(DEPRECATED) More Aggressive Personalities (Compatibility Version)

Description
DEPRECATED: The base More Aggressive Personalities mod now uses this layout, use that instead. I have updated this for 3.0, but will likely not do any updates beyond this.

Tired of Devouring Swarms not devouring much? Tired of Determined Exterminators being lazy about exterminating. In general, empires that are supposed to be scary being mostly a roadblock of blocked borders and not much else. This mod attempts to fix this.

This mod increases the aggression of various "supposed to be aggressive" AI personalities, but without making them suicidal like Metalheads are (aka, the changed personalities will still mostly only take fights they think they have a good chance of not losing). This means if an AI is falling behind due to it derping its economy, it still will play passive. To fix that, you will want an AI mod or a difficulty customization setting (AI bonuses) mod.

For a version that is compatible with Starnet AI, take a look at the Starnet AI version

This is a compatibility focused version of More Aggressive Personalities, that does not overwrite the vanilla file common/personalities/00_personalities.txt. This version thus shouldn't "step on top of" other mods that modify this file, at the possible cost of it being more likely the engine won't pick up on the changes.

Note: This mod is not compatible with Spacedock: Adaptive AI Ship Design, as that mod quite heavily modifies personalities, and this mod's changes won't actually take effect.
Nor is it compatible with compatible with Ethics and Civics Alternative.

The changes are:

evangelising_zealots: aggressiveness 1.25 -> 1.5
slaving_despots: aggressiveness 1.5 -> 3.0 # Note they have a low bravery, so they will only pick on empires they significantly outpower
fanatic_purifiers: aggressiveness 2.0 -> 5.0
devouring_swarm: aggressiveness 3.0 -> 7.0, bravery 1.1 -> 1.15
exterminators: aggressiveness 2.0 -> 6.5
fanatic_befrienders: aggressiveness 2.0 -> 3.0

awakened_fallen_empire_spiritualist: aggressiveness 1.5 -> 2.5, bravery 2.0 -> 1.26
awakened_fallen_empire_materialist: aggressiveness 1.0 -> 1.5, bravery 2.0 -> 1.12
awakened_fallen_empire_xenophobe: aggressiveness 2.0 -> 5.0, bravery 2.0 -> 1.2
awakened_fallen_empire_xenophile: aggressiveness 0.5 -> 0.75, bravery 2.0 -> 1.17
awakened_fallen_empire_machine: aggressiveness 1.0 -> 1.5, bravery 2.0 -> 1.1

(bravery reductions are to keep the now more aggressive empires from becoming too suicidal)

For reference, metalheads have an aggressiveness and bravery of 10.0 (this is untouched by the mod, Paradox already did a good job making them suicidally aggressive)

@Kepos Sure. All my mods are open source (a shame I can't note that on my profile somewhere). All I ask for is credit.

Hello @TechSY730, you made a great mod and I'm playing often with it. For multiplayer and centralised localisation, I have started a private merged-mod project. Included are theme related mods, so players get more variability and are able to load by one click. Now the positive demand seems growing beyond private quarters and it might be a good idea to change it into an official released mod. Therefore I'd like to ask your permission to have your mod included into the mod collection . I've sent you a friend invite and with your permission granted, I'd like to name you as co-author and probably start some co-working. Thank you!

@Angel Yes, it is compatible with Glavius AI, as he hasn't modded the personality files yet.
For whatever reason, Paradox has made it so all personalities except the genocidal ones are no longer hesitant to join a federation, and left the old values commented out, making me wonder if this is a temporary hack for a bug of some sort. I did merge that into this mod.
As it is a change I pulled in from vanilla, they would likely be just as federation happy in vanilla (barring federation evaluation breaking with overridden personalities)

Also, this mod does not affect federation. I played with it and by 2400, almost everyone was in a federation one way or another.

Is this mod compatible with glavius AI? it is finally back so i want to try it out.

Node, federation_acceptance is in sync with vanilla values. It may be another mod or it may be that overwriting personalities in a new file breaks federation logic (like it happens with living_standards and pop political power)

I may have messed up the federation willingness setting, I'll check

can i change this setting ingame without a mod too? i don´t know if it is this mod or one of my cosmetic mods (flags + rooms) but nobody is building a federation anymore

thank you! perfect. that´s what i was looking for. i made custom civs to be in a galaxy with me and i wanted 2 of them as a threat to the rest. but they just were idle and got killed every time :-(
