Changing the Begin & End date of the campaign

This guide allow you to change the Begin and End date of the campaign of the game.

Changing the date

1 - Go in the game folder of the game : ...\steamapps\common\ImperatorRome\game\common\defines
2 - Open 00_defines.txt
3 - Edit the following line with your preference date :
START_DATE = "450.10.1"
END_DATE = "727.2.17"
4 - Save & Run the game

Doing this disables achievements.

I made this mod to allow people to continue playing after 727. Because it's crap to see the game kicking you out when you like your game. You should be able to continue playing.

You can change those values as you prefer. 450.10.1 & 727.2.17 are the default values.

START_DATE = "450.10.1"
END_DATE = "727.2.17"

This is a guide to explain how to change the date in the game. But it was made at release so, the mod is maybe outdated. I don't play anymore.

Is original start end years the 450 resp 727 or was they an mod examples?
When is original start end year in vanilla game?

The game is made to be editable easily by editing txt files of the game. So you don't really need mod for this.
