow Volsung's wishes.

In Chapter 5, find Volsung next to the forge to receive the Voltek Maker Suit.
Ch.4 - Celestine Armor (#12)
Mutually Exclusive with Voltek Maker Suit

Quest Decision in Chapter 4 / Reward in Chapter 6

In Chapter 4, follow Scrappy the Golem in the Industrial District until he brings you to another golem with a white face and red eyes.

**Be careful with dialogue button presses here.**
Choose "Refuse to use the Adamant Heart" to follow Talindra's wishes.

In Chapter 6, pick up the Celestine Armor at the Sylvani Healing Hall from the group of Celestines near the tree.
Ch.6 - Sylvani Warden Vestments (#17)
In Chapter 6, keep vigil with Divinia, and afterwards, she should grant you a Mysterious Seed.
This seed will unlock the Sylvani Warden Vestments.
Ch.6 - Sailor Lunera (#25)
In Chapter 6, go to the basement of the Archives (Library).
There is now a door to the left leading to the Smith Backyard.

The Sailor Lunera costume is in a chest on the far left of the Smith Backyard screen.
Ch.6 - Laughing Gas (#22)
In Chapter 6, the Laughing Gas costume is found on the Temple District overworld map[imgur.com].
Ch.6 - Ghost Vigilante Uniform (#23)
In Chapter 6, head to the northwestern part of the Temple District[imgur.com].

The Ghost Vigilante Uniform is in a faint "?" chest hidden with the Devespresso achievement.
Pick up the 10 Coffee Elixirs while chatting with the dev team.
Ch.6 - Guardian Cuirass (#15)

If you do spare that person, talk to Celest afterwards to unlock the Guardian Cuirass.
Ch.6 - Assassin's Bodysuit (#16)

If you decide to ignore Celest's request, talk to Sitara afterwards to unlock the Assassin's Bodysuit.
Sitara is located in the same area as Zaquard.
Ch.6 - Naziri Inquisitor Vestments (#18)
After completing the Chapter 6 boss area, encounter Mithra to the right of the "Revisit Norton" Ascending Room. This will start the quest "The Best Defense".

This quest sends you to two locations.
  1. The Residential District Sewer[imgur.com]
  2. The Industrial District Orphanage[imgur.com] (larger red circle)
Mithra will give you the Naziri Inquisitor Vestments after both objectives are cleared.
Ch.7 - Augur Gear (#19)
Unlocked with the Light Ending : See Endings section below for tips
Ch.7 - Queen's Regalia (#20)
Unlocked with the Dark Ending : See Endings section below for tips
Ch.7 - Hero's Garb (#21)
Unlocked with the Neutral Ending : See Endings section below for tips
Endings
I will try to minimize spoilers, but read at your own risk. The information in this section is somewhat speculative, so judge for yourself and don't take everything as pure fact.

In the New Game+ chapter select screen, there are 3 statues that can be selected, each representing one of the 3 endings. Once selected, the text gives clues for how to achieve that particular ending.

The left statue for the light ending says... At the final confrontation, "I stood my ground."
The middle statue for the dark ending says... At the final confrontation, "I felt a strange kinship."
The right statue for the neutral ending says... At the final confrontation, "I was paralyzed by fear."

While not the only determinant for the endings, the most substantial contributors to the endings are the dialogue options you choose when discussing your dreams.

In Chapter 3, Talindra speaks to you about your dreams.

You have a choice of 3 options.
- 1. A dream of peace : SPOILER - Talindra Light Dialogue[imgur.com]
- 2. A dream of rebirth : SPOILER - Talindra Dark Dialogue[imgur.com]
- 3. A dream of death

In Chapter 6, Mithra speaks to you about your dreams.

You also have 3 options here.
- 1. I was trapped with a hostile being : SPOILER - Mithra Light Dialogue[imgur.com] (stood my ground)
- 2. I was trapped with a familiar being : SPOILER - Mithra Dark Dialogue[imgur.com] (kinship)
- 3. I was trapped with a frightful being

In Chapter 7, a mysterious woman asks what you want.

Again you have 3 options.
- 1. To bring justice to this realm : SPOILER - Justice Dialogue[imgur.com]
- 2. To start a revolution
- 3. To make my own destiny

In each conversation, option #1 is light, option #2 is dark, option #3 is neutral.
I've documented the dialogue for the light options in the images above.
I will provide images for the dark options soon.

I have done a playthrough where I chose 1 light, 1 dark, & 1 neutral option for a neutral ending.
Others in the community have reported that 2 light options and 1 neutral can still get a light ending.

Choosing all 3 light options can still result in a neutral ending depending on your gameplay choices. For example, the prisoner in Chapter 3, and the boss in Chapter 6.
Be good in these situtations if you want the light ending, be evil if you want the dark ending.

The Oksae and Adamant Heart choices likely do not impact how light or dark the ending is.
You can rescue everyone in Chapter 6 and still get the dark ending.
TL;DR Endings
Light:
Ch.3 - Talindra conversation = Peace
Ch.3 - Save King
Ch.6 - Mithra conversation = Hostile Being
Ch.6 - Spare Traitor
Ch.7 - ??? conversation = Justice

Dark:
Ch.3 - Talindra conversation = Rebirth
Ch.3 - Leave King
Ch.6 - Mithra conversation = Familiar Being
Ch.6 - Kill Traitor
Ch.7 - ??? conversation = Revolution

Neutral: (More flexible with choices)
Ch.3 - Talindra conversation = Death
Ch.3 - Save or Leave King
Ch.6 - Mithra conversation = Frightful Being
Ch.6 - Kill or Spare Traitor
Ch.7 - ??? conversation = Make my own Destiny

I read the ending of this guide to late. I only did "light" actions through out the game, but my answers to the major questions asked where sadly all "dark", and I ended up with the "dark" ending; so my guess is the ending is purely based around the conversation choices, not actual game play

@Stormo
Good to know.
Problem is, Tantini is a useless item, so why would you need it besides achievement - i doubt anyone willingly choose it. Unless a stream-challenge of sorts.

Somehow, I managed to both acquire the Tantini *and* give it to Charlotte. If you visit your room with the Tantini in your inventory, an automatic dialogue will play and the outfit will unlock. If you then promptly Alt-F4 out of the game, the game loads from the last moment you slept. You can then gift the Tantini to Charlotte and continue the game with it unlocked and (presumably) Charlotte gaining its protection in chapter 6, I don't know I'm not that far yet.

Wow that's a lot of content. I like this.
This is what I'm talking about boys. A real man and a gamer works for these waifu costumes instead of paying for them with Earth money.

Tantini's best shit, if you don't like it you can leave~:steamhappy:
MTaur Feb 13, 2020 @ 3:23pm
nvm, that was wrong. It appeared after reloading the save file. I guess the data pipeline has a lag in it.
MTaur Feb 13, 2020 @ 3:17pm
Tantini is weird. Instead of a costume, you get a relic with +1 Merchant, Sleight if you tell Charlotte about it but decide to keep it. I assume you get the costume if you open it in secret as it says above. What it doesn't say above is that "keep it for yourself" refers to the relic and not the costume.

Thank you very much for this guide! :HatHealth:

Great guide! I am not sure what happened, but I unlocked the tantini after giving it to Charlotte.

I’m slightly confused, I’ve already defeated the warden but haven’t started the next dungeon yet, I was still able to get a few costumes that were missable ? Like I actually got the catsuit BEFORE getting the Valkyrie armor. Was it patched or something ? Anyway this was a big help 👍🏻
