Description
Ah, Windhelm. Cold, bleak, inhospitable, and you thought you could escape!
It took you so long to build up the courage to make a run for the border. Would you flee to Morrowind? Even the ash must be less oppressive than this! Perhaps you'd make your way south to Elsewyr, find a new life amongst the giant cats...

But it was not to be, instead, as you made your way through the Eastern mountains, you stumbled into an Imperial ambush - and even though you weren't a Stormcloak, you were arrested and carted off with them... and now you're right back where you started. Well, it's better than getting your head chopped off... maybe.

Wind's Refuge is a tiny, dingy hole in the wall, barely a home, hardly more than a storage shed. In fact, this property is such a horrible, depressing place to live that you didn't even bother to sell it, you just picked up what you could carry and left. Nonetheless, it is still a safe, dry, somewhat warm place to sleep and store your belongings.

What it features: A few containers. 1 bed. 1 fire. 1 cookpot.
Amenities? NO!
Crafting tables? NO!
Lofty ceilings and beautiful old architecture? Divines, NO!

You ask where to find it? How could you forget?
On arrival in Windhelm, turn right toward Callixto's, then down to the left, through a tunnel toward the Gray Quarter/docks, you should see the door at the bottom.

Welcome home, s'wit.

If you want a hole-in-the-wall kind of house where you can spend evenings reconsidering your life choices to the sound of the frozen wind, this is pretty great

Alright, perfect!

all the storage -should- be safe. Barring any weird bugs. The home is a no-respawn zone.

Also, is the knapsack safe storage? Forgot to ask.

I paired this with the Solitude bridge-home here on the workshop, it really creates an interesting divide between the two cites of Windhelm and Solitude! It's quite enjoyable, and each actually catches the PERFECT aesthetic of each city. This mod, the bleak, unequal an tension-filled atmosphere of Windhelm: The other, the free, progressive minds of the pompous Solitude inhabitants. Thanks for this mod, It's become a personal fave!

Oh. Yeah I never looked that one up.

Ah, but 'S'wit' means stupid. I wanted to use that word, like your character was a dummy for getting caught.

Actually, it's N'wah, not s'wit. N'wah means slave or outsider/foreigner.

I'll actually make my recreated Nerevarine live here. I lived in the Corprusarium anyway. Can't get worse then that, frankly, though there's no badass spider-Dwarf here.
