Why Orion is superior to Artemis

A summary of the different reasons that yellow man is better than space woman

This guide is completely objective and has no bias whatsoever. What i am stating is complete fact.

Appearance

Orion's character model has a stunning flow to it, and elegant texture to their armour and beautiful shading to round it all off. Furthermore, the glorious golden shade suits Orion's ... suit well, and was a perfect design choice.

Artemis, on the other hand, looks ugly

Skins

Not only does Orion win out in default appearance, but also with the addition of cosmetics. Orion has a diverse range of 6 skins, all of which with their own unique feature and atmosphere, including an epic shovel knight crossover skin, which is probably one of the best shovel knight cross over skins, alongside nix. These range from the noble harbringer Orion to the cartoony Atomic Orion, all of which look absolute quality. Furthermore, Orion sports 2 extra chest exclusive skins, which both look as good as their rarity.

Compare that array of skins to the puny 5 that Artemis has, not even having their own elite skin. These pathetic skins range from the new, yet disastrous Slapshot Artemis, to the simply rubbish eclipse Artemis. Additionally, this awful character only has 1, disappointing, chest exclusive skin to their name.

Lance

A weapon that both characters share is the rocket lance, a weapon hated by many as much as Artemis. So, to make it fair, lets compare the different signatures that each weapon has to offer:

SSig: Indisputably, Orion has the best lance ssig in the game, as it has few start-up frames, relatively high damage and absolutely ludicrous coverage, so much so making it almost impossible to dodge as it covers the entire stage. Compare this huge range to the underwhelming ssig of Artemis, which has a hitbox smaller than the brains of the people that main her, has recovery frames so long that my hamster was born and died by the time Artemis could move again and the damage doesn't compensate for these factors at all

Dsig: Artemis' dsig, although quite effective, is very situational as it will mostly require the enemy to be on the wall, which with the rest of your kit is very hard to do. Orion on the other hand,has a dsig that has hardly any start up frames, and has a big hitbox to cover a large area, with substantial damage. Again, Orion has the better as it is useful in more scenarios.

Nsig: The only redeeming factor of Artemis' kit. Good range which make it very good for spacing, and it makes it much harder to dodge. However, unlike Orion's nsig, you can't combo slight into it. Speaking of orion's nsig, it has quick start up frames and long active frames, which when combos from slight, makes it very hard to escape, and makes spot dodging a death threat. good damage and consistancy.

So basically, Orion has the better lance and Artemis mains are so salty that they have to call all Orion mains spammers, like "just because i chose a better character than you doesn't mean you need to get mad at me when i spam slight-nsig, combos are part of the game"

The other one

What makes these characters so different is their other weapons, spear and scythe (respectively in order of goodness). Orion's spear has a great range of utility, with a wide range of combos and kill potential that rewards both aggressive and passive play. its sigs are well balanced, provide wide coverage with low damage as a payoff. A very solid weapon and worthy of such a great charcter

Artemis however, has scythe. Anyone that uses scythe is just a tryhard trying to get to a higher rank that they deserve, thinking that they are the next sandstorm. Its a cheap way for bad players to climb and feel good about themselves, but as a good friend of mine said "The more crutches you have, the more it'll hurt when they are kicked out from under you".

Overall

As i have just demonstrated, Orion is clearly the better space-lance character...

Scythe Is BS But Lore Wise Artemis is way better. Gameplay Wise Orion's Better. But We all Know Asuri and Brynn Are Really The Best.
