Description
A script with a HUD icon for the side-by-side double-barreled shotgun (sawn/sawed-off or not) as a secondary weapon. The actual weapon silhouette looked like a tiny featureless banana, so I decided to show the action instead.

Type: stylized Flash outline

This addon replaces SCRIPTS (changes the in-game weapon stats)! It only works on a server (i.e. your own or your friend's host) which has this script enabled. That also means that if a server is enforcing consistency, you may get kicked. Disable this mod and restart the game if you have trouble with joining servers.

That also means that you need to subscribe to 1 (one) of the "Required Items" to get the model itself. Do not ignore the window that pops up after you subscribe! If you do, you can find them (the Required Items) to the right of the preview/description/comment section, where the author(s) is(are) credited and the stats are shown.

The script changes are:
  • HUD icon (duh)
  • 2 round capacity (def. 10)
  • Tier 0 pistol (def. T2 shotgun)
  • Can be used when incapacitated (might have to switch weapons manually)
  • Unlimited ammo, but no gibbing and no bonus damage up close (pistol ammo type)
  • Pistol attachment (holster)
  • PumpShotgun response rules (no more "Autoshottie is mine")

Ahhh I see! I did not know that. Its fine as is then I say, even without gibbing. Its absence is hardly a deal-breaker, I was just curious.

Maybe it would improve the entire thing... I haven't used custom scripted weapons for a long time, and can't really tell how satisfying they are to use.

However, the Magnum ammo type is an instant kill on Common Infected on all difficulties, even on Realism, which potentially would make it too OP.

Would having the ammo type be magnum_pistol preserve its functionality while allowing it to gib, or would that break the entire thing?

It uses the pistol ammo type so it's infinite. The ammo type determines certain effects like special death animations and gore.

yup i went on a spree installed swaped and moved around like 50 mods for about an hour straight, then just started playing nothing good could have come out of that.

Well, that's actually the most common problem. It's one of those "have you tried turning it on and off" moments, so I don't even bother these days with replying "check your addons for conflicts" or something. Scripts are weird, so they require a restart.

Some for the custom melee weapon, but it turns out it was just my scripts messing up (all of them) because i installed bunch of mods without restarting the game to organize everything.

Turns out it was just the map forcing the script to turn off, its the Curse Of Lazar Castel just in case you wanted to know. Great mod btw
