Three-lane roundabout road

Description
Based on the 3-way small heavy road from Network Extensions, adapted for roundabouts.

- No pedestrian crossings (cosmetic)
- No inner pedestrian lane (dissuades peds from trying to cross in most cases)
- No zoning
- No parking
- No road arrows
- Road lightning moved to the outer pedestrian lane

No mods are needed but TMPE is recommended for more control over the crossings, speed, etc and Network Extensions 2 for the great roads that goes quite well with this one.

👍, works great even on one my (silly) experimental roundabouts: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2036723518

@Fireside The FHWA says that "Bicycle lanes are not recommended within the circulatory roadway of roundabouts, as it has been demonstrated internationally to have adverse safety effects" ~ https://safety.fhwa.dot.gov/intersection/innovative/roundabouts/fhwasa10006/#s63

Oh, this sounds perfect! 3-lanes is just right for roundabouts, but highways are too fast. And I like not being able to accidentally zone on it -- and even leaves more zoning space on joining streets.

I would suggest a lower default speed limit, though, if that's something you can change:
> Roundabouts operate most safely when their geometry forces traffic to enter and circulate at slow speeds. ~ https://safety.fhwa.dot.gov/intersection/innovative/roundabouts/fhwasa10006/#s6
But right now this is the same speed as a medium road. Maybe drop it to 40kph? The slower the speed the easier it is for traffic to merge on, and the more vehicles can fit in it at a time.

Oh, and how does this need After Dark? I did just buy that today, but I don't want to make any workshop assets using this if it forces people to have that DLC...

Hi Max, thanks for the great road. Might I request a variant with a standard green bicycle lane on the outside please :)

@Lucas don't mention it! Come to think of it, you may run into some funny ped behavior due to the missing inner pedestrian lane. Let me know how it goes if you try it out. Cheers!

To be honest I just wanted to toggle on zoning on your road, I prefer it because it hasn't any crosswalks so it looks cleaner than the one in Network Extensions 2. Either way, gonna try what you said. Thank you for your help! :)

Hey Lucas, thanks man!
You mean you want to do a new asset based on this one? Sure, and zoning is quite simple to change. In the Asset Editor is under Basic > Properties > Enable zoning.
If that’s the only thing you want to change, you may try your luck with one of the mods to toggle zoning instead. Or perhaps you could use the original Network Extensions 2 road. Either way, good luck!
