TABS // Lag sollution

TABS is a pretty laggy game but there is a good solution to greatly reduce it

How to do it

Nobody has replied anything about this breaking their game with this but if it does there are more guides to reset it. I am not responsible

Step 1: Open your library and find TABS
Step 2: Right click on the icon and select Properties
Step 3: In the Properties menu, click on Set Launch Options
Step 4: Type in -force-d3d9 and click Go
Step 5: Launch the game and experiment with the speed and lag. You may need to set your resolution lower and turn things off.
Step 6 (REQUIRED): You can experiment with the Video tab in settings but do NOT turn off Vsync. It will make the game slower.
NOTICE: This wont fix all lag and the rest of it is your computer, but this will reduce it greatly. Don't think you can run a 100 mammoth vs 100 mammoth battle now. This is overall just a laggy game and a newer computer may be required for a smooth, lag free game.

If I had to guess it forces a certain version of DirectX or something similar. Usually a handful of your indie game titles can run smoother on older software versions... latest isn't always the greatest. lol

This actually helped me alot. i can finnaly run those 150v150 at a FPS that i can actually see what´s happening in the battle.

Disturbed you might have a virus check up on that and if not try deleting things your not using

didnt work, last time i played was when dynasty came out and i had a smooth 60fps 90% of the time now i cant even hit that in the main menu

Ah im always skeptical about these things but i literally just bought the game and its really not running smooth. Ill try this and if it works im gonna keep it

I'm not quite sure what exactly what -force-d3d9 does, but what I do know is that typing it in will not effect gameplay. The game will run super smooth, the only difference is that a couple options that aren't in the ingame settings will be disabled, which will effect the level of lag tremendously.
