Dawn of the Future - Aranea

描述
To celebrate the FFXV: Dawn of the Future novel being released by Square Enix, I decided to make one of the artwork from the Dawn of the Future[i.imgur.com] Novel into a real 3D model that you can use in game for Aranea. I think the original art included within the Dawn of the Future book was meant to be used for the cancelled Episode Aranea DLC, but I'm not sure.

I felt sad that FFXV's development was over, so what better way than to make the dawn of the future into a reality for the game? I hope you enjoy using this model as much as I did making it! Honestly I still feel sad about the DLCs because the stories are awesome, especially Aranea's!
I've tried to put a lot of effort into this model and make it as accurate to the original art work as possible.


The model took about 3 weeks to make and re-uses in-game meshes where possible, all textures on the clothes however are custom and have detailed "roughness" and "normals" maps to ensure they look nice. I spent way too long fixing little issues and glitches on this model to try and get it looking the best I possibly could!

p.s. A big thanks to Steam User PrettyPrompto for helping me do a final play test with Aranea in the imperial base fight and getting the screenshots for that scene.


Update (27th/May/2019):
-Improved boot textures, Improved leg-belt with additional textures and a realistic leather (unpolished, I read the comments).
-Improved quality of eyes by removing Aranea's default Normal map for eyes and adding a custom one.
-Re-rigged buttons on the jacket to be less glitchy.
-Fixed shoulder pads levitating off jacket! Fixed legs clipping through boots!
-Increased roughness map on legs from 1k ->2k.
-Added in detail for Aranea's arms and nails. Matched all skin maps to the same settings.

Thank you. I actually had no idea you can acquire a 5th party member? I didn't know who Aranea is and I installed this mod haha. Thank you! Can't wait to start my adventure :)

[@jaeminPro] When its Installed it will replace Aranea with her "Dawn of the Future" look (this outfit) in ALL parts of the game. To revert back to default Aranea simply Unsubscribe from this mod and she'll look like her default self again :pixelnoct::pixelprompto::pixelignis::pixelgladio: ^-^

Hey, are you still making mods for FFXV? If yes, would you be willing to make a mod that hides Aranea's helmet? Nothing more, I like her outfit, just would prefer it not disturbing in seeing her face :) Is it even possible? I've asked other modders, they said it isn't due to hair physics. But your mod is without any head cover already :)

@[leontrieu] I intend to port this to Comrades(Multi Player) / Avatara (Single Player).
There are some issues I've ran into for now and I am investigating it. I want to do a material update for this model first to get better metals and looks on parts of the outfit :pixelignis:
